My experience at this office left me in tears! Uncaring and UNWILLING to do due diligence to help diagnose patients. They were extremely belting and completely rude! After years of working with a Naturopath I opted to give traditional medical treatment a go. I suffered from chronic back pain, depilating muscle spasms, sciatica, sever RLS and insomnia. I went to this appointment to try to get my RLS and insomnia under control and find a reason for my chronic back pain. The doctor refused any tests on my back. Informed me the only medication that would help my RLS was not covered by my insurance and that my chronic back pain and insomnia were behavioral health issues. DR. Michael Fite informed me that I just felt pain more than most and would have to learn to live with it. Also stated that because of my medical marijuana usage (low THC High CBD) he would not do anything to treat or lesson my pain. I was sent to physical therapy for the RLS and leg pain (never indicated leg pain) and that was that. Since this disastrous appointment I have been seen by an amazing doctor who actually took imaging and found that I have sever L4-L5 disk degeneration, bone spurs and a fused L5-S!. I was prescribed arthritis medication for my back making me able to walk and stand with much less pain and medication for both insomnia and RLS and I have now begun sleeping again. I highly recommend avoiding this "health Center" at all costs!!!

My wife went here for help with chronic pain due to degenerative disk disease from multiple back injuries, as well as Fibromyalgia, and Restless Leg Syndrome. The doctor she saw said he would not prescribe any pain medications since she has used marijuana and referred her to physical therapy for her RLS, and behavioral health for chronic pain. To my knowledge no amount of counseling is a substitute for pain relieving medication, and RLS is not treated by physical therapy. After meeting with the behaviorist (and giving that therapist advice on treating their other patients) and the Physical Therapist (who didnt understand why there was a referral for RLS) my wife was ready to give up on this clinic. She called in to cancel the next appointment and was told the doctor was no longer there so she decided to stay and try a different doctor. The next appointment, after a very gruff and rough nurse, she was seen by a Nurse Practitioner who informed us that the previous Doctor was now the head of the department. Uncaring and untruthful staff, managed by a doctor who thinks counseling and physical therapy can control chronic back pain.

I love this clinic! I find every staff member caring and sweet and the doctors really know what they are doing! I see Dr. Gufantey (this is totally misspelled) and he has helped me in a very short time fix an entire list of problems I have had going on for awhile. I lived him do much I have decided to take my 4 month old daughter to him instead of a pediatrician. If you are looking for a doctor who you can play for pain killers and other narcotics, then you will not like this place. I once was an addict and know when a doctor is a push over or if they are legit and this entire clinic is very legit! They dont have to be corrupt to financially do well cause they are carrying and know medicine well! Highly recommended!

I have had nothing but good experiences at this office. I travel across town to receive their services. There was a time that my son had a rash the front desk said that there were no appointments available, I asked her to send the doctor a message within 15 min I got a call back saying that they wouls fit ,y son into the schedule to bring him i. VERY satisfied with the services I am receiving. As far as the comments about the pain meds, they make it very clear when you first come to the office that for your first visit they will not prescribe them as well as you have to be seen by your doctor. I think this is a great idea especially for recovering addicts.

I am so happy that my husband and I found this clinic. Its true, they wont prescribe pain meds on your first visit, but any responsible doctor shouldnt. I have never received anything but respect and compassion from Dr. Gilman-Short, Megan, the N.P., and their support staff. They are quick to respond and even go out on a limb to help us with any needs we may have.

My son and I have the most amazing and caring doctor at Neighborhood Health Center. All of the staff has been extremely kind and caring to us. I cannot say enough about this place. Dr. Sarah Gilman-Short is the perfect example of how a doctor should be - patient, to the point, caring, knowledgeable, and kind.
