I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE. I visited them after a severe auto accident (resulting in a concussion) as my vision was in really bad shape, and had drastically changed from the moments prior to the accident, to the day after the accident. I could no longer see the menu on my TV, it was EXTREMELY painful to look at any electronics and I was having intense migraines. I KNEW something had happened to my eyes in result of the auto accident. I explained my situation to the O.D. (Barry Curtis), and his response was that I was getting older (42) and that this was normal for my age, and stated that I had dry eyes. I reiterated the fact that my vision/eyes had felt fine prior to the accident, and were noticeably different following the accident. He looked at me and again stated that this is natural for someone my age. He didnt run any tests (aside from a very basic eval), and not ONCE did he mention anything about the effects a concussion can have on the brain (and in turn, the eyes). He never even related the two...he basically blew off the fact that I had even HAD an accident involving head trauma and chalked it up to advanced age. He gave me eye drops and heating pads for the eyes to stimulate moisture. When I left, I knew better than to accept his diagnosis. I Googled eye pain and concussion, and there was a TON of information concerning the effects a concussion/head trauma can have on your eyes. I went to my Internist who was shocked by the treatment I received at Frisco Eye Associates. She referred me to an actual MD (an Ophthalmologist)for an evaluation. In this visit, I explained my accident, the concussion and told her what Barry Curtis at Frisco Eye Associates had said. She shook her head as I was speaking and then said, pardon me but that is BS. She stated that his diagnosis of dry eye and normal aging was incorrect and irresponsible. She explained that my vision change and pain was a direct result of the head trauma I had suffered. She wrote a prescription for glasses and stated that while I previously had very mild degeneration from the natural process of aging (never really even had to wear glasses), this accident traumatized my brain to the point where it was no longer strong enough to compensate for that natural loss, and advised me that due to this trauma, moving forward, I would have to wear glasses at all times. She explained that the pain would last about a year, but that the change in vision would be permanent. Even given this bad news, I felt SO much better knowing what was going on and at least having a treatment plan that would work. She also stated that I shouldnt wear contacts for a about a year while recovering from the concussion. I was so angry about the over site of Barry Curtis at Frisco Eye Associates. I called the office (Frisco Eye Associates) and spoke to an office manager and requested a refund (which I received). I explained that their treatment (or lack thereof) and Barry Curtiss lack of knowledge concerning something as common as a concussion and the results it can have on vision, was VERY disturbing. I DO NOT recommend Frisco Eye Associates.

I was highly referred to this office by many members from my church. I have visited this office for several years now and I was happy with the doctor and the quality of my glasses. I was in this office around Jan. 8, 2010 to get a part repaired on my prescription glasses. Before leaving they told me, "I do not owe anything". I asked, "Please double check as I thought I owed something". After they doubled checked my account, they told me again, "You do not owe anything". I said, OK if you are sure and I left. Almost two months later, a bill for $84.00 was sent to my house. I told my husband, I was there at their office and they told me, I do not owe anything. I phoned and spoke with the office manager. She said that she handed me the bill when I was there getting my glasses fixed. I did not know anything about this; perhaps someone else has my same name. I was very concerned as to why she would say such a thing. I have no clue as to why she would say this. I said, I asked if they would please double check and they assured me, I did not owe anything. She said sorry you have to pay. I asked if her boss was there that I would like to speak with her. She said, she is at lunch. I asked for a return call. I then received a phone call at my place of work from the Customer Service manager. I first asked, why are you calling me on my work phone? I did not leave this number with your office manager!!! She said she looked up a day phone number and that my work number was listed. I told her what the confusion was and she said, yes we have it documented that you came in on 1-8-2010. I asked if you have it documented, then please find out who it was that waited on me. I remembered only a few staff people at the front desk. She said, it is not possible for her to find out who it was. She said that they have over 20 employees. (I work with over 150 employees and I could tell you who was waiting on our customers on a certain day) She said that she spoke with Dr. Marsh and he said "I have to pay for this". Did you explain to him how I already tried to pay for this and I was told I do not owe anything? She said, yes. I told her that the office mgr. said that she handed me the bill while I was there getting my glasses fixed. Wow, now I am very concerned as this, DID NOT HAPPEN. Why are they lying to cover their mistakes? I am very concerned about how now she tells me that she was sitting right beside the Office Manager while I was on the phone with her. Oh, OK, why did she lie to me and say she was at lunch? What is really the truth here. The inability to tell the truth with a customer and now making up excuses to justify their mistakes concerns me dearly. How many other customers have experienced the same treatment? I tried to pay, they said NO. Two months later, they send me a bill and say, pay up or else??? This office is not very organized and I am very disappointed in the way they treated me. Trying to tell lies in life will get you no where, especially telling you customers information that is not the true to cover up for your mistakes leads me to believe they have many, many problems.

I was referred to this office by a friend because I had moved and needed a new eye Dr. When I arrived I waited what seemed like forever to be seen. Then the entire exam was rushed. I walked out with a fresh pair of contacts and ordered glasses that I was told would be take no longer than 2 weeks tops to get. My head hurt all weekend because the prescription was wrong so I put my old contacts back in and waited for my glasses. I never got the call for my glasses so I called to see when they would be in and was told I didnt have to call them that they would call me when the glasses came in. The two week period was now at almost 3 weeks. So I called again and asked when the actual order was placed since I came in on a Thursday and was told they would be ordered that day. The lady conveyed to me that the actual order wasnt even placed until the following Monday. I was at a point where I couldnt wear my old contacts anymore because they were killing my eyes and I was having head aches. I was told Well I would just have to wait until the glasses came in and that they would call me. Complete lack of consideration and the tone over the phone was not curteous or customer service oriented. So clearly this office does not need my business so I will not recommend them nor return to this office to be treated like second class trash.
