The unprofessional behavior of the doctors at Memorial Town and Country Animal Clinic is horrible. They used a dangerous medication for off market purposes and it killed be 14 year old yorkie, they did not give full disclosure of the side effects, (death is the first listed side effect) instead I was told it was safe. I asked for a urine culture & sensitivity test, and they took her urine to send out, but they did not wait for the results, they gave her the injection that day, the whole point of sending it out is to determine the type of bacteria so the correct antibiotic can be used. Sometimes vets will start with their best guess antibiotic while waiting for the Culture & sensitivity test result to come back, to try to give the animal relief, as they can always change it if needed -once the results come in. But to give a long term antibiotic injection (one that stays in system for 65 days) that cannot be undone, with no knowledge of whether it is correct, is a negligent practice of medicine. One of the safest antibiotics on the market (sulfur) ended up being the best one to use and the one they gave was not the correct one. The drug insert clearly states "A sample of the lesion should be obtained for culture and susceptibility testing prior to beginning antimicrobial therapy." My dog had a bad reaction to this medication, she couldnt walk, she would fall over, wouldnt eat, weak, I took her back in, in tears explaining what was going on, but they didnt take it seriously, they had attitude that I suggested the injection caused these side effects, even after seeing the changes in her blood work, they told me it was a coincidence. Instead of helping my dying dog, I was told that it seems I dont trust what they did so they think its time I go elsewhere! Their refusal to treat my dog for a documented adverse reaction and having attitude in the middle of a crisis, showing zero compassion was beyond upsetting and something I will never forget! The longterm injection they used and that ultimately cost my dog her life was only tested for animals that were well with deep skin lacerations, not older dogs with cancer, one of the documented adverse reactions to this drug is Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, which according to the necropsy report from Texas A&M, she died from IMHA & renal failure. The day she got the injection, I had her blood taken and her kidney values were fine and so was her HCT. IMHA requires very aggressive treatment and its is notorious for causing secondary conditions in affected patients. The decreased oxygen delivery resulting from anemia can cause problems with internal organ functions, especially the liver and kidneys. I understand doctors make mistakes, but this doctor never once called to check on my dog, never said he was sorry, never tried to help and the other doctors in the clinic had the same attitude, they told me (as my dog is dying In my arms) that they stand behind what he did and showed zero compassion, the whole experience was nothing short of a nightmare! I would NOT recommend Memorial Town & Country Animal Clinic to anyone. These doctors have been around for a while so I guess thats why they have attitude, they think they are above making a mistake, all I wanted them to do is help my dog, but apparently their ego was too big to help. The drug they used has a short shelf life, maybe thats why they used it, because you lose money if you dont use it by the expiration date, thats the only reason I can possibly think of that they would use a drug for skin lacerations on my older yorkie with cancer, and not even wait, to find out if its the right one and if they were going to be so careless as to use this on a dog that already had health issues, then it seems like they would have at the very least used half a dose. Beware of all the fake positive reviews on a different site, if you cant leave a review, its fake. Apparently they partake in this fraudulent act.

Most amazing vet clinic ever. The awesome staff at MTCAC has cared for our furry babies for 13 years, and Ive never had a complaint. He practically hurdles over us to get into the vet clinic as soon as we pull into the drive. MTCAC feels more like family than a doctors office.... and for that reason, Ill never go anywhere else! Couldnt recommend MTCAC more. 13 years cant be wrong. Whats the fuss all about? Keep reading. Dr. Peterson has provided amazing care to our sweet boy Jake (a medium sized dog) for as long as hes been at the clinic (and most recently Jake has had super complicated medical issues). Hes easy to talk to, listens to all of our concerns (by most accounts Im a neurotic pet parent!), and has a very reasonable approach to care. He has been awesome at coordinating care with specialists when necessary. Ive never felt like he was "over treating", or pushing high dollar tests/procedures. In Dr. Petersons absence one weekend, Dr. Edwards made a tough call to send us to emergency care - it was the PERFECT CALL and probably saved Jakes life. Dr. Inman is patient, and willing to provide the simplest or most detailed information - depending on what you want. She has taken great care of our recent rescues (really small dogs), and made the transition process to foster care easy. The only reason Im not commenting on Dr. Brasher is that we havent had the pleasure of working with him directly, but know others who have and love him. Now to the staff. It says A LOT that the staff has had minimal turnovers throughout the years. Its so comforting to see the same front desk staff visit after visit, and hear a familiar voice on the phone. Oh, the vet techs. I love their vet techs! I feel like they really care about the animals they treat. Kimberly has been a fabulous wealth of knowledge over the years, and couldnt be sweeter or more comforting. Jen has been equally valuable in our experience. These ladies know my animals by sight, and are a huge part of the reason I trust this clinic. Referencing our complicated medical issue dog Jake, above, it was actually because of vet tech Jen at MTCAC, who chatted me up during a nail clip, where I mentioned some unusual signs I had been seeing, who recommended an immediate blood test .... where the first signs of abnormality were found. I cant stress enough that it was because of her, Dr. Peterson, and Dr. Edwards that quick action was taken, and Jake is fortunately still with us. If youve read this far, youve surely seen something that would make a difference to you in the care of your pet. So, what are you waiting for? This clinics team ROCKS. .

i have gone to MTAC for years.. my first dog lived a good long life and passed in her sleep from old age,, my second dog Layla was a bundle of joy, but about two months ago i took her in because of her constant coughing. unfortunately she was diagnosed with heart failure... i could have lost her that day,! Dr Inman was amazing and wonderful and with medication i was able to have anther couple of months with Layla. Unfortunately, her heart failure progressed quickly and yesterday I had to take her in because she couldnt breath. Again Dr. Inman and the staff and clinic were amazing. They gave Layla oxygen and got her stabilized and I was able to have another couple hours to be with her and say goodbye.. Layla was never in pain, Dr. Inman was amazing in the way she explained everything to me , the prognosis,, the options. everything.. when i made the decision to euthanize Layla, it was heartbreaking. But i knew it was the right thing to do,, and it was a very peaceful loving process.. thank you Dr. Inman.. thank you thank you thank you . i came home afterwards and started reading about how to handle Laylas sister and minimize the depression and loss she may go through....I read somewhere that it can be helpful if the surviving dog can see the passed on dog so they have some sense of what happened.. Amazingly, i called and the staff were completely open to me coming back up,. I took Bella up to the clinic( i live right next door, so easily walked back and fourth.. ) the staff had Layla waiting in a loving cradled blanked in a little dog bed, just as if she as taking a nap,,it was so beautiful and peaceful.. im not sure it helped Bella, well see,, But it helped me tremendously to see Layla so calm and beautifully laid and blanketed.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Inman. Could not have asked for a more peaceful loving experience... The Staff at Mtac have been there for years and years..through the lifetime of both my previous and existing dogs.. THEY LOVE ANIMALS. they are incredibly compassionate and calming and helpful. thank you.
