This is the most heartless doctor I have ever seen. He performed surgery on my daughter Nov of 2016 for Workmans Compensation case. Dr. Petty sent her back to work in two (2) weeks still in PAIN on pain medication with the huge ice machine for compressions. He refused to give her more time off to heal even after telling him how much pain she was in. Upon returning to work, and within 2 weeks of being released a co-worker jerked her injured arm and tore it again in January of 2016. Dr. Petty ignored her constant complaints of pain from January 2016 to July 2017, even when a second MRI indicated another tear. Finally, after appeals the second surgery was performed July 2017 and he commented that her arm seemed like a grenade had exploded inside. Again, he sent her back to work within 3 weeks. She is in excruciating pain and he refused to allow more healing time. Wonder would he do all his patients this way or is it only Workman Compensation patients?

Dr Petty and his staff are superb. My wife and I have both been treated by him and both operations were extremely successful. His PA, Erik, spent a lot of time with me understanding the issue before we decided on a course of treatment. Dr Petty listened to me for only a minute or so before honing in on the affected area immediately, but he spent the time to discuss his opinions with me and answered all of my questions. I felt that I was well informed and I was actively engaged in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Dr. Petty is without a doubt the best orthopaedic doctor in Nashville. He has taken care of my family for several years now. He is incredibly knowledgeable in the clinic and is unmatched in the operating room. I cant imagine my family seeing anyone else.
