I had a terrible experience at Mt. Tabor Medical. I was treated by Dr. Rivas who was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and ultimately unhelpful. During our appointments I felt rushed and was treated with skepticism. I went in for an ankle/foot sprain and was told to just rest it for a couple of weeks. Two weeks later, after following their advice, my injury showed no signs of improvement. I went back for another appointment and Dr. Rivas treated me as if I was making it up! Instead of trying to help me or expressing any type of concern he made comments like, "Well, you walked in here just fine, didnt you?" His advice to me was to wear hiking shoes and to go back to work. I have a job where I am on my feet 8 hours a day. I couldnt believe it! I went back to work for one day and had an excruciating flare up. I went back for a third time where he once again accused me of exaggerating. I basically had to demand an MRI and physical therapy. The MRI showed no tears or fractures but I still had a great deal of pain and could not bear any weight on the injured foot. I was told by the doctor, "to just work with it" and to go just back to work. At this point I was furious with the treatment I had received and went to go see a specialist where I finally was properly diagnosed with soft tissue damage and a bone contusion which required a month off of work and special program in physical therapy. Do not go here! They will not help you!!

I absolutely love Mt Tabor Family Medical. Ive been a patient for more than 4 years and will drive 1.5 hours for my regular checkups because of the excellent quality of service. A few years ago I was somewhat disappointed with the reception and billing staff but have found more recent experiences to be much improved. My LPN is Anna Urbanc. She knows her stuff and she can explain succinctly and respectfully. She asks the right questions, listens attentively, takes the time to know her patient, but isnt slow. Shes noticed things other physicians overlooked. Moreover, unlike many physicians she is very conscientious of the fact that healthcare costs can be pretty intimidating if you have poor or no insurance. When I was uninsured, she took the time to estimate what labwork would cost (it actually came out lower than what she expected) and involved me in an educated decision about whether certain screenings were "worth it" based on my history, my finances, and my concerns. No surprise bills later scaring me away from getting good preventative care. How many doctors will do that?! I cannot recommend her highly enough!

The doctors are average but their billing department is a total nightmare. Just got my 4th bill from a visit in August of 2013 that had been paid by me and my insurance company. I called after every bill I received giving them my cancelled check info and believing the issue was resolved. The first time, the VERY confused gal in the billing department said she would figure it out yet never called me back. Then I got the next bill with the finance charges only to be told "thats weird - this was transferred from a totally different account" and never got a call back. At this point, I left Mt. Tabor Medical and found a new physician entirely as I cant imagine that the patient care can be any good with customer service standards like this. Now the latest bill with a note that I am being sent to collections. Thanks Mt. Tabor Medical for wasting my time. **Update** August 2014 - still trying to get this resolved, Debra in billing said she would make corrections and never did, office manager Lori will not return calls.

I am amazed someone hasnt been seriously injured due to the complete incompetence -well, laziness to be exact- of the office at this clinic. It is a miracle when a normal, routine bill gets sent or a prescription faxed. Ive been over-billed and - I guess what makes me so upset that I wrote this - is that I have to call and check up on the clerks to have them do THEIR JOBS. Over things like checking the fax tray AT 4PM. The medical staff is great - so if you have A Lot Of Time on your hands and enjoy listening to music on hold - having to chase your prescriptions around town and decipher cryptic billing statements, this is the place for you.

So I thought this place was just fine - no bad experience with the staff, saw RNP Libby, and she IS awesome. They did a great balance between getting me what I needed and not ordering unnecessary procedures that would cost me a ton of money (Im not a rich dude). Id have to say most of the people that go into a doctors office are going to be grouchy anyway, so my guess is that ANY doctors office that doesnt have IMMEDIATE 100% CARE for all their patients will occasionally get some of these kinds of complaints. I thought the service was solid.

got terrible service after being a patient there for over 8 years. There is HIGH turn over in doctors and there are too many patients per doctor and they are understaffed, overworked, and overbooked. I have waited for over an hour for a SCHEDULED appointment. Also, once i needed short turn disability and they didnt help with paperwork unless i arrived unannounced and waited for it. They were not honest with the disability people because they didnt want to deal with it anymore. I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone.

Could not provide me with results regarding cardiac problem *a full month* after I found out theyd been available to the staff here. I complained to office manager and informed them I was switching to another doctors office. Three days after complaint, I received call from a different staff member at Mt Tabor Family Medical asking which consulting office they should contact to look for the results.

My mother had cancer and when it was time to go back for her first year checkup no one took her insurance. She hadnt seen a Doc in over 7 years. The office said they accepted her insurance and we went in. The Doctor and staff have been excellent, they have gone above board to help my mother get the appointments needed that used her insurance. So for me they have been a blessing!

I would give this spot zero stars if I could. Even though the facility was in network, my first bill with them was very expensive. There were numerous lab charges, and the results took over a month for me to get. I also didnt care for the doctors or staff, there were long waiting times, and the doctor took 3 weeks to call in a prescription for me. I will never go here again.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Levins for more than 20 years. The care and attention I have received have been nothing short of perfect. I simply dont understand the negative reviews here. I consider myself very fortunate to be his patient. My only issue is I wish he would share his email address because a few times, that would have been very convenient.
