I have waited months to give this review due to the years Ive been a patient here but its time to stand up and speak . I have been with Dr. Nanda and Dr. Cook for 12 years. They have slowly gotten worse in patient care but I stuck with them because they were familiar and I was scared to try someone else while pregnant. Well after my 3rd child I wanted my tubes tied. They told me no problem whole pregnancy and the whole 8 weeks after birth. The day before my surgery they called and said due to an old scar on my stomach they didnt want to tie my tubes and told me to do an IUD or ESSURE. Btw the scar on my stomach had no effect of getting my tubes tied. They told me Essure was completely safe no hormones easy recovery no side effects. Even told me to do ablation after my essure and I wouldnt have periods anymore, which is a huge no no because it can Melt the coils, the physicians pamphlet even tells them not to. I didnt want ID due to hormones and my melasma. So I trusted them and did Essure. WORST mistake of my life. Immediately after Essure I bled for 6 weeks. They kept brushing it off saying it was the birth control. My hair started falling out in clumps, teeth hurting really bad, taste metal 24/7 bloated like a 7 month pregnant women and alot more side effects. I told Dr.Cook he ignored it and didnt give a damn about what I was saying. Said it couldnt be from Essure. I looked into it further and behold there is a BLACK BOX WARNING, which they never told me or even mentioned the list they are supposed to go over with patients. Its under investagation by the FDA. Just removed from the market in Brazil. Women are getting pregnant left and right with ESSURE. Horrible, disabling side effects and usually you have to have a hysterectomy to get them out. And you still may not be 100% normal. It has lasting side effects even after removal. Which at 30 I shouldnt even have to be considering. So thanks to them Im scheduled in May to get my hysterectomy to hopefully get my life back. Im so disappointed in yall. Please look into ESSURE before even considering it. Essure problems on FB or Google Essure problems. This is not joke. BTW they get kick backs $$$$$ for installing Essure....God bless -Yvonne Wilson

Dr. Cook is amazing! My husband and I had a miscarriage back in November 2010. My OB GYN at the time (NOT Dr. Cook) immediately diagnosed me with a genetic disorder, but said I was young, the disorder was being well managed and sent me on my way. After 7 months of trying to get pregnant with no luck, I went back to her to see if we could have some fertility testing done or be referred to someone who could help. She told us straight up we wouldnt be able to even discuss fertility until I had been trying for a full year. I felt like just giving up. But a friend told me about Dr. Cook and we quickly made an appointment. Had a lot of appointments open, very flexible, staff was wonderful, and helpful (I initially called the office to discuss if he would even see me for this situation/be able to help. The nurse that I spoke to was so encouraging!). He was so warm, encouraging, and knowlegable. We have the same goal and he listened to everything! He wasted no time setting up a plan to help us and beginning some tests. We actually found out we were up against male-factor infertility! We are now on the right path and have taken control of our fertility. I hope to report some good news soon! Best OB GYN in Houston!!!

I remember, reading the reviews & thinking; wow! This place must be wonderful with great Doctors & staff. OMG it was a nightmare!!!! Im an elementary teacher & this was our first child. My husband wanted to have an experience we would remember for a life time. Ohhh Dr. Cook gave that us!!! I remember meeting him once or twice. I should have known than but I didnt because I I was so far into my pregnancy I didnt want to abandon everything. I was always told, "he is out of the of the office delivering babies", or "he is on vacation", "he will be in shortly" , one lie after another!!! The time came & I had an "emergency" C-Section. After having my sweet son, I couldnt hold him, bc I was sooo weak & tired, I couldnt eat bc I was in excruciating pain & sweeling. Today I have to worse scar tissue & still pain after 3 years. I had to go under surgery bc the swelling is so bad! Please ladies, do not come here. Go somewhere you can make happy memories not a night mare! I know he accept Medicaid bc a lot of ladies informed me the plan they had. Thats why this place is sooooo packed! Its ridiculous.

Dr. Cook is creepy. Dismissive of my severe pain. Have had pain for 2 years now- enough to have to miss work which is really frustrating, and he said "It shouldnt be that bad I just saw a normal sized cyst on your ovary." Without even really asking the history or how long I have been dealing with the pain. He comes off as arrogant and I didnt like how he rubbed my legs before the pap smear. WIERD!! OBs arent supposed to be "suave" they are supposed to be professional. I am sure he is great for writing whatever pills you ask for and will go right into fertility treatment so some women like that, but I prefer a more professional approach, not a politician. I originally saw Dr. Cook and she was great, went back the second time and she was no longer with the practice. Thats how I ended up with Cook.

Twenty-three years ago, I was a high-risk pregnancy and Dr. Paul I. Cook delivered my son; he has been my doctor ever since. Dr. Cook is a humanitarian, enhancing the life of others through his medical practice. I have referred numerous friends to his practice and witnessed many happy, healthy, and grateful families walk through the doors of his office throughout the years. His expertise is comforting and is enhanced by his professionalism, compassion, and genuine concern for the overall health and wellbeing of his patients. Time has moved on and we are now second-generation of patients - he is my daughter’s doctor. I remain grateful for the proficiencies demonstrated by Dr. Cook and the OB/GYN Center in their exemplary dedication to the optimum health and wellbeing of their patients.

Awesome Ob Gyn. I have been seeing him and his wife (they are at the same practice) for over a year. They are always on time and its so easy to get an appointment. He listens to my concerns and is understanding and compassionate. He is also extremely experienced and professional. He is honest and doesnt beat around the bush. He is a straight shooter. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Cook. They have a satellite office so you dont have to fight the med center traffic but also have all the benefits of a doctor who practices in the Houston Med Center. Great doctor and amazing practice group.

Dr. Cook is AMAZING! He delivered both my kids in 97 & 99. I flat lined on my first one and he and his staff were absolutely AMAZING! My next one I was on high risk and it was the easiest pregnancy ever! Go figure! Again, his staff were the best. As he became more Amazing and popular he became more hard to get to see but be patient.... he is worth the wait!
