DO NOT GO HERE. i moved to portland and had a terrible time finding a doctor. I was told I would be seeing a physician as per my request, but was given "Dr." Foy---a nurse practitioner. first of all, she was incredibly rude. after providing more than adequate references, I was called a liar, accused of looking for drugs (which I didnt ask for--- just simply wanted refills of medication I was already taking as prescribed by my previous GP). she looked at my records and then she coldly asked "why" i "thought" I had PTSD. she grilled me to the point where I was very upset, and finally asked her what she thought i was trying to do. the appointment I had was extremely expensive (this was before I had health insurance) and was denied refills of any of my medications. this doctor glanced at the records I provided for a few seconds and declared that all of my diagnosis were "made up" and that "records provided by a patient couldnt be considered credible", so I asked if they could request records from my previous doctor. she then flat out stated that my psychiatric "problems" were the "real cause" of my "so-called illness" (in those words) and that I was simply a confused, mentally ill drug addict. I was told that dystonia could be cured by doing yoga (which Ive been doing since I was a child) and that I was "too young to have rheumatoid arthritis". she also said that if i were "really" so ill, i should be on disability instead of "masking my symptoms with drugs". my physical issues are visible but not incredibly obvious, but you would think a doctor would be able to tell that a person cant fake having dystonia. "Dr" Foy condescendingly told me that instead of medication, I simply needed to "learn to relax" and that my questioning her rude bedside manner was a sign of "paranoia" that "proved" what she was saying. She was degrading and actually downright mean. Eventually she relented to provide ONE of my medications, and only one bottle. She claimed I would "maybe" be allowed refills if clearance could be obtained via my previous doctor, so I signed a bunch of forms allowing her to request records/references from him. A few weeks later when my medication was low, I called the clinic to ask if she had contacted my GP yet. They claimed they had no record of my appointment with Foy at all. I called my previous GP and he said she had never contacted them. I explained the problem and he said he would contact her himself. When it was time for a refill of my medication (a muscle relaxer that allows me to move my neck somewhat more normally, as opposed to not at all), Dr Foy informed me that while my GP had contacted her, she accused me of trying to undermine her authority (in those words) and that she would discuss the matter only if I scheduled and paid in advance for another appointment. I said I couldnt afford another $100 appointment, asked why my medicine could not be called in and was told that all of this was "classic abusive behavior". Yes, providing contact with a legitimate doctor regarding my consistent treatment for a chronic illness is apparently a "behavior". She mocked my inability to afford another appointment, further degrading me with "well, you sure can afford more pills, but cant afford an appointment, hm?" Even typing this, I am still in shock that this happened. I would never want another disabled person to experience this. Or anyone. this experience caused my conditions to worsen significantly. My appointment with Dr Foy was one of the single worst I have ever had. These people will take your money and do absolutely nothing. Dr. Foy should be ashamed of pretending to be a medical practitioner of any sort. DO NOT GO HERE, you might as well take your wallet and throw it in the trash. As another reviewer mentioned, it is likely some of the 5-star reviews are faked.

If you want quality service, I highly recommend any clinic other than this one. Billing is shady, receptionist seemed clueless about the billing process, waiting time is ridiculous for an empty clinic. I came in for a simple follow up from a Workers Comp issue back in the beginning of November. The visit should have been no more than 15 minutes after the new patient paperwork was filled out. I filled everything out, provided the front desk with all of my Workers Comp paperwork, but the receptionist insisted I give her my primary insurance. I told her, no, this is a Workers Comp claim, there is no need to have my personal insurance info, but she said I could not be seen unless she took it. Her worry was that the claim was not valid, which is fair enough, but I still didnt want to go through the headache of having to reverse the claim from my insurance. Begrudgingly, I handed her my primary insurance card. Sure enough... I am still dealing with their mistake 3 months later. Despite clearly stating on my intake paperwork that it was to be billed to Workers Comp, filling out the additional paperwork for a Workers Comp claim AND her taking my Workers Comp letter and info, they still billed my primary insurance. Thankfully, I was able to get one of the claims reversed by talking to my insurance and my claims adjuster for Workers Comp, but that was over the course of 2 months, and I still have another claim for the lab services that has not been reversed. The frustration is annoying enough, but the fact that they violated HIPAA by sending the claim to my insurance is just downright illegal. Reading other reviews, it seems this isnt the first time either. Also, after reviewing my explanation of benefits from the two claims, it looks like this clinic tacks on as much as they can to bill your insurance. I was billed for a "new patient" CPT code twice, despite just coming in for a simple blood draw. Im sure if I sneezed while I was there, they would have found a CPT code for "evaluation of sneeze - $40" and billed my insurance for it. To put salt in the wound, at my visit I sat in an empty waiting room for an hour before I was seen. It wasnt until a nurse came out and saw that I was sitting there that they finally remembered me. The nurse had the audacity to say, "You should have waved your hands and told the front desk you were still waiting to be seen." Yes, it was my fault the receptionist forgot about me as I sat alone in the waiting area. TL;DR Workers Comp claim? New patient? Go to any clinic but this one and save yourself the headache.

Please stay away from this place. I am a very patient person and always give people the benefit of the doutb, but I cannot stand this place for the following reasons: Ive been dealing with a head numbness for a few years. It wasnt debilitating so I didnt do anything about it. One day my girlfriend said I should check it out to be safe and so I went to the doctor. He gave me a dianosis by googling cranial nerve damage pictures and read a wikipedia article. He then prescribed some medication and said "try it out if it doesnt work I can refer you to get a CT scan." That was visist #1. Visit #2 that I had was to come back and tell him the medicine didnt work. So he referred me to get a CT scan. I had to go to EPIC imaging to get a CT scan. A receptionist at Clumbia Medical Clinic called me after to tell me I needed to come in to talk about the results, even thought she mentioned the CT scan was normal. I told her I didnt want to to come in because that would mean paying them money for nothing, since the results are normal. She said "I know you dont want to come in due to insurance issues, but we need to schedule an appointment with the doctor to talk about the results." So I came in, and all the doctor said was "the results are normal, Ill refer you to the neurologist." At this point I decided that I dont like this place, and so I called their office to ask what was my balance so I can pay them and get done with it. The receptionist put me on hold while she checked my account. However, when she put me on hold she somehow hit the transfer button and it dialed up the doctor. He picked up and said "Who is this?" I replied, "Errr... is this Columbia medical clinic?" Doctor said, "This is my personal number, I dont know how you got this number." I said, "I called the office and somehow they transferred me here." Doctor said, "No, that is impossible. I dont believe they transferred you here." At this point I wanted to say "So youre calling me a liar?" But I did not because I felt and arguement with this idiot was pointless. So I just said fine Ill call back the office.
