This review comes from our patient: Mr. Adams. To: Dr. Roger Palutsis and the entire staff of the Carnation Clinic, I am taking some time out from the current winter spell here in November to express some heartfelt words during the aftermath of my recent hip surgery. First of all, at the age of fifty-six this was the first time that I had ever had a surgical procedure of any kind so yes, I’ve been lucky to this point. That being said, I had known for a couple of years that this day would be coming in my future. In retrospect, it came sooner. Prior to making my decision, I stumbled upon Dr. Palutsis’ name through a mutual friend in the front part of 2014. He had recently had the procedure with Dr. Palutsis. Our mutual friend told me, talked about his speedy recovery and motivated me to research this doctor and talk to his friend. In a nutshell, I did just that through my inquiries, I found myself leaning towards seeing him. I must say that my initial consultation was uplifting. Not only did he make me feel very at ease; I felt like I wanted the surgery the next day. That is how sure I felt about Dr. Palutsis. His confidence was overwhelming. And it seemed like I was armed with all the information needed to make my decision. Further, the two-step less invasive procedure was designed to get patients back up in the game of life with little/ no recovery. This also peeked my interest as well since I am an active person. The fact that Dr. Palutsis was well-versed in this procedure and had done many of these surgeries assured me that he was the one for me. In addition, whenever I had to deal with the staff, be it scheduling, billing or pre-certification; it was a breeze. From start to finish, whether it was my stay at Alliance Community Hospital or my visits to the Carnation Clinic, I have nothing but the finest things to say concerning my entire surgical episode. There is a lot of professionalism at these facilities, and I believe you should be recognized. That is why I am taking my time to thank each and every one. I hope nothing but the best for all of you in this upcoming holiday season and I look forward to seeing you in 2015 when I return to see Dr. Palutsis near the end of June. In the meantime, I have been bicycling right up until the snow fell. Usually, I was doing 10 miles each time out with a long ride of 15 miles. Hopefully, next summer, I will get back to 25-25 miles. I am also working out at a local Planet Fitness location to get my strength back in my legs. Swimming was another activity I enjoyed at summer’s end. I realize that running might be a thing of the past but I’ll find other ways to stay active. In summation, I believe that anyone who contemplates impending surgery must have trust and faith in who you select. For me, this was a slam dunk when I chose Dr. Palutsis. His credentials and is affiliation with University of Mount assured me I was making the right choice. From there, you must set your mind to the recovery and meet the surgeon half-way. He can correct your pain. It is then up to you to commit to the necessary therapy to gain your recovery. Thank you and Happy Holiday Robert J. Adams
