In short, unnecessarily charged a total of $1,200 due to errors on their part, which they refused to correct. 2 things that I expect from doctors: (1) that they recommend action based on whats best for the patients health, not based on what allows them to bill the patients insurance; and (2) that they be upfront about diagnoses that might be false positives, or at least that they recommend further tests before jumping to conclusions (otherwise I might as well have WebMD stoke my hypochondria for free). Sadly, my visit to Doctors Clinic failed on both of these criteria. First, the doctor recommended a bunch of extraneous tests "because itll be covered by my insurance so why not". Because theyre completely unnecessary and youre just recommending these to bill my insurance; this should have been a red flag. Not to mention that the office mis-coded the claim to my insurance, despite my insurance company saying that they were willing to reimburse me if the doctor resubmitted the claim (which they refused). Second, she called me over a week after my appointment claiming that I would have a heart attack if I didnt immediately go to the emergency room (I didnt have symptoms). Both an MD that I know and the doctor at the ER immediately suspected that this was a false-positive due poorly-drawn blood rupturing my red blood cells, which was confirmed by the test re-run at the ER. Overall, a very financially and emotionally costly visit that I wouldnt wish upon anyone.

The first time we came here the receptionist was rude. Had my son with me and she was rude because he was running around a bit. I wouldnt have minded if she was nice but she had an ugly attitude. He is autistic but she didnt seem to care as she continued to be rude. I tried to go a couple times and one time she messed up on a confirmation number and couldnt go. Today I went and again, she was very rude. Being sarcastic, asking dumb question. Acted like she ran the place. I had a 104 fever and she showed no sympathy and continued to be very rude. At one point I threw up and she came out and only thing she said was "you couldnt make it to the trash can?" Giving me ugly looks and then started talking down to me in Spanish. I guess she didnt know I spoke Spanish since my skin is white. I was so miserable I didnt say anything at the time because I just wanted to see the DR. and get well. The Dr. Practioner was very nice and apologized but even when my husband called, she gave him attitude too. I read on here that people have complained about the receptionist several times. Why has she not lost her job yet? Do the owners not care how the patients are treated by their receptionist??????? I am going to go higher than a Google review because a customer should not be treated like this or treat my disabled son bad. Its a shame because Nagi is nice but she needs a new receptionist.

First, I was able to schedule an appointment about 6 hours before the visit (had other plans to complete first). But more important was my treatment by Dr. Cynthia Ketterer. My problem was my large toe on my right foot - I had stubbed it more severely than I thought while walking 5 days earlier and used hot baths to reduce the swelling and, I hoped, any infection. As time went on, the pain increased almost to preventing walking and I thought a likely infection was spreading. In the visit, Dr. Ketterer analyzed the foot, checked for a toe-bone break via xray (none) and described what damage had likely occurred and how it fit my symptoms. I was prescribed 10 days of a medicine for the infection and to continue the hot foot bath, avoid further injury. I was very impressed with Dr. Ketterers listening and empathy, how she approached the problems possible severity and provided a solution. As a new arrival in Houston, I needed to establish a relationship with an urgent-care facility and am now comfortable that I have found one.

My family and I have been going to this location for 3 years and up until recently had a great experience and highly recommended it. That is not the case anymore. Every since Viviane has left and the new doctor came in, the clinic is terrible. Wait times used to be near zero, now they are over an hour. It took 3 hours for a standard appointment and I left the office no better off than when I came in. So after wasting three hours of my time I now have to go find a new doctor and go through that process. Dont waste your time here unless management does something about this new doctor. Luckily, I imagine it wont take long for them to fix it. Every person that was in the office today was frustrated. I was also obvious that even the staff was frustrated. Save yourself the headache and frustration...

I took my wife to this location and the receptionist was very rude and was not professional at all. He asked for the payment before even seeing the doctor and when I asked for itemized bill she replied that we need to see the doctor first!!! So why should they charged me first then? I only asked for a bill for my payment. It took 30 min to see the doctor. She suggested a medicine then the nurses asked for my favorite pharmacy to get the drug. Then they told us it was send so I can go get it. To my surprise the pharmacy told me that they never received the prescription. I dont think I will consider this location in my future needs and I strongly not recommend it for anybody. Take my advice there are better options

I have seen the bad reviews and I have a very hard time believing what is being said about this clinic. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated. With that being said, I have attended this clinic since 2007 and though staff has come and gone, their level of caring and my satisfaction with their care remains the same. When diagnosed with the big C, I was told by the specialist that I needed to thank the person that sent me to him. I will forever be grateful for the care and compassion that I received at Doctors Clinic Houston, West Memorial. I owe them my life.

Ive experienced seeing rude patients while waiting for my appointment at this office . Ive also overheard a loud patient get upset because she wanted pain meds and were told she would be sent to a pain management doctor. And its understandable thats why we get referred out just like I did. For the last 3 years I been comming here and the staff is very helpful, Friendly, and very knowledgeable they get you in ASAP same day appointments who does that? Nobody but this office Jessica, the MA has a very lovely personality and always greets you with a smile" makes you feel very good.
