When Dr Hank was here this place was awesome for the children. He took his time and explained everything to them. All 4 of my children and I was going there. Neither of us had had a bad experience up until now. To my surprise we made an appointment follow up for cavities thinking it was with Dr. Hank. Only to get there and find out he is no longer employeed with them. Now there is another Dr. This was my daughter first time getting a cavaity filled. OMG!!! The horror began. The new Dr all while being nice to me does not have the connection with children as Dr Hank did. She did not explain herself to my daughter ( a 5yr old). After I got her to sit still for the numbing process thats where it ended. The new Dr drilled into my daughter tooth and she screamed her head off. After drilling twice on two different times and stopping each time in the first tooth, my daughter would not let her touch her again. Now the Dr throws up her hands and say she can not work like this. Sends her to a referral doctors. This was in Jan. and that referral DR can not see her unil the end of March for a tooth that has been DRILLED in. REALLY!!!! So we leave with my dauhters tooth not finish and with a bigger hole than when we arrived. I find another Dentistry that will see her only after they get the exam, xrays, etc sent over. I went back the same day and filled out the release papers and we are still waiting. This shows a lack of concern for their patients and their well-being. I was a loyal patient who dealt with all the wait drama because of the care and concern shown by Dr Hank. However, since he is no longer there neither will we be. I am currently searching for a new family dentistry for my family.

May 6th my husband who has a history of high blood pressure and uncontrollable type 2 diabetes had a severe toothache so I found this dentist office on google and drove him an hour to get him there, mind you it was a Saturday and in my husbands case an emergency that could not wait to see his regular dentist on Monday. The staff up front was nice and friendly but the rest of our experience was not pleasant at all. My husband waited over an hour just to be seen in the back. After asking was he gonna be seen or not the dentist finally came in and numbed him up, said hed be back in a couple minutes needless to say the novacaine was wearing off by the time the dentist came back, proceeded to extract the tooth not caring my husband was in pain so much that his blood pressure shot up dangerously high 187/112 to be exact and refused to give him any pain medicine. More than 24 hours later hes still in pain, the extraction site looks horrible and his blood pressure and sugar levels are still too high even after taking his daily meds. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS FAMILY DENTIST TO ANYONE NOT EVEN AN ANIMAL!!!!! D.Westmoreland

Let me just say this place is awful! Took my 7 year old for what I thought was a new patient exam, x-rays, and cleaning. Waited forever in the lobby; approximately 30 minutes past appointment time (we arrived 20 minutes early to fill out the paperwork) and the place was practically empty. The assistant did the x-rays and the dentist came in and didnt even touch my childs mouth and just looked at the x-rays. The cleaning was really just a polish. The only person that looked in my childs mouth was the assistant when polishing her teeth, which is really not doing anything. Another person came in to do a sales pitch of a million things that should be done. I do not trust any of it and have to take her to another dentist. Now I would like to get the x-rays for a real dentist to do the exam and they cannot give me the x-rays without me coming in to the office to fill out a paper and it going through corporate and taking who knows how long to be sent. I should have just thrown my money in the garbage. AVOID this place!!

Terrible experience. Sent from work by supervisor after seeing left side of face swollen. Missed day of work, paid cash for visit, explained limited means. 2 minute visit and prescribes 100 dollar antibotic and motrin. Told pain would be over on a few days. Tried to explain finacial situation and severity of pain. Insisted correct meds. Went to walmart, publix, and rite-aide. After wasting gas came back pleaded with assistant because doctor would not see me. Giving 500 mg amoxicillin and no pain medication and sent away. With the whole side of my face swollen and my gums bleeding, I have never felt so sterotyped an unimportant to someone in a branch of medical care. Now I sit waiting ($-325) on amoxicillin and debating whether sleep and relief are worth the trip to the ER. I plan to post my experience and bring awareness to the community. Worst experience ever. If you are going to spend your hard earned money, go somewhere you can get the care you need.

Arrived this morning for a 9:00 appointment, walked to the door at 8:55 and it was locked! Two employees walked up and could not get into the building and one asked the other if she had a key. They both proceeding to return to their cars. There was a gentleman standing there with my son and I and neither of the employees acknowledged us or tried to offer an explanation or apology. The gentleman returned to his car as well as my son and I. We waited a few more minutes before leaving. When we left, there were about 10 cars with people waiting who obviously also had appointments. We left and went down to Kool Smiles where we were able to get in for an appointment the same morning. Front end staff was much more friendly than those at Family Dental and were also professional.

I called on a Saturday morning because of ongoing tooth pain. Due to work schedules there arent that many dentists open on Saturdays that dont jack up the prices. They had me in there by noon. It wasnt overcrowded then and the two receptionists there on a Saturday were great. I go back into the room and am awfully scared of needles and would frankly rather have things done without novocaine. The dentist soothed my fears and did what he had to do quickly and honestly, effortlessly. He sent me on my way with an antibiotic and othr necessary pain management Rxs, instructions and I was on my way within an hour. We will be going back here for our regular dentist appointments because we dont have dental insurance at all and it was very affordable to us.

Yes, the wait was long, but I can see why. The dentist took his time to let each patient know what exactly was going on, reassured us in what he was doing, and he did an AMAZING job. I had my tooth taken out WITH an infected nerve. But he did his best and made sure I was as painless as I could be. Amazing instructions on how to handle it afterward and the experience was just overall positive. The people who work there are kind and made it such a pleasure. And I have heard from a couple of other people who talked about having a tooth extracted, and they all talk about THE PAIN. But honestly, he worked so hard to make sure I didnt hurt, I barely felt a thing. It was an amazing experience. The wait was definitely worth it.
