I suffer from chronic joint pain amongst other issues. The last two weeks have been particularly rough as I found a lump in my neck, can barely lift my arm because the lymph node is swollen in my armpit, and dealing with terrible stomach pains (some of which are worse than menstrual pains), AND troubles breathing along with sharp pains in my chest. However, instead of trying to figure out what was wrong- the doctor decided to focus on my nightly marijuana habit (in which I smoke to go to sleep and to not be in pain, nothing else works, Ive tried) and did an unwarranted psychiatric evaluation and determined my depression and anxiety is caused by pot (even though, Ive had such problems LONG before I ever started smoking) and instead of offering an alternative for my pain, swelling, and insomnia (which was my whole point of going to the doctors in the first place) stated that I was an "addict" and should "seek treatment". In the hour that I was there, 15 minutes was spent taking vitals and blood work. The other 45 minutes was being told how I have a "problem" and Im "addicted" and being talked down to. I wont lie, it was humiliating. I still feel terrible about it. So, here I am, still sick, in tremendous amounts of pain, and no answers aside from "anxiety and depression due to marijuana dependence". My hands get so swollen and stiff, its hard to even to my job now. I understand that yes, there is still stigmatism on marijuana. But instead of focusing on how bad and how mentally unhealthy I apparently am for using it, shouldnt a GOOD doctor focus on finding an alternative for the patient rather than talking down to them, talking OVER them while they try to explain themselves? Avoid this place if possible.

Literally saved my life. Walked in thinking I had bronchitis and within minutes Dr. McCormack insisted I go to the hospital by ambulance. I went to find out I had a very large blood clot in my lung. I have been going there for over 4 years and have never been disappointed. She along with Kristan are awesome. Highly recommended. Forever grateful.

I didnt think I would need the whole hour Dr McCormack slates for new patients, but between the thorough medical history and labs we used it all up! She did a really good job of listening to what was bothering me and asking clarifying questions, and listened to my opinions on the diagnosis and treatment. Really good GP.
