From a woman who swore she would never go to a Chiropractor, I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Confident that all medicine is NOT created equal, nor those who practice it, the team at Essential Health & Wellness exceed expectations. After years of pain from car accidents and both collegiate and post collegiate athletics, my body had finally had enough. When I finally made the call to EHW, it was one of desperation. From my first visit to my last, they took the time to develop and follow a treatment plan that met my individual needs. If you are anything like me and have concerns based on the rumors you have heard about Chiropractors, I cannot attest to other Chiropractors. However, what I can share from my own experience is that the team at Essential Health & Wellness goes beyond the stereotypical professionalism and insightfulness one should expect from their medical practitioner. A genuine concern and passion for the total well-being of their patients, at no point will you feel as if you are simply another sheep in the herd. Going forward it is my hope that I will not need intense therapy again. Though I would be remiss not to express my immense gratitude to Dr. Schaefer and the others who have helped me in this journey. Should things not go according to my plan (because we all know this never happens) and I need any form of assistance, I can honestly say without a doubt that my first call will be to Essential Health & Wellness.

I had a very bad experience with this doctor. A medical assistant/receptionist was the one to explain my Xray results and findings instead of the doctor. She told me based on the Xrays the doctor recommended 30 visits. She then told me that it would cost around $1100 and that a payment plan was available if I could not pay up front. I told her why would I do that when my Insurance would cover for 20 visits and pay for the co-payment up to $750. I have a health savings fund which she did not even bother to check before trying to sell me for 30 visits. I also told her that since the year was almost up in 4 months, I would have another 20 visits starting on the next calender year. I believe this practice wanted me to sign up for all 30 visits regardless of my siutation and wanted to collect from me despite what my insurance would cover. It seems to be standard practice for every pt that walks through to be sold a package. I find this troubling because I have since gone to another Chiropracter who I see on a as needed basis. He tells me that I currenlty only need to come in around once a month and if I feel I need to come in more often it is up to me. I find this to be more appropriate. Buyer beware. You may be pushed to agree to more treatments than you acutually need. On top of this I find this doctor to be average at best at what he does. He seems to excel more in theory and how to maximize his profits

I started coming to this office after a referral from a coworker. Fast forward almost 3 years, and I am still a happy customer. The office is quite, staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I primarily go for massages with my girl Betty. This woman KNOWS her craft, and will change your life. I am currently working through a serious injury, and seeing her on the regular is the only thing getting me through. Im not joking, if you want a high quality massage, call, and schedule with Betty! I also go here for Chiro services, but not as frequent as massages. The adjusts are great, I certainly feel like my concerns are listened to, and taken into consideration before every adjustment. Now living about 35 minutes away, I still travel across town to come here, its worth it!! Im also not sure about cost with insurance, but my adjustments are $35, and massages vary from $35 to $45, so fairly priced for out of pocket cost. They usually are flexible with scheduling, and I dont typically get pushed further than a few days to get in, though it does happen from time to time with massages.

I have been a patient of this practice for over four years now. I started when it was previously owned. During that time the office had an entirely different environment and none of the docs could get my back right. I suffer from very complicated back problems. According to the MDs I need about five surgeries in diffe rent areas of my spine. Since doctor Schaefer has treating me I have been nothing but satisfied. His treatment and recommendations have kept me off the sugery table and saved me thousands of dollars in medical bills and medications As long as i comply with my treatments his care has been very effective for me. He also is a very nice and knowkedgeable person. He educates his patients along the way. And last but not least he truly cares about his patients. He gets to know them as people not just as patients. He has a passion for what he does. He goes above and beyond to ensure that his patients get the care they need and his staff are wonderful and very helpful as well. Thank you Dr. Schaefer and Essentials Health and Wellness Staff !!!

I can’t say enough good about Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Brad. I moved to Columbus 14 years ago and have searched all of these years for an excellent chiropractor, to no avail. Then an acquaintance recommended Dr. Schaefer and I found exactly what I had been looking for. I was in such awful pain when I first arrived. I had been to doctors, physical therapists and other chiropractors. These two doctors listen to my needs, ask questions, and then deal with my issues. They suggest exercises and stretches to do at home. Now I am back to doing my complete 1½ hour exercise program daily. Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Brad have truly improved my quality of life. Also, I get one hour massages from Justin and he’s amazing. I am fairly flexible and Justin stretches my muscles like no one else has. It is an hour of full pampering for a great price!!! To top it all off, these men so nice!! I would say sweet but guys usually get embarrassed by that :-)

I began seeing Dr. Brad at the end of 2011. I have taken a couple of good falls during my life, the last one being in November, 2010. I walked crooked and every step was painful. I had never been to a chiropractor before and really did not know what to expect. All I knew was that I hurt all over all the time. With therapy and adjustments, Dr. Brad literally GAVE ME BACK MY LIFE. In September, 2014 we moved 2 hrs away. I have currently seen two local chiropractors and am not satisfied at all. I have been back to see Dr. Brad twice since moving. If I have an excuse to be in Columbus, I will always go see these guys. Friendly, helpful staff. Great atmosphere. I LOVE Essential Health and Wellness and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Coming into this practice I experienced pain so extensive I could NOT get out of bed in the morning. After reviewing my xrays and formulating a good corrective care plan based on MY needs, following the doctors orders regarding icing and stretching, and getting the occasional massage I am on the road to recovery. I thank the staff at Granger Chiropractic for the awesome attention, education, and help I have received along my road to recovery. I can now get out of bed in the morning and have more energy than I did when I was 13. Thanks again doctors and staff at Granger Chiropractic!
