I got my exam done else where but couldnt find glasses, so took the prescription and shopped around. I found a pair at vision works in grove city, the gentleman who was working the evening I found the frames I liked was very friendly and the only reason this review is getting two stars. he informed me that the doctor who wrote my prescription had my frames and lenses on hold through the insurance company and needed to release them since I was not purchasing through them so I could proceed. he wrote a note for the staff for the next day along with the frames I wanted and I copy of the paper work I filled out. I went in next day and no one had called to get my benefits released so we could start the process. this is where it all begin. the lady working this evening called and got the benefits released and fitted me for my new frames, after she up sold me on the lenses, insurance, etc. she said they dont call people when the glasses are ready for pick up because normally they are to busy, even though both days I had been in there was nobody else in the store. she also made it very clear if I had any questions to call in and ask for the gentlemen who originally helped me. she told me to check back in the following Friday, I waited and checked in on a Thursday and they were ready. I was excited but upset that no one had called to tell me they were in early. I immediately went to pick them up. they seemed a little strong but I figured I needed time to adjust. I gave them two weeks and they just werent working out. I called and told them, the nice gentlemen from my first encounter told me to come on in and they would double check everything, so I did. when I arrived it was the lady, she made it clear that the problems I was describing was the cause of a too strong of a prescription. I made a appointment with the original doctor who wrote it and he made some minor tweaks. I took my new prescription back to vision works in grove city were the lady was working again, still nobody else in the store, I should have took that as a sign. she fitted me a second time and during the fitting she said we dont normal do this for single vision but well do it for you to make sure they are perfect, in a very sarcastic tone. she also let out a little laugh. I thought that was very un professional. i need my glasses to see and i dont think that having a messed up pair of glasses is very funny. she told me originally that I could have them same day then came back and said never mind it will be a week. I waited two days and called and they were in. once again no phone call. I went in to pick them up and once again no one in the store. they felt a little crooked I told the lady, she attempted to adjust them and then laid them on the counter to make sure they were okay. they were lopsided, which you could obviously tell they were because one side touched the counter and they other side didnt. she handed them to me anyway and sent me on my way. I have been wearing these glasses for another month now constantly adjusting them throughout the day while working. not to mention i spent more money then i ever have, and i get new glasses every two years. I dont want to return to get them adjusted and get treated with disrespect from the lady whos been rude to me on all five of my encounters with her and I really just dont want to go back a 6th time and also dont feel I should have to. I will never go back to vision works and I would never recommend anyone there. by far the worst experience ive ever had when getting new lenses and frames.

I went into VisionWorks to get a new pair of prescription glasses. They came to, roughly, $550 but my insurance took care of the bulk of the expenses. After I called to see if they were done..(They dont even call and tell you that theyre in) I went in to get them and this is when the horrible customer service began... I tried them on and they looked somewhat crooked. They woman,(Kelly/Shelly) looked at them and tilted her head and said they looked fine. Huh? She did, however, adjust them. How? I have no idea. Anyways, they took my old pair and put them in the case and said to "Have a good day!" $500 bucks and no cloth to use to wipe them or solution to apply to them if they get smudged. That will cost an additional $8! Thats the biggest difference in going to an professional optometrist and a place that rents out to the Dr. Im going to see if I can get my money back and go somewhere else.

Love Vision Works! This is our second year getting vision screenings and eyeglasses from a vision works location and had fabulous experiences both times. My boys got two pairs on the twofer deal for back to school - we even got a pair of designer frames each - okay theyre clearance - they still look fabulous - and my boys dont care about designers anyway - they just love looking good and I love saving money!

Awesome experience! Jim was able to get my appointment moved up a day and was so professional and accommodating! And Dr. Miller was equally as professional and extremely knowledgeable! They both made such an amazing first visit for me!
