My experience is an ongoing nightmare. Dr Tesch and Dr Carey are only concerned with taking my money, with no regard for my wellbeing. Two appointments for my gout and I still do not have a prescription for the gout medicine called cochicine. Dr Tesch gave me a prescription for just ten pills in July 2017, when I am supposed to take up six per day. When that of course did almost nothing for my gout, I was forced to pay for another Dr appointment, so I saw Dr Carey in August 2017. He only gave me a prescription for 20 pills, and now I cannot get any more apparently. I can`t walk, I cannot work, and I am in constant agony, and these crooks won`t even call me back. I have had gout for eight years so I know the treatment protocol very well. PS: this medicine cannot be abused since it does only two things, it makes a person sick with stomach and bowel discomfort, and it helps the gout. I am going to contact a lawyer and sue them for obvious negligence and malpractice, and pain and suffering, and lost wages. I am also going to report them for insurance fraud, for making me see the doctor unnecessarily, then not even helping me when I do. How can a doctor tell me to take six pills per day, then taper off to two per day gradually, then continue that for two weeks, then prescribe me ten pills? Do not use this clinic or these doctors, they are incompetent, greedy and dishonest. Unless you like having your money stolen while you suffer in agony for a treatable condition.

I generally have had positive experiences at EFM. However during my last visit to the walk-in clinic, I had a horrible experience with Dr Bishop. I came in with flu-like symptoms and tonsil issues, unable to regulate my body temp or sleep. The first thing he said to me was "My thats a big smile for someone who feels so crummy". Condescending and patronizing. His mind was already made up. The appt resulted in him telling me "it will clear up on its own, take some ibuprofen". Here I am 10 days later, sweats and chills every single night, coughing up bronchial casts and symptoms not improving. Not only did he not take my concerns seriously, he treated me like a child and a waste of his time. Thanks for charging me for a HORRIBLE and damaging experience. My entire holiday vacation was spent bedridden and now Im returning to work feeling like absolute crap. DO NOT SEE DR BISHOP. UPDATE: The day after I wrote this review I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I have now been sick for almost 7 weeks, and it could have been treated much earlier. He charged me $140. I have been seeing Dr. Mangum ever since, and she has been wonderful.

Clinic philosophy is $$$! BEWARE of the clinics questionable business philosophy and practices! Clinic director and/or physician partner(s) are MOTIVATED by PROFITS! My daughter needed a medication (staff MD-prescribed) REFILL, but clinic protocol dictates a visit with a staff MD. A REVENUE-GENERATING SCHEME! On the appointment day, female MD (same one three months prior) FAILED to show recognition, asked which MD saw her last, inquired if any adverse reaction with the medication (not necessary to call since uneventful), and provided medication refill authorization. NO EVALUATION/EXAMINATION was performed! Two weeks later, bill (NOT covered by insurance) received. When front office was asked regarding the bill, the response received was "you were seen by a doctor". The face-to-face visit with the MD was unnecessary. The visits events could have been accomplished by phone WITHOUT deviating from the "Standard of Care"! The clinicians diagnostic skills/abilities are not in question, but the "nickel and dime" philosophy practiced at this clinic is. BEST to AVOID!

I had to stand at the front desk so their whole waiting room could hear me say, I have no insurance and no job. not something I am proud of as I have worked hard my whole life and always had insurance. I told them I needed a prescription refill. They refused to see me, and worst of all did not even bother to ask my situation. What if I needed heart medication? what If I was standing their with a bleeding wound? I find this lack of compasion appalling. The staff was very aloof, and down right nasty. If you want to be seen by a doctor who really cares about you as a paient, then do not be seen here. However, if you want to be seen by a bunch of greedy staff and doctors who have dollar signs in their eyes and only care about the almighty buck, then this is the place for you! The doctors need to reread the oath they took to help mankind. and they need to teach their staff how to effectively triage patients.I find the current practices irresponsible, and dangerous.

Archaic practices. Been going here for about 15 years but recently had a terrible experience with a doctor, Dr. Carrie, who came off like he was just going through the motions. Also I mentioned when making the appointment I had 2 issues but the doctor was unaware therefore they had to schedule a followup despite being well within the 30 minute window. Of course most of that time was eaten up waiting. And of course they failed to mention the extra cost otherwise I would have refused. So in the end, Im down an extra 118 on top of the almost 200 first appointment bill and gained no insight to my conditions. The kicker is they have NO online billing resources / paying services. Come on, it is 2016 last time I checked. My advice is to stay away, they charge too much (recommend Swedish or Evergreen which are both cheaper after United adjusted rates and more professional overall) and have a much higher quality standard throughout the process.

I dont have health insurance and I called to see how much it would cost for a simple office visit. I just want a prescription for zyban to help me quit smoking. I have taken it before, theres no real medical issues. In fact, I already have a prescription in Canada, but they wont fill it here, hence the need for a quick office visit. I have been to this place before. The care is ok, but like so many others, its obvious that theyre set up to bilk you for as much as they can. This for a simple office visit, simple issue. No test required. Im already a patient, and they still want $160 for some nurse practitioner to see me for five minutes and so I can get a prescription for something which should probably be over the counter anyway. You used to have to get a prescription just for nicotine patches..... Dont do business with these people if you can avoid it, they obviously dont give a crap about helping people.

I called to schedule an appointment for as soon as possible. I have been in 2 hospitals in a 24 hour period. I have not been to this Doctor office since I was 18 years old. IM 37!!!! But I apparently have a bill from back then I need to pay before theyll even schedule to see me for life threatening medical issues. This place is a joke, had they actually ever bothered to send it to collections like they claimed it would have been paid off several years ago. I highly recommend actually reporting them to the BBB and most definitely finding doctors that gives a damn about your health not your wallet. Absolutely ludicrous that they hold an almost 20 year old bill over your head!
