Know Your Heart

I visited Berry Hill Animal Hospital dor the first time w/my friend & her cat, that we both love & adore. The vet was very accomodating getting us in. Everyone was extremely friendly. It s small & needs a little bit of updating But the people are fantastic! The vet and vet tech knew animals very well and you can tell they sincerely love them & love taking care of them. They are not just doing it for the money. They were very personable, very knowledgeable. They explained everything that was going on in terms we understood. They took their time with us and our pet, never once making us feel rushed. Then the pricing was quite reasonable for what they did. Im now considering changing vets from one I have had for 10yrs to Berry Hill even though its a little further for me from Brentwood. I was quite impressed with all the employees there from the vet herself, to the vet tech, to even the clerical/receptionist when we were checking in & out.

After being told that I should put my 16 year old cat down and that I could maybe do test but it was not worth it because she was dying anyway .. (by a very cold vet) .. I turned around and took her home with me.. A few people told me to get a second opinion with a more "caring" vet so I took her to Berryhill animal hospital and can I just say ..they were very sweet and caring, yes indeed theres stuff wrong with her organs, (she is older) however after 3 days of not eating or drinking... they were sweethearts to her and offered a few options to make her feel better Guess what ?? she is eating and drinking and walking!!! I dont know what this means but I am grateful for every single day I have with her, I have to take her back for more liquids today... They said as long as she is eating and drinking it means she is having quality of life even if it is for a bit.. I LOVE THEM

We just got our first puppy and he had some issues during his first month. Berry Animal Hospital and the vets there walked us through what we should do, how he should be fed, how he should be cared for and how to avoid these things in the future. Seriously, I have never owned my own dog before so I was a complete idiot to some things and very frustrated that he had not been cared for properly before he came home with us. I explained this to the vet and thought, "Great, here comes a hefty bill." NOPE! They even gave us free samples of some medications! Our bill was lower than I thought and when I called around for neutering services they seemed to the same and often times WAY lower than other places. The waiting room is small but who cares! Quality and caring vet service at a VERY reasonable price!

I originally started going to Berry Hill because it was close to home. And Dr. Gansberger who has no personal skills, treated my puppy like a PRINCESS! Dr. Brown was incredible as well! Our first encounter 2 years later with Williams sent us to a new vet. She busted in the room saying she wasnt going to sedate my dog to trim her nails, despite this being the practice we were used to with the other vets there. She did not introduce herself. She held my dog down and continued clipping her nails despite my asking her to stop because my dog was crying out so horribly. Finally my dog bit her. Which I felt was much deserved. ;) New vet in Belle Meade. No chance of running into a rude Williams!

Would not authorize a prescription for use at an online pharmacy. Dr. Williams was extremely rude when I asked her to fax the prescription. She told me I had to pick up a written prescription, because it was their policy not to deal with online pharmacies. Then they wouldnt authorize the prescription when pharmacy called to verify. I had to mail the prescription to the pharmacy. My policy is not to give them any more business. Charged low fees first time I boarded an animal there, and then raised rates according to the dogs increased weight without telling me on the second visit. The dog came home neurotic and smelling of urine. I wont return.

as a new kitten owner, i was quite naive about vet costs & care. my kitten developed ringworm everywhere within a week of picking her up from the shelter. between ineffective ointment + baths as treatment (vs a pill) and a corneal abrasion (as a result of a bath they gave) which was misdiagnosed (by 2 of the 3 vets i saw there) and resulted in application of a drug that made it worse (as i was told with the 3rd vet i saw in the practice in as many weeks), the costs quickly added up. at that point i switched vets, and despite a longer drive, i couldnt be happier.

When I moved to town, I was more worried about healthcare for my dog than for myself. I picked BHAH for convenience and have been delighted with the care weve received. Their staff is excellent, the doctors are thorough and friendly. Their boarding prices are reasonable and I never worry about my dog for a minute when I have to leave her there. I have recommended this practice to all my friends with pets - you will not be disappointed.

Anybody who has a problem with Dr. Williams probably has a personality problem of their own. She has been my cats vet his whole life. I will never go to any other vet. They know me and my cat by name. They offer good, friendly service and their services are (in my opinion) priced way lower than they could be. Im always surprised at how little the bill is versus what I expect it would be.

Ive known, and used themfor years. Id recommend these fine doctors to anyone! They love all the fur babies so much!!! If your pet has an issue they cant help, they can direct you to who can.
