Disclaimer: this review isnt so much of a bad experience, but more of a lesson that needed to be learned. I have been going to Chapel Hill Veterinary Services for years and Ive never had any problems with it until now. Two weeks ago, I took my goats to get disbudded (one of which was a part of our first set of triplets on our farm). All was well until a week later one of the triplets, as I mentioned before, started having stiff legs, no appetite, and a choked sound. So naturally, I called the vet office and was surprised that they told me that Dr. Harris got a page and should be able to call me back. He never did and the goat got worse and worse. You wouldve thought that if I was such a "loyal clientele" that I would get at least a phone call back. The next day, we took the goat to another veterinarian slightly farther away. The vet told us that our goat had tetanus. By then, the poor kid was laying on its side with his legs stretched out. The goat was like this because the vet in Chapel Hill only gave a CDT shot, which takes affect in 10 days of the disbudding, leaving them vunerable for tetanus. The new vet said he learned his lesson years ago and now gives actual tetanus shots that take immediate affect after disbuddings, neutering, and other procedures like that. So now, after a week of antibiotics, muscle relaxers, syringe feedings, IVs, and multiple phone calls from the new vet, the outcome was still grim. Two weeks ago I had a perfectly happy and healthy goat, and now my goat is dead. The new vet said he couldve done more when the goat was still standing, but like I said, Dr. Harris never called me back. I hope that people will learn from this terrible outcome.

Rutherford County, TN Animal Rescue/Foster group is listing Dr Harris as a forever APPROVED VET for community homeless and death row dogs. When there is fosters in that area, I will continue to send them there, as well as I always highly recommend to rescues. Kristina that works there, is an absolute doll and a delight to work with. This vet is completely fair, honest, and does a great surgery. They also do Farm Calls, you simply cannot do better. Thank you Dr. Harris for your great work with our community homeless animals. You might of never knew that some were within an inch of their life at the "backroom" of Rutherford County PAWS, or somewheres else, and that we send some of these animals to you. We are a community group that is all about saving animals and because you are there, the rescues and citizens know they have a great place to take their pets, that they will get the utmost care and standard of treatment. All I can say is WOW !!!!! ~ Jody

They treated my sons puppy that had parvo with around the clock tlc. We were very fearful and they understood and gave us much appreciated emotional comfort. The charges for meds and 3 day hospital care were more than reasonable. They had also weeks before spayed my pot belly pig. This is the best vets and staff in our opinion.
