Im sure the 5 star reviews are coming from existing patients but try getting the same 5 star treatment as a new patient. I called this vet to get a second opinion on a bump on my pup that I wanted a confirmation on to confirm that it wasnt a mass cell tumor. The red flag was when I tried to set up an appt via their website. They responded with, "Are you a new or existing patient?" Why would it matter? I decided to call to make an appointment as a new patient and I was told that my pup couldnt get into see them unless I had all of the paperwork from the previous vet that gave me the opinion on their findings on the cytology. Thats like a hand specialist asking me for a referral from my primary care physician in order to see them. This rarely happens. I told her that I would be paying for the exam and cytology, what would it matter? She said they still needed the information that I received that led me to my second opinion. No! Are you serious?? Should I have called, lied and told them that I needed an appt so that my pup could have a bump looked at? Seems so. These 5 star reviews are only as good as how well youre treated and until someone writes an honest review on the negative aspects of the practice, youll only get the rainbows and ponies side of it. There are other vets in the PNS area. Ill not darken the doorstep of this particular one as long as they are in business.

We're pleased with the vet and vet assistant--very knowledgable and it shows that they genuinely care. The medical aspect of this establishment gets five stars. The boarding, however, is a whole different story. We have boarded here many times in the past year, and EVERY SINGLE TIME the son comes back reeking, and with FLEAS! He is visibly glad to leave the place, and the fleas are so bad, he has raw wounds from scratching unless we bathe him with flea shampoo the whole week after he is back. Every time we medicate him and nurse him back to health, thinking we'll give it another go, and every time he comes back, we have a hard time forgiving ourselves for allowing this to take place again! We expect much better from a vet boarding place--we expect a clean, healthy boarding environment where they are well taken care of by trained professionals, but if we don't learn from our mistake, then whose fault is it that the standard of care continues to decline with time? Do NOT board your pet here. We won't be back for boarding, either.

I move around a lot with the military and was very nervous to have to try yet another vet, but the staff and doctors were awesome. I have a senior dog with numerous benign lumps on her body, but I dont want to make her go through one surgery after another as they keep appearing with age. Instead the doctor worked with my wishes and we biopsied each lump to check for cancer then measured them so we can monitor them. It was nice to have a vet really listen to what I want for my dog and then provide feedback (whether it was to agree or disagree) and suggest her diagnosis/treatment plan. What a very caring vet practice.

We formerly used Dr. Roberts and when he retired we were looking for a place where our animals felt comfortable and so did we. A friend recommended Chemstrand Oaks and we have been so pleased. They are a caring, wonderful group and both Vets are great. They have done surgery on my little Whippet and he has cancer so we want the very best for him. We had to have our oldest dog put down a few months ago and it was heart wrenching for us. They were wonderful! It is a clean, beautiful facility and we are very happy with the care our animals receive.

I have been using Dr. Elliott for my cats and dogs for the past eight years and have been very pleased. Dr. Elliot always spends a lot of time with my pets and explains everything thoroughly, often giving me handouts to read later on different conditions they have. I have found him very knowledgeable and caring. The front office staff is also great and whenever I have needed to get an appointment in an emergency they have accommodated me right away. I would definitely recommend Dr. Elliott to anybody looking for a caring vet.

This by far is the best Veterinary Hospital ever!! I have referred others to Chemstrand Oaks Veterinary Hospital and they were beyond pleased by the service Dr. Elliott and staff provide. In fact I hear the same response after their visit "WOW....why did I waste time and money at my other Veterinarian?" If youre seeking a Brilliant, Honest, Compassionate Veterinarian who doesnt over charge for his services....look no more! Youll Love Dr. Elliott especially the time he spends with your furry children.

I have had the pleasure to take my cat, Bella, to both Dr. Henley and Dr. Elliot. Theyve taken great care of Bella every time Ive gone. I was a new patient back in late 2016 and they treated me just as respectfully as they do now. The only difference Ive had between new and return patient visits is that I had to be there a bit early on the new patient to fill out paperwork and give them her previous shots/checkups.

I wish there were more than 5 stars. The staff at Chemstrand Oaks are superb. Our dog was a little nervous and would not sit on the table, so the vet got onto the floor to examine him! Fantastic caring service. Prices were very reasonable and the level of care was extremely high. We care very much for our little lad, and so do Chemstrand Oaks.

I have taken my feline here for 4 years. Everything has always been clean and professional. Staff is nice and medical care is top notch. I have referred several of my friends to this location as they have gotten pets of their own. You should feel comfortable using the establishment for any of your pets medical needs.
