I wouldnt take my pet to them! I had an appointment at noon and arrived at 11:45. I took my paperwork to the front desk and the office manager told me it was too late to see the dentist because they go to lunch at 1. So she told me I had to come back at 4. I came back at 3 and still had to wait for 2 hours before I was taken to the back. I was told my tooth couldnt be saved and had to be pulled. They had trouble getting my tooth out. I have TMJ and they popped my jaws out 3 to 4 times. I had a massive migraine the next day because of the stress to my jaws. I had horrible pain for days and the hole where my tooth was turned black. I called the office number and got an answering service and was transferred 3 times and finally spoke to the office. I went to the office on Mon. 8/31/15. The dentist put dry socket pack in the hole and decided to put a stitch in to help keep the tissue that was torn while pulling the tooth. The dentist didnt deaden all the area. I had tears running down my cheeks from the pain shots because they put the shots in the same area that the prior shots were. They didnt use any topical numbing medicine before giving me shots both times. I hit the chair because I was in excruciating pain! So I felt every stitch being sewn and the last stitch didnt have any numbing medicine and I told the dentist and she said that she didnt deaden the area because of my blood pressure. They printed up a bill that they were sending to my insurance and I noticed they billed for X-rays. I made them take off the charge for the X-rays since I didnt have any X-rays. The office manager said they couldnt charge for something that I didnt have done. If I didnt look at my bill they would have charged for services that werent preformed. And they wondered why I had high blood pressure. They were the cause of it! I wont go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have gone to Kool Smiles with both of my children for the last few years and Friday February 19th was a horrific experience there!!! Up until now our visit have always been pretty much okay, not the best I have ever had...But overall an acceptable experience. My daughter is about to get braces and we are NOT using Kool Smiles for a few very good reasons, #1, They do not have an orthodontist on hand 24-7 which made me feel little uneasy and #2, I originally was going to use them but twice they have rescheduled my ortho-consultation. Took her in to have her last baby tooth puled which she has already had a few pulled at Kool Smiles, never yet had we had a terrifying experience....Gave her the novacane shot and not a quarter of a second later the dentist was telling her she was only feeling to she if she was yet numb, which my daughter told her several times to stop she wasnt yet numb, not only did she NOT feel for numbness she applied to forceps immediately and started yanking, pulling and twisting at the tooth while I held her hands and watched tears roll down her face. She finally became NUMB AFTER we were at the checkout counter about 15 minutes LATER. I have never had a dentist NOT allow the novacane to start working and allow the patient to have discomfort prior, during and after a procedure. She is terribly bruised and swollen!!!!!!!!! So, I feel that maybe due to us using a different orthodontist perhaps the abuse was taken out on my 12 year olds mouth. Just know up until now we had pretty much decent visits, but after this it is frightening to ever step foot into Kool Smiles again!!!!

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. While the cost was very cheap with my (non-Medicaid) insurance, the dentists there dont care about your comfort. I went in because of an emergency tooth ache that was excruciatingly painful (worse than giving birth) and was denied any antibiotics or pain medication. I was told to take over the counter pain meds as if I had not ALREADY TRIED that. So I went back the next day to have the tooth SURGICALLY extracted out of desperation - one of my rear teeth it was huge and while the nurse before assured me that I would leave with a prescription, the second different dr refused AFTER HE tugged on my mouth for 10 min to pull out the tooth. He told me again to take OTC meds. When I left the nurse at the front desk had to give me care instructions and asked if I got my prescription and I told her that the Dr wouldnt give me one and I didnt understand. Was it that the Dr gets a freaking bonus from my plan to not give me a prescription???? Bottom line - these folks are all about the money - no wonder they told me my son needed an outrageous amount of crowns in his mouth at the age of 4 when the teeth would eventually fall out anyways. Not to mention the last time he was there they were not understanding at all with his gag reflex. Dont take your kids here - there are all sorts of other dentists in town that you can chose from. They were seemingly friendly but seriously I dont come for friendly people, im in freaking pain, I want it to go away!

I took my son in December. After having no issues at all. All of a sudden he has two cavities that are so bad he needed crowns. (Hes been going to the dentist every 6 months since he was 2, no sign of a cavity EVER) So I make an appointment and they Crown both teeth. Fast forward 3 months and the crown has fallen off. I take my son to another dentist for a second opinion and was told the crown came off because it was the wrong size. After coming off you could see in my sons mouth, an open sore from where the crown was OVER his gum. So I called Kool Smiles to give them the chance to fix their mistake. I had to work so my mother went in my place. My son was put in a room with no t.v. and no distraction. The dr and assistant were told to him gas, but refused. My son freaked out and wouldnt let them work on him. So Dr. Honey Balazedah who goes by "Dr. B" just put the same over sized Crown back on. When I called to express my dissatisfication. "Dr. B" just kept insisting that I never went to dental school so I didnt know what I was talking about. She belittled me and told me how she "didnt like me". Several times I was placed " on hold" while the workers laughed and mocked me. (They didnt know I could hear them bc the phone wasnt actually on hold) I was also told many times to just take him to another dentist. That would have been fine if it wouldnt cost me over $200 for a mistake they made. Terrible place, terrible people. Dont go there.

Recently visited Kool Smiles on 6/6/2014, and I was very disappointed with my wait time. I arrived 10 minutes late for a 0945 appointment. However, I did call the office to ask if I needed to reschedule since I was running 10 minutes behind. The office personnel stated there was no need to reschedule because they allowed up to 15 minutes for being late. I actually arrived at 0955. After checking in and submitting paperwork and insurance information, I noticed several clients were being called to the back and being released and we had not been called. I asked receptionist what the hold up was considering we sat in lobby for an hour and a half without an apology or confirmation of what was going on. The receptionist informed me that the insurance had verified one of my children and not the other one, in which i find it hard to believe considering it is the same insurance for both children. Finally after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes we were called to the back and from there, an additional wait time of 20 minutes before being seen in examination are..I do hope this matter doesnt happen again or we will seek other dentistry. Otherwise the dentist and staff in examination room were nice and knowledgeable. The office personnel and receptionist could be a little more compassionate.
