This is not an "angry customer" review. This is my genuine experience here. Take it for what you will. When I found this place, I was happy with with them being able to help with pain I was having from wisdom teeth removal so I went back here for my check up instead of my old dentist. They told me that it appears I grind on my front two teeth and should get a filling added to them to protect them from the wear. I went in to get two cavities filled as well as have the filling added to the front teeth for protection. After getting my cavities filled, they began grinding down my front tooth and I stopped them. (at this point the dentist just walked out for about 15-20min to work on other patients) I told his assistant that I would prefer not doing the other one because I did not know they were going to be grinding down my healthy teeth in order to "protect" them. I insisted that I wanted to wait and see how the one turned out (not that I had a choice since they already started it). Shortly afterwords, I began to feel cold sensitivity/pain from cold air or cold drinks etc, on and off for the next few weeks. I decided to go in to hopefully have the issue addressed, they said they didnt see anything wrong with it and perhaps that tooth was hitting before my other front tooth. They felt even to me and I expressed that but they shaved off a bit of the filling anyways (now it feels slightly uneven) and said to let them know if I was still in pain in a month or so. The dentist told me that it could have been from hitting my tooth years ago and my root could be going bad now. I told him that I just cant understand how my tooth felt perfectly fine before they did anything to it and now Im having these issues and that I understand grinding down a tooth thats rotted w/a cavity but it doesnt make sense to me to grind down a tooth that is not rotted at all. He told me it took years of dental school for him to understand it and asked if I was "accusing him of doing something wrong". I explained that it just doesnt seem right to grind down a tooth that isnt rotted and if I had known thats what they were going to do, I wouldnt have let them, especially since now my tooth that felt fine before is having issues but as I turned around, he was walking out of the room. I understand walking away to avoid getting angry but that just felt very unprofessional. The assistant turned to me and told me that "it was to protect the tooth" and I told her "yes, but now it is messed up". Bottom line, I am the one that has to live with this tooth and I pray it will get better with time. I dont feel they were professional or treated me right but I only hope they learn from this and understand that disclosing plans of grinding out a healthy tooth should be important and is not the same as grinding a rotten one and that hopefully they learn a better way to handle a patients concerns rather than getting defensive and walking away. Until then, if you go here, ask questions before its too late..

Let me start by saying I absolutely LOVE the staff! All of them were so kind and considerate of me and my son. The hygienist could tell I hadnt been to the dentist in a while but never made me feel guilty about not flossing. She just explained why it was important and encouraged both my son and I to do it more often. She was also so kind and patient with my 9 year old son who wiggled a bit. The girls at the front were amazing and able to help me figure out an affordable action plan to get my mouth healthy again. However, in returning to my first appointment, to get a few extractions done the dentist had a hard time removing one in the back and couldnt get the second one numbed enough to pull. So he referred me to an oral surgeon. The plan we had agreed on comprised of an upper and lower partial denture. After meeting with the oral surgeon I was shocked to find out that the dentist wanted to take all of my top teeth and give me a full denture on the top. I was devastated, shocked and completely embarrassed. Still I had already made an appointment for my son to have an exam, so we returned to the office. After the cleaning, the dentist spent about five minutes going over my sons teeth and decided to refer HIM to a specialist for a few FILLINGS.....I was furious and even though the staff is amazing, as far as my experience goes....the dentist is not. I went to another dentist today who numbed me right up and got the tooth pulled in 20 min. After weeks of dealing with this pain its finally gone! No oral surgery or anesthetic needed :-) Unless you want to be referred to a specialist that will charge you an arm and a leg....I would NOT recommend this dentist.

I had a great experience at Genesis Dental in Magna. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and took their time to help me feel at ease. I was presented with different options for treatment and didnt feel pressured into one way or another. I appreciate the fact that they have bilingual (Spanish) staff as well.

I had been in such pain all weekend and I call Genesis Dental of Magna and they gave me the soonest appointment they had. They took x-rays and the dentist told me what I was basically knew, that my wisdom tooth had to come out, this is what was causing me the pain. Instead of have me come back on a different day (as I had taken off that day from work to get it taken care of) they gave me a time to come back that same day to have the procedure done. I was so glad that they took the time to accommodate me. I dont get paid for the days I take off. I came back and the dentist and their assistants are all so nice and will do anything to make you comfortable. The dentist told me through the process what to expect and I appreciated that. I would go back here and recommend others to this facility. Thank you Genesis and all the employees for such a good experience.

I had my first appointment there yesterday due to severe pain from a few infected teeth. I am a new patient and they were able to fit me in the same day. They made me feel calm and comfortable in an otherwise unpleasant situation. I now have a plan laid out to get my mouth healthy again with approximate out of pocket costs. They turned something frightening into something I can get excited about and I am so grateful.

The staff are the most unprofessional people I have ever uncounted talking about people dental work and how ugly they are and how they stink the dentist work and how they hate working with them I think they need to get a job flipping burgers or in a construction site since their manners do go hand in hand with street wise man,not an educated woman thats if they have any education whats so ever
