I have two cats that have visited Northstar Animal care and I was very pleased with both visits. My first visit was just a checkup for my first cat. He was purring and loving the attention the vets and staff were giving him! Even though he did not need any medical attention that day, he was still handled with great love and care. My second visit was after I adopted a cat from a friend. She had never been to a vet and she was 6 years old. Dr. Parson and techs handled her with exceptional care and went great lengths to keep her comfortable and not stressed out. We found that she had a heart murmur and Dr. Parson explained everything that needed to be done before she could be spayed safely. I was very impressed that Dr. Parson was concerned about the safety of her surgery and her overall health. She has since been seen by a cardiologist and cleared to be spayed. I cannot thank Dr. Parson and the vet staff for their love, care and concern for my kittys health and safety. My animals will be life-long patients at Northstar.

Our first visit at the 5th ave location was yesterday morning. I have seen the building many times in passing and was looking for a place to take my new pup. Based on other reviews, I chose to make an appointment here. Ive been to other animal hospitals in the past, but this one is definitely the best yet. The woman at the desk was very friendly, helpful, and kind. When we got situated into our room, I noticed they had a dry erase board that said "Welcome" with all of the pets names, including my new puppy! The tech, Jen, and Dr. Kirby were very easy going. I adopted my dog from the shelter and he has been timid around strangers. They sat with him on the floor while they did his exam. They were very open to questions and addressed everything I had mentioned over the phone when I first made the appt. Really happy with the entire experience! Highly recommend.

Words cannot describe what it is like to have a sick pet. The family at Northstar Animal Care are truly professionals. Dr. Adam Parson and his staff treated my kitty (of 15 years) with nothing but tender loving care. Offering the right advice, the right tests, and the right treatments has made all the difference in her life. Ashley Anthony, a veterinarian assistant, was incredibly sweet and loving towards my kitty when they kept her for a few hours for tests. I left knowing she was in good hands. This means the world when you have someone that you love so much in need of help. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone there. I would never go anywhere else for pet care.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Adam Parson and his staff at Northstar Animal Care. In December we brought our 3 year old GSD with a torn up rear knee to him. Dr. Parson evaluated the injury and agreed to perform a Tightrope procedure on the knee. Every single step from the initial consultation to the final checkup and review was professional and courteous. They *cared* about my dog and about my ability to rehab the injured knee. The surgery was very successful as was the recovery. I recommend Dr. Parson and this business without reservation.

I came to Northstar because my normal vet wasnt able to see my pet same day. They were very accommodating and worked me in despite a tight schedule and even though I was expecting a wait, they saw me nearly immediately. We met w Dr. Giadis, who I understand is new to the Vet Hospital, but she was awesome. Everyone was super kind and understanding and did a great job of explaining the issues with my dog and best treatment options. Suffice it to say, they very easily earned the rating and we will be back.

I went here because of the other good reviews Ive read about it, and they were right! Everyone who I talked to there seemed to genuinely love animals and want the best for my cat. They knew what they were talking about and were able to fix my kitty up quickly, and cost effectively for me. Plus, they even had my cat purring at one point, which I was not expecting! All around a great first time experience for me, and I will definitely be using them in the future.

I love this vet clinic. My cats have been treated by Adam and Joanna Parson for fibrosarcoma, and dental care, respectively. The results of their care are outstanding, and, equally importantly, both vets and their entire staff are kind, professional, and competent. From the top to the bottom everyone treats you and your pet with compassion. Very friendly and professional environment. I have had dogs since 1988 and the Parsons are the best vets I have met.
