We went in with Stella...( Our siamese cat) She was urinating outside of the litter box, We suspected a UTI. The DOC confirmed.. Gave her 3 shots (Not sure what they were) and 3 sets of pills to take home and give her daily for 3 weeks. Well after just one day on the pills he prescribed, She wouldnt get up from one spot and was vomiting and VERY bad diarrhea. So we took her back to Able to see the DOC, He said it probably becasue we couldnt get her to take the bedtime pill... So he gave her ANOTHER shot? He is the DOCTOR so we went along... Then we took her home and symptoms got worse.. Not eating, wouldnt drink water... vomiting stomach bile .. it was late so nothing was open, We took her to Emergency Animal & Specialty center... Doctor Brown checked her out and said he thinks all that medicine was a little excessive for her.. He normally treats a UTI with one shot and pain relief meds (all that are given in his office) No take home meds... He advised us to take her off all the pills. He put fluids in her back... Needless to say this place just over prescribes to get more money.. Ill never go back. I want to make sure NO ONE elses animal has to go through what my poor Stella did! She is only a year old.. She does not need all that medication.. I truly hope you guys will learn to not over medicate. It truly is WRONG AND can really hurt these animals.. I dont care if the combo of these medications were OK together its A LOT to be cramming down her throat.. Also he gave her a Convenia shot for the UTI and 3 others, We still have no idea what those other 3 shots were??? Its a UTI! Ive had cats in the past who have had them, They got ONE SHOT and maybe some pain meds... What the HELL IS 4 SHOTS AND 3 WEEKS worth of medication?? All the staff and doctors at the Emergency clinic thought this was a little strange... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE... I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING HERE...DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME.

I hate to do this, as they were indeed very nice people, but it wouldnt be fair to future animals if I didnt. I had adopted shelter cats and took them in for their first exam here. The vet diagnosed them with upper respiratory infections and prescribed $260 worth of meds for them, which seemed high to me. In order to give the cats their pills, they required a pill popper. The vet had them, but the assistant said theyd "have" to charge "an arm and a leg" for it, so Id be better off driving all the way to Petsmart, picking up the pill popper there (all of $3.99), then driving all the way back (the cats were still there) just so they could get their pills. I dont know why they didnt just give a discount on the pill poppers they already had there, especially after paying them $260 already for the pills themselves. It wouldve saved a LOT of trouble. Later on, the cats got sicker. We were advised to take them to a different vet, which fortunately, we did. The new vet was "shocked" that Able Animal Hospital didnt notice their apparently obvious jaundice in addition to the URI, indicating that they had fatty liver disease, which Able didnt even mention as a possibility. The new vet had a look at the meds prescribed, said they were indeed overpriced, two of the meds the cats didnt even need for the URI, and one was actually an immunosuppresant that was making them worse. One of my cats almost died. $1100 of vet bills later at the new vet, which included IVs, overnight stays, even more new meds (less this time), special foods, and syringe feeding (later done by a wonderful foster), the cats fortunately made a miracle recovery. I wish we had never taken them to Able Animal Hospital. Again, very nice people, but...

-Yes, the positive reviews are pouring in from REAL CLIENTS NOW to defend a Dr. And his staff, just as the negative ones from ppl who have never been to the clinic. I would never let my childs teeth get to the point of rotting out of their head, so that is irrelevant. Your dog is feeling much better without 3 dead teeth, I think thats the point, not your ego. -Ive been taking my pets to Able animal hospital for years and have NEVER had a problem. No, its not fancy, but its clean and fully functioning. The staff are very active in rescue, and Dr. Sandhu is generous to those rescues. If you want to go to a vet with italian ceramic tile, a 500 gallon fish tank and a bathroom attendant, by all means go and pay the exorbitant prices. As far as this nonsense about rotten teeth, Im a groomer and I see it all the time. Why would you not want rotten teeth extracted? Mad because you didnt get a call to "get your permission"? Get over yourself! Its so plain to see that you are the minority in your opinion about Dr. Sandhu and his staff. Btw, I AM a real person writing this review. Feel free to look me up so I can take you down a few more pegs.

We take all of our family pets here.. The staff and Dr. take great care and provide us with the info and "proper care" for our pets.. unlike some of the reviews below that obviously neglect theirs Marisa and Amanda K.( I believe you spell your last name >Kiefer?.Its all public record and believe me theres a lot more I could dig up if youd want to go the harassment route you started. You And Nana McWicked are nothing but inflammatory responses along with Thomas Molich on behalf of Chyrl Coleman and her boyfriend Mr.Savic.. with a ridiculous and childish attack on a reputable business that you never frequented or visited.5 star review fake? You mean like your "fake"1 star review? That just happened to pop up the same day Chyrl and Mr Savic called you to gang up on Able Animal Hospital?. We all seen the pics that were posted. Its nothing but neglect on the owner of that animal. The doctor and that staff did a great humanitarian service to stop the animal from suffering. And at no charge! Get a life people.Your little temper tantrums only go so far.. and a can of worms will open!

I have taken my pets to more than a few different vets over the years ranging from high end to low cost. Yes high end facilities look perfect... But it was empty. No compassion, no warmth, no love for my babies. I found that Doctor S is wonderful caring Vet who will take that extra moment to explain the diagnosis. If you have any quest he is more than willing to answer them, if he cant his office staff and vet techs will. You can tell that his team all love animals and that is a quality I rarely found in any of my other vets. I recently had an emergency situation with my senior girl and it was pretty dire! I was crying, Doc and his team not only took amazing care of my Diva, but of me as well. The price was reasonable for both her care and aftercare(Meds). I would definitely bring back both Diva & GiGi. Thank you doc and staff for everything!

Dr. Sandhu and the team at Able Animal Hospital absolutely saved our dog Dixie from certain death last week. They stayed late, came in on a SUNDAY and were so caring and concerned for Dixie and our entire family. Dixie, a senior dog, was suffering from a sudden illness. My family and I could not believe the dedication and commitment of this wonderful team. Also, they were very competitively priced - no vet service is free, but kept my budget in mind and waived office visit exam fees and didnt even charge me extra for coming in on a Sunday. If your pet is ill, there is no better choice than Able Animal Hospital for you and your pet!
