This facility is located at a beautiful wide open piece of land in newberg, OR and it has what they call their 12 step track where you can walk or jog around its about a mile long track thats of course circular like in most cases. The staff seems tolerable except for a few counslers that might need to re-inform themselves that this is a recovery rehab center not a place to put people at a more depressed mode then they came in. My girlfriend is now their for her 2nd time admitted for reasons that are confidential too us. Generally it seems they have more "clients, residents, patients or whatever you would call them" that are majority over the age of 30. They tried telling my girlfriend a week before graduating last time that they feel she needs to fly out too there facility in minessota cuz there are more girls at her age group which is between the ages of 18-27. When thats highly uneccesary simply cuz she had only a week remaining until graduating. She was pressured and she felt attacked by multiple people telling her this is an only option at first but we stressed the fact she doesnt need to and she remained there completing her treatment. They allow them to use a computer with access to Facebook and any other social media sites which I feel shouldnt be an option since they are at risk for possibly messaging someone too come get them or bring them some narcotics/alcohol who I mean are the people that are enablers and the ones who are suppose to be cut out from there lives in fear of them using or relapsing at the facility. That could also affect a lot more other people there with motives for not staying sober causing a dilemma possibly throughout the whole facility. Visitations for females are Saturday and males as I understand are the next day on Sunday. Giving you between 1-5pm allowing about 4 hours with your loved one and that I do like about this specific rehab recovery center. They only other thing I would add is they probably need better staff in charge of keeping an eye on the patients. Seems people could easily leave in the night and come back before someone would notice. Their requirements for graduation seem sometimes over the top when they should be more concerened more about the required discharge plan then the simple homework assignments due. I feel they need to be absolutely ready for what to do next and not running around there home towns like chickens with their heads cut off unsure of the steps necessary too take after. I hope this was a informative review of this facility to all those reading this and I do credit the staff to mainly doing their jobs even if at minimal effort cause an progress is good progress for addicts.

I went into Hazelden Betty Ford treatment center on 1/30/2017. At first I was scared out of my mind but after detoxing for 2 days I went into intensive in-patient. I have nothing to say but great comments about this program. I was released on March 1st 2017. I received my 30 day coin at the AA meeting prior to leaving. I have been home for almost a week and I am still going SOBER strong! The detox nurses and staff (John, Sabrina, Patty and Ed) are awesome! The CD techs - Jonathan and Jennifer are just as amazing. All the counselors are wonderful and attentive to your needs. If you are seeking treatment and want a place to recover from your addiction! CHOOSE this treatment center! They also set you up with follow up treatment options once you leave and you meet with a care coordinator prior to leaving to continue your care at a place closer to your home. I would recommend this treatment center to everyone struggling with addiction. REMEMBER this though....your recovery program is ONLY as good as you want it to be. Do the work! and youll be on your way to sobriety!

Hazelden claims to be the best in helping addicts, its not. Dont take your loved one. Unlike most rehabs hazelden allows cell phones, going out grocery shopping driving with groups to meetings in Portland where alcohol use and drugs are available. Yes they may drug test your loved one when they get back. Lets face it most addicts have the best intentions to say clean and sober when going through detox but when temptations arise its hard to not give in. Hazeldens program creates opportunity for relapse and Hazelden profits financially from a relapse. Longer stay more money out of your pocket. My husbands roommate was being prescribed the exact drug my husband had been abusing. Eventually my husband conned the roommate out of 12mg a day! This place will not help addicts. Tears familys apart. My husband was secretly meeting up and going to meetings with girls from the same rehab that they claim "keep sexes separate" BS.

I had heard wonderful things about springbrooke Hazelden. Although I am still in shock that after a nurse that was let go for sexual harassment, and one of the addiction techs was having a sexual relationship with one of the patients! My peers and I who were in at the same time we still have not heard an apology or if anything happened to other peers. Not once has anyone called to make sure it didnt happen to others. The nurse who was let go would say inappropriate things to me a lot. It seems Hazelden only cares about money which is sad. Hazelden needs to take sexual harassment 101. Only calls I have had from them is about money. Least they can do is contact me and other peers to apologize and find out how many others the nurse affected.

Best treatment center, by far. Like any program, what you get out of it is what you put in. Almost all the counselors are recovering addicts with a significant amount of sober time, so not only do you gain the tools to be sober but you also gain the perspective insight of someone who was once in your shoes. Yes, they eventually give you more freedoms, and yes, some people end up taking advantage of the opportunity to use-- but the point of it is to allow you to make the transition back into the real world. Im sorry, but if you think the only reason your loved one relapsed was because of the small freedoms Hazelden gave them, then Im not sure how you expected them to succeed once they left. I owe my sobriety to Hazelden.

This place is supposed to be the best of the best. It is a joke. Clearly all they care about is money. Staff is woefully incompetent and scheduled very sporadically. Family members are not contacted for any information and do not participate in treatment. Treatment staff give advice to clients and tell them what they should do resulting in decisions based on inaccurate information which ultimately damages the client and the entire family unit. If you have a loved on considering this facility DONT GO HERE! If I could choose zero stars I would but the lowest option is one star.

I was in treatment at Hazelden Springbrook in 2003, and it probably saved my life as well as my marriage. The program was excellent. I am still sober. I do not know how much things have changed since the merger with Betty Ford. I have made six calls today trying to reach someone at the Springbrook location. No matter what number I call, I get the same obnoxious woman with the snooty accent, and I have never been able to reach someone with a very simple request. My inclination is to think that the quality of service has deteriorated in recent years.
