I just returned from Regional ER with my 81 year old mother who could not walk and had trouble standing because she has had leg cramps for about 3 weeks. We have been to orthapedic, arthritis, cardiologist, neurologist, endocrinologist, blood and cancer dr., have had all kinds of blood tests, xrays, MRI, dopplers you name it we have tried it. She can not take pain meds. Last night things got so bad that she was talking about wanting to die. So we went to the ER at Regional. by ambulance. They did some x rays and did not find anything new. They asked her what she expected them to do. All they can do is give scripts for pain med and she can not take it. We used the bedside potty and the nurses saw how hard it was for me to get her up. We were discharged. I put her in the wheelchair and the nurse rolled her out to the waiting room and left her while I got the car. They had me sign some papers and no one helped me get her in the car. Right now she is at home lying in bed crying because she hurts so bad about to try the pain med that I am sure will make her even harder to handle. She wishes she was dead and the ER at a big hospital can not do anything for her and can not help get her in the car upon discharge. Can you tell I am mad? I did not go to medical school and I do not know what can be done but you would think someone would try to do something other than drug her.

Delivered my baby here a few months back. My nurses were all fantastic! Didnt have much dealing with the nursery but when they would come to get my daughter for baths or tests the ladies were always very nice as well. Nice, clean rooms with a very sweet cleaning crew. The only thing to stop me from giving 5 stars was the lactation consultant. I was still droggy (recovering from a c section) and new to the process the first time I met her and thought all was going well. She seemed in a rush and informed me that she would have an opening in a week to see me and the nurses could schedule an appt at my discharge. Well the next day I asked to see her unaware that she didnt work weekends (seems like since babies are born during the weekend as well someone would be available daily). At discharge I was given an appt 12 days out. Needless to say with a baby that isnt latching properly 12 days is an eternity away and unfortunately had given up and didnt make that appt.

I recently had my first baby at this hospital. My rooms and everything were very nice and clean. My doctor, the anesthesiologist, the lactation consultant, and the nurse who helped deliver my baby were all absolutely amazing. Thankfully the nursery kept very good care of my baby but the nursing staff throughout my stay was HORRIBLE. One of them chewed my husband and I out for our baby having a dirty diaper when he got back to the nursery, which we knew nothing about until she said something. They acted like they either didnt want to be there or like they looked down upon me because of my age. I do appear to still be in my teens but am in my twenties. Each shift change I couldnt wait to get a new nurse. My very first nurse didnt try to ease my mind about labor at all and then the shifts changed and she left me scared out of my mind. I would definitely recommend the hospital but if your nurse treats you badly, complain or ask for a new one.

Oh I went to this hospital by ambulance. Which was bumpy but fair. Some of the nurses here, really was sweet and caring. An because of those few nurses I give 3 instead of 1 rating. The dr that you had gotten. You was very luck if you saw him at all any day. Then being told that I did something wrong when I didnt do anything. Or the fact that being called a lair because I am hurting. Yeah if it wasnt for the few good nurses an dr I would have again given 1 star rating. Then the nurses if you are close enough to their stations. You can hear their whole conversation. The call light dont even get me started on that. Yes the pick up and answer "I will tell your nurse, give us a moment." If you have great insurance then you get a big nice room. If not yep got to share with 8 other people and their guess

Worst Hospital in East Texas. I was in a car accident, I hit a tree, and totaled my truck. I sat in a room for three hours and wasnt offered a ibuprofen to say the lease. After complaining I finally received medication. I injured my left calf because they wouldnt provide a wheelchair and I couldnt put any weight on right foot. All of this happened, they never gave me a work/school excuse. Filed for my accident insurance at my job and Longview Regional hospital did not have anything in medical record about missing work nor school. They gave me the run around and told me to request my medical record. Needless to say my days of worked missed will not be paid because Nurse Practioner Diana did not provide the proper documentation.

the nurses were great with my daughter. but we went in because sshe was in pain. The Dr didnt give her anything for the pain, said all was fine with her and sent her home. She was still in pain, had very elevated white blood count, they didnt even give her anything for the pain. we switched pediatricians and hospitals. Best choice we made fro her. the Dr couldnt believe she was sent home and not even kept over night. even more shocked when they found out we got told she was OK and nothing was abnormal! Luckily GSMC got her better and taken care of. Again the nursing staff were nice but not good Dr nurses get 5 stars!

NO Valet parking!! NOT enough Handicap parking!!! On 6-28-2017 I was with one of my daughters when she had surgery with an overnight stay. Once again handycap parking was inadiquit. Because of more construction some of the signage was wrong inside. Thankfully some of the employees were very helpful!! The distance I had to walk was a problem for me & was obvious! They would stop their work, get a wheelchair and take me where I needed to go. They were a lifesaver for me and I really appreciate their help & assistance!!

ER IS GREAT. Registrar was good, I was triaged quickly, and Dr Kelly came in promptly, was very thorough, and solved my problem. To the other reviewers who werent satisfied: THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ROOM. Broken fingers/colds/broken toes/flu/strep/congestion/ect do not fall under that category and those things can be treated at an urgent care clinic. I have worked in an ER before and some people have no problem complaining about wait time/care when there are critical patients that need the staff more than you.

I have chronic pain and am in between pain management. I am constantly in severe pain and have to go to the ER for pain relief more often than I would like to admit. For the most part the Drs have been decent on the other hand here lately I have been treated pretty crappy and left the ET in tears because of very little pain relief or for how the Dr.want to play God. Believe me if I didnt have to go I wouldnt. I HATE how chronic pain patients have to deal with issues of receiving unbiased treatment!
