One star for North Kenny Veterinary Hospital, located at: 4590 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220, is one star to many. This facility was recently used by Heather Johnson, a representative of an organization called the Italian Greyhound Club of America (IGCA), to facilitate the kidnapping of two dogs placed in my and my husbands care to foster and eventually adopt. Yes, thats right! The staff at the North Kenny Veterinary Hospital and, in particular one of their staff members, Morgan, will work in tandem with others (IGCA) operating under false pretenses to facilitate the unlawful removal (kidnapping) of your pets. You see, after not only being fully vetted and completely approved to be foster parents and, future adopters of our two IG fosters, Wally and Patty, they were taken away from us 30 minutes after being dropped off at the North Kenny Veterinary Hospital for what beloved to be routine visits. The false pretense was a "booster" for Wally, where as we had been told on a previous visit by Morgan, of the North Kenny Veterinary Hospital, that "Wally is good to go" and "We dont need to see him for another year," and the other false pretense for Patty was an urgent dental check up, where as Morgan and I had just spoken about future dates and times that would not conflict with my schedule. Until North Kenny Veterinary Hospital orders the resignation and removal of staff member Morgan, and publicly admits their participation in the unlawful removal of our dogs while in their temporary custody and control, as well as publicly apologize for such facilitation, and petitions the IGCA for the resignation and removal of Heather Johnson, I would implore, no beg, anyone thinking of trusting them with the care and safety of your most prized possession, to reconsider.

We have been going to North Kenny Veterinary for years, starting with Dr. Headlee to our current Dr. Ott. We have always been very pleased with the level of care and compassionate support. North Kenny has supported us through some difficult times as we dealt with end of life issues and through the joy of new puppies. Through it all they have been a source of comfort and guidance. They offer so much more than medical support. The kennel care has been a great resource when we vacation. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always helpful and caring. The most satisfying, is the time spent in the exam rooms; The doctors and staff are always patient and willing to spend ample time with us to answer any questions and probe for information to help solve problems. The veterinary techs are amazing, the experience and know how they offer is much appreciated. The doctors really care about our pets. They know us and our pets very well. They understand the personalities and tendencies of us both and use that understanding to treat the issues effectively. North Kenny Veterinary is definitely our favorite choice for pet care. We have been in situations where we have been in other vet offices and we continue to know North Kenny is best. I readily recommend North Kenny Veterinary to others pet owners. :)

If you choose to have your dog groomed here, please do so at your own risk. My large breed dog needed groomed so I booked an appointment with Linda and the following resulted: 1. She never showed up to the appointment time, I had to leave my dog with receptionist 2. She called two hours later with a quote four times more than I expected and refused to work with me on what I wanted to have done 3. When I came at the end of the day to get my dog I was told to come back almost two hours later - at 7pm 4. After waiting to get him, I was called to the back to get my dog because he refused to move 5. I found my dog EXTREMELY stessed out, he had whale eyes, was hyperventilating and foaming at the mouth. A vet had to be called in to check him because his condition was so bad but no one ever contacted me about it 6. I called them the next day to discuss my concerns and even though they claimed some culpability they refused to do anything about it I refuse to patronize any business who is ok with my dog (or any pet) being treated like he was here. He was just supposed to be groomed, not traumatized. He was by far the most stressed I have ever seen him and it terrified me and my family.

I have been taking my dogs here since 2011. I have received nothing short of the best, most caring experience here. My childhood dog, Casey was diagnosed with Kidney failure by another vet practice, with which I had a terrible experience. I brought her to North Kenny and the experience was a complete 180. They were extremely compassionate, knowledgeable, kind, and honest until the very end. Many months later I adopted my dog Maya and knew that Id never take her to any other vet practice. She has again received the most wonderful care. I do not have a specific vet that I see, as I trust her with all of the veterinarians. The staff is so friendly. I have since moved completely across town and North Kenny is completely out of the way of both my work and home and I will still continue to take Maya here. I wish I felt the same way about my own doctor and dentist as I do about Mayas!

Dr. Ott was our vet in Westerville and we followed her across town when she moved to this practice. She is great with our dogs and a wonderful diagnostician. We have quite a few dogs and I like the fact the vet techs are kind and knowledgeable too. I have had limited but positive interaction with the other two vets so if Dr. Ott were not available, I would trust either of them to see my dogs. I suspect some of the negative comments have to do with one person at the front desk. My recommendation is to bypass her, ask for another receptionist and make the appointment for your pet. The vets & vet techs are excellent and your pet will receive excellent care.

We love North Kenny!Dr. Ott was our vet at another location for several years; we would follow her anywhere. Gracie, who is a high-strung German Short Hair mix, has become a gentle, sweet dog, thanks to Dr. Otts guidance and treatment. Jackson, a lab-chow mix, is completely in love with her. Both dogs enjoy their visit to North Kenny Vet Hospital as much as they do a trip to the park. Seriously. The vet techs--and everyone who works with the animals--at North Kenny are terrific, too.

We have had the best experiences here! Our dog has gotten great, professional care. The staff is eager to assist and always pleasant! Wait times are minimal. We have also used them for boarding, and Domino seems to have a great time- he was happy and healthy when we picked him up after vacation! They even made a little doggy suitcase for him! I highly recommend this office!

Our dog Brutus was not himself and didnt have an appetite for the past few weeks. We took him to see the vet and discovered he had severe dental disease. He was scheduled for a dental the next day and was back to himself within a day. We cant thank them enough... Dr. Ott was so kind and diagnosed the problem immediate. The prices are very reasonable also.

I have taken our dogs here since Dr Headlee first owned this back in the 1960s. In the past few years, it seems that their focus has shifted from patient care to their own bottom line. As a result, I am now taking our toy poodle to Knapp Veterinary Hospital. I am amazed at the amount of compassion and patient care I now receive. Stay away from these people!
