Coming to this place was most likely the worst decision I have ever made. Found a stray pup. She had fleas and worms. Took her to a corner vet who said her temperature was very low and she needed emergency care, so I rushed her over to this place (1960 Animal Hospital) on a whim. The best thing they did was see me and the puppy last minute. The vet, Dr. Simpson, said nothing about the temperature of the dog except to "keep her wrapped up in a towel." He and the nurse tested for worms, which she did have. I asked what we could do about the fleas and he did not give me a straight answer. He then proceeded to tell me he was going to take the puppy to the back to have her pumped full of fluids, to which I agreed to. When he returned, he told me he have her a pill called Capstar to kill the fleas. I DID NOT APPROVE THIS AT ALL, NOT TO MENTION IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE. He did not ask my permission. I asked if she was going to be okay, and he said yes and to bring her in for vaccinations. He gave me vitamins and dewormer. DID NOT TELL ME she was in dire condition. Did not tell me she needed to go to a special care facility. He sent me on my way. That night, four hours later, she started having seizures, convulsions, and she bit me which she had never done before. It was very upsetting, graphic and the images are still in my head nearly a week later. I looked up capstar and it does cause the things that I saw. She finally calmed down and I thought she was just drowsy from the meds or something because her breathing was regulated. THE VET DID NOT PRECAUTION ME OF ANY WEIRD BEHAVIOR THAT THE PILL MAY CAUSE. The puppy died that night. When I called them the next day, the vet told me I should have taken her to emergency care and "he hopes that my next dog is healthy." He did not accept responsibility for any of it- even IF she was already going to pass away and it had nothing to do with the flea meds, he did not try any harder to make her any more healthy and she was doing alright before we saw Dr. Simpson. Not that money even matters at this point, but he didnt even offer me a refund for the vitamins and dewormer I didnt even get to use because she passed only four hours after seeing him. LET ME TELL YOU. I AM TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW TO STAY AWAY. They are rushed and you are better taking your pets elsewhere. Although she wasnt mine for very long, that puppy was an angel and I wanted to do all I could to get her healthy again. That vet just wanted to make a quick buck and obviously didnt take the time to really try to get her into good health or advise me that she needed to be taken elsewhere. If you cant do the job yourself, send your customers to someone who can. All you care about is money and its really, really pathetic and sad. LOOK AT THE FACTS, PEOPLE. AND TAKE YOUR PETS TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEYRE DOING.

Where to start my dog had a emergency surgery on Christmas at a er which sent me to this vet. When removing the stitches the vet did not remove all the stitches even though he insisted he did. To top it off my dog had eaten bad food and got a upset stomach to which the vet told me that I was wrong and it was definitely not the food. (It was she is doing so much better on a new diet) he put her on steriods. Which really messed up her kidneys (I found that out through blood work from her current vet) every visit I would ask before hand how much it would cost. The vet would do and give my dog medications or test without my consent and charge me for all of it. So at the end of the day I would have enough on me with what they told me it would cost and it would be a lot more than what I was told. Do not go to a vet that cannot ask for consent before performing anything on your animals! It is really upsetting because the technicians and the receptionist are really nice and my dog loved them. The vet is only worried about money not the actual practice.

My dogs are over due for a visit and Ive been dreading going back. Im so glad I saw the other reviews about Dr. Simpsons bedside manner and seeming "bothered". I thought it was just me! I have taken my pets here about 3-4 times and I always leave feeling uncomfortable and glad its over. Neither the receptionists nor Dr Simpson seem to have any enthusiasm for pets or customers. I basically feel ignored each time I go. Dr. Simpson does his examinations with NO feedback. I have to ask all of the questions and it feels like Im pulling teeth to get answers and solutions. I have English Bulldogs and I thought he was bothered that I own genetically manufactured dogs that are over priced, over bred and often riddled with medical problems. However, after reading some of the other comments I now know that Dr. Simpson is just "bothered" period. I wont be returning.

Im not sure who would write a bad review about this place, but considering they would not put their real name - I think they are a troll trying to drive business away from here. This place is awesome. Both my dogs love the staff. I have always felt the staff and Dr Simpson go above and beyond; answering my questions, being available when needed, etc. I highly recommend FM1960 Animal Hospital.

Ive worked in the industry for 15 years and have always taken all my pets to the vet I initially worked for years ago. I was sad when I moved and needed to find another vet. I came across this clinic and have been very happy. The staff is both compassionate and very knowledgeable. Im so pleased to have found them! I recommend them to many people without reservation.

My interactions with Dr. Simpson left much to be desired . His bedside manner was horrible both times. He seemed "bothered" to have to deal with an ill animal. Wrong business for him to be in my opinion. There used to be another vet there she was much nicer perhaps I caught him on a bad day....both times. The staff is really great so thats a plus.

Just a absolutely horrible place to go. The staff is nothing short of obnoxious and condescending and there is little to none caring about the animals at all. Ive seen the cages they keep the dogs in and its terrifying, no one ever cleans them. Just a horrible place to go. The vet techs are especially despicable, they literally do nothing.

I love this vet. Staff knows the name of the pet and welcomes the pet with care. Our pet dog is a rescue and they minus the vet exam first time we went. They help you out money wise. They give you details on what could or needs to be done. My dog loves the staff.
