I have been seeing Dr DeSplinter for about 5 years. Until the past year, it was always a pleasure dealing with her and her office staff. Last year I got pregnant and had many visits. I feel like I spent half my life dealing with billing issues. If there was anything done other than a prenatal visit, I was on the phone because claims were submitted (and denied) due to lack of codes. The billing department is a NIGHTMARE. Billing for lab issues go to Della and messages arent returned for 7 days. Billing for other services are routed through the hospital so issues are seldom sent back to the Dr. I recently got put on the hook for over $430 for an ultrasound following IUD placement. The DR coded this as routine- thus this is not covered as routine care. Since when is an IUD placement routine healthcare? Why wasnt I told to expect a bill for this? Why wasnt I told this was optional? The DR has a responsibility to the patient which includes informing them of elective procedures and the costs associated. I feel totally ripped off by this office. I dont feel there was an actual medical necessity to do this ultrasound, but the DR advised to do it, so I did. I also got stuck paying for unnecessary lab work during my delivery. My blood type was ordered 2 days in a row. Whos blood type changes???? Theres no need for that to be ordered twice. Just goes to show that she didnt read the chart or previous orders. Save your time, money and your sanity and DO NOT GO HERE.

She is not very thorough at all. Brought my daughter in to see her when she 16 since she had not started her period and as of yet and I felt like something was wrong with my child but I was told give it time, it will happen. She didnt do a pelvic exam or anything beyond a having nurse do height, weight, basic questions & a urine cup. I ended up taking my daughter to a different dr. that did a pelvic which in less than 2 minutes was over because she immediately knew something was wrong and ordered an ultrasound. Then we were sent to get a MRI done. My daughter has MRKH. She will never have a period nor will she ever have children. She was born without a uterus. Had this dr. cared enough to do a simple exam instead of taking my $ and sending us on we could have been on this so much sooner. I knew something was wrong with my child and it is unacceptable for this to happen. The interaction with this dr. was a complete FAIL.

Dr. Desplinter is very nice and seems to care about your health. However, the billing department is a freaking joke! They are disorganized to say the least! I have been dealing with Dela in the billing department. She was supposed to reach out to my insurance company regarding some tests I had done, come to find out, 6 months later, my insurance company has not received anything from this billing office. Sadly, I am now looking for a new OB/GYN so I dont have to deal with this type of issue. Sorry Dr. Desplinter.

Dr Desplinter was not thorough and did not take my severe abdominal pain seriously. Now, 5 months later, a trip to the ER and a new OB/GYN, I am scheduled for a hysterectomy to remove an 8 centimeter tumor on my left ovary, the ovary itself and my enlarged uterus. I am very lucky that this tumor is not ovarian cancer. She seems like to type of dr who no longer cares about the patient but rather about just the money. I do not recommend this doctor.

I absolutely love Dr Traci DeSplinter I had the best delivery experience ever with her along with a super great 9 months of seeing her for every prenatal visit! She is very sweet, kind, and listens to everything you have to say and is very helpful in every way! As long as I am in the Houston area I will alway continue to see her and so should you!
