The Doctor was polite and took his time. He wrote me an EXPENSIVE Acuvue 12 pack prescription for Astigmatism. I went to my local eye clinic with his prescription to buy an enexpensive box of Encore contacts. They told me I had to buy exactly what he wrote on the prescription, I didnt even notice they charged my insurance for a 12 pack and only gave me a 6 pack! His front desk was rude @ my initial visit. Once I went to the front, they insisted I buy the most expensive pair of contacts, they would not let me talk to him about my prescription or tell him my concerns. This office was SO eager to charge my insurance! I ended up bringing one box back because my vision was not fully corrected, he gave me a box without the Astigmatism (which was cheaper) and Never credited my insurance. Long story short, my insurance paid for a prescription that #1 I cant use anywhere else unless I buy the most expensive brand #2 the overcharged my insurance and didnt provide me with the exact product (12 pack) and #3 they did not credit my insurance the difference but gave me a store credit #4 FRONT OFFICE IS RUDE AND UNWELCOMING! !!!

I used my employers insurance with family coverage along with medicaid for my sons vision benefits. They tried to charge me different copays and had to refer to my printed benefits to prove my lower copay. They refused to process medicaid even though I found their clinic on the Texas medicaid website, and again wanted me to pay their fee now. They directed us to the priciest frames and lenses, and quoted us a hundreds of dollars. We wanted to price around since we have paid lower at walmart and target, but the sales person took the worksheet and ripped it up on front of our face and thew it away. We will have to rely on memory on their price, but will remember how they tried to get extra money from us on the copays along with their disrespectful behavior. We asked for a copy of the prescription before leaving, and evens so made a suspicious revision before we left. I hope that my kids glasses will be right when we see another provider for the lenses and frames. Come as a last resort, but realize that they are probably going to try to milk the visit for all they money the can.

I told them to give my glasses back after two weeks of continuous mistakes. They just couldnt get my glasses right. Two weeks and they still needed to send them off for finalizing., which is another process. This isnt the first time the mistakes happened. Had problems in the past. I have a very minimal prescription...but after waiting for retrieval of my glasses ..which was a process.. I got them back with a script 3 times as strong which almost knock me off my feet. Lets just say.. as bad as my eyes crossed u would think they wanted to switch spots... but neways they still had to send for a fix ..which again a longer process.. all in all maybe they should try getting professional staff. I was called in for a exam , when I get there they take me in the back and didnt know why I was there. Was told .."they figured I would know".. ..come on seriously?!! After all the traffic I had to go through to get there?!! Im done!

Wow! I had a 7:00 am appointment with Dr Burton. It was great that they opened early so I could make it to work on time. When I arrived at 7 am they were already there waiting for me. The staff is super professional and the place is immaculate. I joked with Dr Burton that the place looked new and he said he has been at this location since 1995 ( I need the cleaning persons number :) ). Dr Burton efficiently diagnosed my vision problem in @ 20 minutes and prescribed me the perfect bi-vision contacts. It was refreshing to have a Dr and staff treat me so well and very pleasant. I see why God has blessed him and his people with so much success. The entire visit was affordable and in the future I will only see Dr. Burton for all of me and my familys vision needs. If you or any of my friends need an optometrist 1st Eye Care is the place....Kudos to All. Kevin "The Fridge" Wood....Satisfied Customer.
