Dr johnson did fine and was professional. The reason I gave him two stars was for his staff. I had two cavities that needed to be filled. I asked beforehand what my out of pocket cost would be and was told that it was $75. I then went back with Dr Johnson to complete the dental work ( no complaints there) when I got out and went to settle up with his office they informed me that it was $156 because my insurance didnt cover some new examination fee. I found this understandable and paid it without much question, then they asked me if I would like a copy and I replied "is everything square?" They replied "youre good to go" so, I declined a copy. About two weeks later I received an additional bill for $192. Which is close to five times the original out of pocket amount. After calling three times I finally received the answer that my insurance only covered up to a certain allowance and that I would be responsible for the remainder. I would find this understandable if this was brought to my attention when I asked about it. The lady I spoke with also told me that it would take up to two to three weeks to figure what my insurance allowed for the fillings which I feel is questionable seeing as how I have a bill sitting in my lap about two weeks later. I feel as if this could have been avoided by a simple call to my insurance or by using the access they have to see what plan I have. When I asked the lady about it she simply said you signed a piece of paper stating you are responsible for the difference. Basically giving them the right to tell you what you want to hear and then bill you whatever they want to later. Hopefully this review is helpful or possibly I am ignorant to how the dental system works.

My family has been using Dr. Johnson since 2000. My brother drives from Donelson to see him. He and his staff are always kind, polite and do a great job!
