The people at Endurance PDX bring powerful, thoughtful, and specific change into their clients lives. Like any great pt, they are the general, the client is the foot-soldier. i.e. You do most of the hard work, but they have the grand plan so you can both hopefully win. Ive had knee pain for the last 2yrs. I tried everything. Yoga, rest, stretching, other pts, acupuncture, etc... even had x-rays taken and an MRI, saw a specialist knee surgeon dude... I was getting desperate. They thought pt would solve the problem. Apparently, I just hadnt seen the right one! I love riding my bike. I race, too, but I was to the point where I wasn’t enjoying it anymore, and I really wanted to change that. At Endurance PDX, I got a couple bike-fits done. I think what sets their bike-fits apart from others I’ve had, is the bike fitter here is also a physical therapist. Not only do they have a deep knowledge of the human body, but they spent time with me to figure out where I have different weaknesses, injuries, tension, etc., and then tailored the fit to help me be stronger, faster, and injury free. While those things did happen, the best part, I was loving riding again. I can’t recommend them enough, however, I can only speak from my experience. My only advice would be this: give them (and yourself!) a chance.

One of the first times I visited Endurance PDX was for a standard bike fit. I didnt present with any injuries or specific concerns, but found it necessary to ensure I would stay injury-free and be in an optimal position on the bike to maximize efficiency, power, and comfort. The genuine care and concern, attention to detail, knowledge and expertise, and commitment to excellence that Annalisa demonstrated during that fit was well above and beyond my expectations. As a result, I have felt stronger and more comfortable on the bike - and Im happy to report that Ive remained free from nagging or repetitive stress injuries for the past two years. Dr. Fish has gained my utmost trust and confidence with many other aspects of my physical journey, including therapy when recovering from an impact injury, addressing muscular imbalances, or simply building more strength and power. She understands the human body and listens to your individual experiences without pushing any agenda of her own. She puts your unique abilities and goals at the center of your care plan. No matter the reason you may be looking at Endurance, I highly recommended giving this studio and Dr. Annalisa Fish an opportunity to WOW you like they have me!

Nothing has improved my riding in a more lasting, immediate way than the fit I received from Annalisa earlier this year. Ive been riding for ten years, including four years of racing, but had never received a professional fit. I thought I was dialed in on my bikes, but wow I was wrong! Annalisas background in physical therapy adds depth to her assessment that you cant find from most fitters. In addition to fixing my position on the bike, she found that I have a weak right hip and gluts that I am not firing while riding. She gave me exercises to help strengthen these areas so they dont impede me from reaching my riding potential. The results speak for themselves. I started racing again this spring and finished 4th and then 2nd in my first two events. I feel more power riding hills than I ever have in my life. My endurance is up and no terrain feels daunting anymore. The best part is that I have greater confidence in my ability to work hard without blowing up my legs. I highly recommend Annalisa to any cyclist of any level who wants to get more enjoyment out of their sport. Ride on!

After having a fair amount of pain only on my bike during races (cyclocross) I knew I needed a new fit. I reached out to Annalisa for a bike fit from a friends recommendation. I dont live in Portland (4.5 hours away), but it was important for me to have my fit done by a PT who understands cycling and hip injuries (FAI + labral tear), and who could accommodate my fit to my aching hips. I didnt know what I was getting into when I walked into the studio, but I was all ears and open to any suggestions and changes, which I think is important when getting a bike fit. Annalisa is knowledgable, pays attention to small details, and took the time to work with me for a quality fit. She does video analysis and shows you what she is looking for in a fit for YOU and YOUR body. Not only did she work on a proper fit, but pedaling efficiency and went over/prescribed exercises to help with my hip and glute strength. I highly highly highly recommend Annalisa for any bike fitting and PT needs. I know whenever I need a bike fit Ill be making the trek to Portland to see her again and again.

Very professional - supper nice facilities. Annalisa is a very intelligent and caring woman. Made some fairly simple adjustments to my bike and my riding posture. I noticed immediate improvement in my riding - lot less pressure on my hands, sitting up better and more comfortable - well worth the time and money. Also helped me greatly in working with me and the new clip-in shoes and peddles. made many adjustments, talked me through it and had me practice a lot. I should have done this before I went out of the bike shop and proceeded to fall over, not just once but three times. Giant bruise on left hip, left elbow and hand suffering some damage. I feel a lot more confident now. I should add that Im 74 years old and have been riding in the city for fifteen years but just started a few months on a road bike and started adding miles. (I did 74 for my birthday!)

Ive seen Annalisa for two bike fits (road and TT), physical therapy services, and am a repeat offender, ahem, attender of her "strength for cyclists" class. I find her approach to bike fit to be dynamic and perfectly detailed--my position on each machine is fantastic, both aggressive and comfortably sustainable. Her knowledge of fit-related equipment is extensive and the changes she made to my bike have changed my relationship with my bikes and with my body. I spent much of 2015 battling a recurring hip injury from too much riding and not enough cross training. I credit her attention and care with my ability to ride the way I want to again. Seeing her for physical therapy was an extremely positive experience and Im very grateful for her time and professionalism. Shes my go-to, should any issue arise in the future.

I saw Annalisa (owner) last Spring for a bike fit and for PT to treat an overuse injury. I was quite pleased with the professionalism and quality of the treatment I received. She took great care to go over every aspect of the bike fit (transferring from one bike to another) and I came away feeling great about my position. The overuse injury started to improve greatly once I was diligent about sticking to the PT exercises she game me. She also made some solid equipment change suggestions; switching my saddle to prevent recurring saddle sores, and increasing the sweep degree on my flat bars. I took both suggestions and have been very happy with the switch! I would highly recommend Annalisa at Endurance Cycling Studio!
