I had a procedure done at this office in February 2012. Though I presented a valid insurance card for my procedure, and the procedure would have been covered by BCBS, the staff failed to successfully submit the claim in a year. After a full year had passed, it was rejected in the 13th month by my insurance because it was not submitted in a timely manner. So now they are billing me for the full amount, will not provide me with any proof they claim to have that they even tried to submit to the insurance, and will not assist me in filing an appeal. Further, the office staff has become rude with me, and the doctor wont return my call. I dont know where this process broke down. I had valid insurance. It was a covered procedure. I gave them all of the information I had. They wont take responsibility for this and wont address it with the insurance themselves. They have absolutely no scruples about pursuing this with me even though they didnt get paid because they did nothing for a full year to submit a claim.

Dr. Funari was arrogant and is not someone I would recommend for wisdom teeth removal (or any oral surgery). Though he says he didnt cause it, I developed problems with my temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and am now having to get TMJ arthroscopy after trying a nightguard, physical therapy, trigger point injections, and botox. Go to an oral surgeon that is both an M.D. and a D.M.D. for better care. There are many better oral surgeons on the main line.

Dr. Funari has an amazing amount of experience and really knows his stuff. If you want to feel safe and secure that youre getting the procedure done properly this is the place to go.

Office staff is miserable, every time. Funari has his credentials posted everywhere and has a slightly inflated ego.
