My husband and I were 2 days shy of leaving for vacation when our septic service guy came to pump out the tank. As he was backing up our driveway his truck took out a large branch of our beautiful, full grown weeping cherry tree. Oh no! We were pressed for time. I did not want to go away with this large limb hanging in my front yard. We were worried about the damage to the tree and what kind of "wound care" it may need, and concerned that it may eventually effect the health of the best part of the front of our home. The septic company took full responsibility for all damages told us to contact our tree guy and they would cover the cost. We did not have a "tree guy". WE DO NOW! I went to the tried and true Yellow Pages and found The Tree Doctors. I liked the look of their ad and especially liked the fact that Michael Martorana is an arborist. I needed someone who knew the horticultural aspect of landscaping, expert advice regarding the health of my tree. My husband is capable of hacking a branch with a chainsaw. When we called and talked to Mike he was willing to come to our house that day. Due to work our schedule, he came first thing the very next morning. He gave us a free proposal. That afternoon his very capable, very nice, guys came by, chopped and sealed the limb and all was complete. What a load was lifted from my shoulders. I have dealt with landscapers, contractors, repair companies, etc. many times in my life. Usually everything is done on their terms. You sit and wait. There is a 6 hour time span of when they might arrive. You get the feeling that you may be being taken advantage of, because inevitably more work than was originally proposed needs to be done. Dealing with the Tree Doctors was NOT like that at all. It was a pleasurable, fairly priced experience with professional, respectful, knowledgable, people. If you are looking for your own "tree guy"--call them!

12/2013 I just had a 9 foot circumference white ash leaning over the house removed by the tree doctors. A crane was required so as not to damage precious mature specimen trees, shrubs, and perennials in my garden, not to mention the house. This required navigating around a single car driveway and numerous overhead wires. The job went off without a hitch and exactly as Mike described on the 2 planning site visits. It took less than a day to remove this over 100’ tall tree and another very large branch from another tree. This company is knowledgeable as well as having high tech communication tools for ground to tree coordination, something I have never seen in the tree business. The job site was completely clean when they left with no damage to any nearby plantings. The workers were polite and friendly and definitely knew what they were doing. Watching the tree man was like watching an aerial ballet. I have hired many a tree person in my day; most were not concerned with the surrounding property and tried to drop a tree wherever convenient usually resulting in some damage. Mike loves trees and will try to preserve when appropriate. I would definitely recommend The Tree doctor for any landscape needs. Barbara, Penn State Master Gardener

What a pleasant experience doing business with this company. First, I called for an appointment to get a quote to take down some limbs. Two days later the owner of the company arrived, surveyed the situation and wrote up a detailed proposal. Within a week of the written proposal, a crew (team) of three arrived. I say team because it was obvious that these three had a system that worked flawlessly. Within 3 hours my job was complete and the only evidence that they were ever there was the tree, minus the menacing limbs hovering over my garage. I will not hesitate to recommend Tree Doctors to anyone.

Excellent experience. Workers knocked on the door to introduce themselves and to give us a heads up that they were going to begin work and knocked again when they were finished. They were friendly and gentlemanly. Their work quality was outstanding, and did everything they said they would do and thoroughly cleaned up afterward. Highly recommend!

The Tree Doctors came to my house 2 weeks ago to remove a locust tree. It was positioned precariously between my shed and power lines. 2 other companies would not even estimate it and another proposed an astronomical price. The Tree Doctors took it down cleanly, quickly and affordably. Workers not whiners. Nice work!! Dave W.

If you want your trees to look like crap, then Tree Doctors is your place. Call Adrian today, and say "Never send Jeremiah to work on my trees again!" There, you have been warned. Sorry Mike, but you really failed me.
