This doctor might be great, if you can get into see him. The staff was the rudest I have ever experienced, this after I waited over 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment. I was then told, after I paid the copay and went to a room, that my previous records were required before I could establish any prescriptions with this doctor as a new primary care physician. When I asked why this wasnt explained when making my first appointment on the phone, the response was simply "were sorry, we usually explain that." This may be standard in Tennessee, but it is not in Maryland or Virginia. I requested a refund and will not return. It wasnt the long wait, it was the carelessness and rudeness the office staff had toward not only me, but other patients trying to check in, too. The reviews gave me the hope of finding a good primary, but a great doctor--or any service provider--is nothing without the support of a courteous and caring staff. This is unfortunately not the case with this office.

Dr. Sam is a great preceptor. He truly makes AFD feel like home. He cares for his patients , he remembers their children, he remembers where they work, and he is extremely personable. This is what makes him a great provider. AFD is a growing clinic in Brentwood, and as a student, he welcomed me with open arms. I have been a patient for almost 8 years, I love coming here and seeing Dr. Sam! This is the most organized and clean office I have ever been to. Friendly staff, thorough exams and they even have an in-house pharmacy so I dont have to go to the pharmacy when Im sick. Love the convenience of being able to schedule appointments on-line and communicate with the office through their patient portal.
