Took my cat here twice for the last two weeks for her decreased appetite. They asked me questions about the cat they never answered or followed up anyways. Whats the point of asking me about her bowel movements, odd behaviors, or irregular breathing if you will toss it with "oh, cats do that sometimes". They left me still clueless and confused. After spending nearly 700 bucks for two tests and seeing two doctors, my cat isnt still well and all I hear from the doctors when I call with a concern is "wait and see if she gets better". I could not find a sign of concern or seriousness in the staffs voice when I was on the phone with some questions. The staffs were more concerned about taking cats profile picture than actually taking a look at her. They take your pet to the back of the room which Im not a fan of (after hearing my baby scream and cry like she never has before). Drawing blood sample or giving a vitamin shot can be done in front of the owner for sure. And lastly, dear staffs, please stop putting lotion or any scented products on your hands before handling the animals. I could not stand smelling peppermint lotion on my cats coat and seeing her licking it off for hours when we got home. Today Im taking her to a new vet. Hope this one is any good.

Very disappointed with this animal hospital. We had taken our dogs here for some time, and felt the staff was rough with our dogs. The veterinarian we had always seemed rude and had made an insulting comment about our female dog. I mention this comment because we were on a healthier diet with her and she was losing weight due to more exercise, but the vet insisted she had gained too much weight and we needed to do something about it. The comment was humorous because before she made this remark, the assistant weighed her and marked down that she had lost weight since her last visit. Another problem I dealt with was our female dog needed surgery, and of course they were going to charge us a ridiculous amount. They also didnt know if she was going to need to be put under until they were about to do the operation. This didnt seem right to us, so we took our dogs to suburban animal hospital on state road. They did the surgery for almost HALF of what York was going to charge us including putting her under during surgery. Do not make the mistake of going here, and take your precious animal somewhere that really cares about the well being of your pet.

I love my dog and I try to give him the best life possible. I was very unsatisfied with my current vet so I decided to give VCA a try. The staff was super nice to us and the vet who examined my dog today found a heart murmur that in seven years had never been detected by my other vet. While I was a little scared and saddened to find out that my dog needed to see a cardiologist, I am so grateful that she found this issue and took the time to explain how not taking care of it could affect my dog for his upcoming bladder surgery. Pet owners dont view their pets as animals. They are family and to lose them is to suffer a terrible loss. I am grateful to God that I chose to come here today. I left feeling comforted that my dog is going to receive the best care possible and that all of his issues will be treated properly. I also feel more knowledgeable about what is going on with him, having had his potential treatment plan explained to me and broken down where I could understand the process. You have a customer forever with me!

I have been going there for a couple of years for the normal shots and never paid much attention. Shame on me! This last time, my dog was in pain and we needed help. They tested for things that were not even needed (checked with a friend that is a vet in another state). We left that day with a dog still in pain and several 100 dollars poorer. I will never be back. Doesnt care about the welfare of your pet, just the tests they can perform to make more money. Will find a Vet that truly cares about animals and conducts business honestly.

I have used York Road Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Ruff and her staff have been such a wonderful help to me at Animal Control. Many times I have picked up animals that needed immediate attention, and Dr. Ruff and her staff have always helped any animal I have brought in. Nancy also helps the animals at the animal shelter that are looking for a new home... You dont do these things for money, you do them because it is the right thing to do for the animals. Thank you Dr. Ruff !!!

i got the chance to do my internship with Dr. Ruff and her wonderful staff. I had a great experience and learned so much from them. The facility was beautiful, very clean and everyone was extremely professional. I definitely recommend york rd animal hospital to anyone looking for a wonderful Veterinarian! Ive been to several vets over the years. I will very easily say this is my favorite vet. You can tell they actually care about your pets and the care of your pets. They listen and explain things very well. Ive gone twice and both times they were extremely helpful and took there time with my cat. I would recommend this vet over any of the other local ones.

I have two dogs - one is elderly with many health issues. I switched to VCA about 1.5 years ago when the older dog started having issues. Dr. Kovacic is WONDERFUL. She is very knowledgeable and caring with my dog. She checks in on her periodically. My daughter just got a puppy and she is starting to bring her dog to Dr. K as well! Great Vet!

My family has gone to VCA to see Dr. Adams for a very long time. She is very kind, caring and knowledgable! I never worry about taking my two english angora rabbits there. The staff always loves to see the girls! Dr. Adams is the best! I would highly recommend her to anyone as her bedside manner with pets and parents of pets is wonderful.

I have been a long time client. About 25 years ago my parents took our dog to Dr. Ruff and she helped care for her 14 years until she passed. Due to the wonderful experiences, I decided to take my dog back to her after not having one for nearly a decade. This is probably one of the best animal hospitals in NE Ohio.

Great staff! Dr Ruff is a very caring, as well as intelligent Veterinarian! They were all amazing and gentle with my two boys (cats) Thank You for all that you do! PS ..Who wouldnt love a Dr. Ruff to take special care of your fur babies?!

Dr Ruff has been our family vet for a long time now. She took care of our first dog when i was young and now she sees my dog for 6 years now. For all that time she has been a very caring vet. I even adopted 3 loving cats from her clinic.
