Not sure if the previous reviewer was just bitter because they got released. I have been a patient for 8 years. Dr. Whittakers staff is very professional and polite. The only reason I know of Doc releasing a patient is because the patient failed to show for appointments. Doc does NOT give out pain meds just to anyone. I have chronic sciatica. If anyone has had that knows it is very painful. I have passed kidney stones and would rather pass a stone than have a severe episode of sciatica! Doc will only issue pain meds after he has seen me and does a complete exam. As far as the wait time, the reviewer was correct that I have had to wait as long as 2 ½ hours. But on the other hand when I am in the room with Dr. Whittaker I do not feel he is rushed or in a hurry. He spends QUALITY time with each patient. I also agree with the reviewer that the office did run better before his wife took over as office manager thus the reason for only rating him Very Good not Excellent. If I were to rate him as a doctor alone he would be Excellent, but you need to take his staff in consideration as well.

I absolutely Love Dr. Whittaker. I travel the 35 minute drive because I do not want to change doctors. He is not my doctor, but my childrens doctor. I have been taking my oldest son for about 9 years and he has been my youngest sons doctor since birth 8 years ago. They absolutely love coming to see Dr. Whittaker. At times, the wait can be long but that is because he takes his time with each patient and listens to whatever concerns you may have as well as follows up on them. I have had no problem with his staff and he makes his hours convenient so the kids do not have to miss school. His staff has also worked with me on billing! I sincerely recommend this Doctor to anyone in need of a good one. Just be mindful that he treats every patient as an important one so have some patience when coming to the office. And he overlooks my little attitude I sometimes get because of the wait. lol GREAT DOCTOR AND OFFICE!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Whittakers for about 10 years. He is a wonderful doctor who really cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen to his patients and examine them thoroughly. His staff has always been kind to me. I have never had any problems with anyone there. Yes, there is a wait there to be seen, but it is worth it to be seen by a doctor that I trust. The wait is because he takes his time with his patients to make sure they get the care they deserve. I recommend him to everyone!! And to add, no, he doesnt just hand out pain meds to everyone. He only prescribes them to those to really need them for real medical conditions.

Very bad experience. We stopped going and our neighbors had trouble I would not recommend this Doctor. not because of him. Its his hateful arrogant manipulative dramatic wife (That does not tell the truth) She runs the office out front. Your not going past her to get to Hubby if she doesnt want you to. & will not check anything with him. She just does what she wants with your Medical Health. Ya really want that? The nurses would and office help continually complained about her to the patents! . Just a very bad experience You should really stay away & avoid the bad experience. But its up to you.

Released as a patient for no reason! After 8 years of being his patient. His entire staff is very rude and is allowed to treat people horribly. He is not taking new patients because his name is very well known for giving out pain medications to his patients. I stuck with this dr. and endured being treated very rudely by his staff and waiting an average of over 3 hours to be seen and the thanks I get is being released by him for made up reasons and as revenge for me calling his office manager to make complaints. Unfortunately his wife is the manager so the valid complaints were ignored.

He understands what he practices....unlike tlc...the dont understand just how bad degenerative disc disease is....he did....and Im sorry for being released....never find another doctor like him
