INFURIATINGLY USELESS. LIED TO BY MANAGER. REPEATEDLY.... I would not recommend this place to anyone unless it was after hours and your pet is literally dying. They did not diagnose my stray cat, (who is hard to catch and is even less fond of being in a car or building than a typical cat). Instead they provided a completely worthless solution. I would have been more than happy to pay more money to find out what was wrong and fix it instead of receiving the worthless "solution" they provided me for $173. While there, I asked for an injectable antibiotic for the cat. The vet stated "That would be complete overkill." I was told to give the cat the prescribed medicine and contact them in 72 hours if it was not improving. The cat got worse. So, I called back and they said she needed an oral antibiotic, so I went to pick it up and paid $50. 48 hours later, the cat is getting worse. One of the staff called to ask how the cat was, and I let her know how upset I was, so she had her manager, Heather, call me. Heather apologized profusely and asked me to come back in and see another vet, assuring me that they would take the time to correctly diagnose my cat. She also stated that I would not be charged for this visit since my previous experience was so bad. Against my better judgement, I did go in, and the vet literally examined my cat for less than a minute. She said, "I think it is a tooth abscess, but we dont do that here, so you will have to go to your regular vet." Again, I asked for an injectable antibiotic, and I was told "That will probably not help, but if you really want it for her, I can order it." I did want it, and they gave her the injection. I was charged $80 for this visit, even though I was assured that I would not be. Unless your pet is dying, I do not recommend going here. Wait until your vet is open if at all possible. UPDATE: So, I took her to a vet that was recommended to me, Vale Park Animal Hospital. The vet took one look at the cat and said that she had an abscess from being in a fight, not from a tooth. He cleaned her up, and said she needed an injectable antibiotic. WHAT? North Central had said "Thats complete overkill" and "Its probably not going to help, but if you really want it for her, I can order it." I paid $60 to Vale park Animal Hospital and the cat was noticeably better within a couple of hours of leaving Vale Park. She recovered completely in less than a week. I spent over $300 at the North Central vet for literally NOTHING except for an injectable antibiotic that I practically had to beg for and was told that it wouldnt help. So, I spoke with Heather again after my appointment at Vale Park, and explained the situation to her. She again apologized profusely and said that she would have the bookkeeper write out a check to me for a full refund the next day. UPDATE: It is almost a month later and I still have not received the check. I have called Heather and left messages but she has ignored my calls. This place is horrible. I received service worse than I could imagine and I was lied to more than once.

EXTRAORDINARY!! How lucky we are to have this service available to us! . When we visited we were treated extremely well and, more importantly so was our dog. They took a really thorough history on him and they really listened to what we said and to our concerns. I appreciated the fact that they took so much time speaking to us and explaining step by step what they were going to do, what they were looking for and what had happened. The entire staff was professional, understanding, concerned and kind. The facility was extremely clean and well organized and we didnt have to wait at all - they got us right in. . I highly recommend North Central Emergency Vet services. . We have a 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier that we love beyond words. He has recently had a sudden issue with his back and neck. It has been very painful for him. Weve had him to his regular vet twice in two weeks and we thought he was healing and then suddenly he began screeching for no apparent reason - hed be sleeping, or sitting perfectly still and then just let out a piercing YIP in pain. Of course this happened after regular vet hours so we took him to the Emergency Vet. They found that he had injured a rib. They prescribed an additional pain medication and made some extremely helpful recommendations. This was on Wednesday and it is now Friday and we have seen great improvements.

I had my cat declawed and after a couple weeks I thought I was "out of the woods" as far as complications go. My cat is REALLY active, and theres really nothing I can do about that. She jumps all over the place like a lemur, especially when shes trying to get my attention. One day though I came home from work and right before I went to bed I felt something wet on my chest. I turned on the lights and there were bloody paw prints all over my room! I freaked out and googled animal ERs. I called this ER right before I left to describe the situation and then drove over there as fast as I could. At North Central Vet ER they shaved her afflicted paw so they could see where she was bleeding and stitched her up. The vet that cared for my cat was very straight forward and I could tell she loved animals the second I met her. They held my cat overnight to make sure her wounds didnt re-open as per my request. If I ever have an issue with my cat that needs immediate care I will definitely take her to this facility. I strongly recommend North Central Vet ER to anyone who has a pet in need of immediate care =)

The only reason I gave this center 4 stars has to do with pricing. While the initial exam is not bad ($89), the tests after the exam to determine what is wrong are. It is EXTREMELY expensive to come here and have your animal stay. Everything is billed separately. Our animal is alive today, but with a price tag way beyond our financial budget. We LOVE the rDVMs here!! I have not met one yet that is not great! Another plus is you can call anytime to check on your pet and the actual DR will answer the call and address the questions you have and also give you the details on the care and recovery of your animal. Paperwork is very well explained and billing is itemized so that you know exactly what was done. I also like the way they do the record keeping on the charts of the animals - you know exactly what time they ate, went outside, urinated/BM, etc. You cannot go wrong in going here if you have a pet emergency!!!

We went to see Dr. Martin for my English mastiffs chronic ear infection... he is normally deathly afraid of going to the vet and since his ear is so painful I can understand. By his reactions from his visit tells me all I need to know about her love of animals and desire to help with these hard cases. The correspondence through email since his visit about diet and any questions I have had pertaining to his visit have been wonderful and immediate. I am definitely a very satisfied client with the thorough exam and explanation of charges and future plans to figure out why my poor pup is in so much agony with these ear infections. I finally feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel and a positive result will eventually be found for my big baby. I highly recommend Dr. Martins dermatology knowledge and care for your pet family members!
