Im not the type of person to only complain in reviews, but this practice really takes the cake for poor patient care and blatant attempts to make as much money as possible for as little care as possible. Dr. Askar has been my doctor since I left my pediatrician, and I am now in my late twenties. However, I will never return to him after the decline in care has reached such a low and the series of recent failures on this offices part. He has two offices that he switches between over the week, taking full loads of patients at both that could be considered such an overload that it inhibits his ability to do his job properly for any of his patients. His office overbooks beyond the industry standard with wait times that multiple patients have walked out on, waiting 45 minutes or more past the appointment time. His office staff have been inappropriate with their personal conversations around young children and do not have an open and proper line of communication between the two offices. The nail in the coffin so to speak: after insisting that my mother (also his patient) take a series of expensive tests as quickly as possible to determine if a serious and potentially fatal condition exists, he has consistently dodged correspondence from her. Of course, my irritation is strengthened because of this, but the other issues existed long before this. My family just had yet to be overly burned by the bad policies of the office. He is a horribly perfect example of the way some doctors overwhelm themselves for profit, and I urge anyone reading this and contemplating using him to look elsewhere for better care.

Im not sure if this is a low income Doctors office or what but DO NOT go here. They do not know the meaning of HIPPA. The patients seem like they are all pill seekers and one actually screamed at the nurses to get more anxiety meds. The staff is rude and doesnt care at all about making you feel comfortable. I waited 3 hours here when I had an appointment and kept getting shuffled around in different waiting rooms with no explanation. Had to give a urine sample in a disgusting bathroom, where they just have other urine samples sitting in there. They make you write your name on the sample with the ONLY pen in there which everyone else uses, disgusting! The doctor breezed in and saw me for 3 minutes and barely had any time to listen to my issues. Once you see him you wait in line with other patients while someone else writes our a prescription and announces it in front of everyone else. The office manager is a joke and cant even manage to fill out FMLA paperwork correctly. It took her over a month to fill out a few lines of info and I had to fax over medical records 4 times before they "found" them. The worst experience Ive ever had with any medical professional.

Do not recommend to anyone!! If it were a possibility to give negative stars, I WOULD! To begin, even with a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT plan on waiting 2 to 3 and 1/2 hours at the minimum! And this is after your scheduled appointment time!! No exaggerations! The office is dirty, and the office staff is rude, slow, and sloppy looking!! Not to mention every staff person working there, (besides the actual doctor), act like you (the patient) are the ones putting them out!! Totally ridiculous. Not to mention, dont even bother having a prescription called into your pharmacy, cause the lazy staff here will make sure that NEVER gets called in! I couldnt take it anymore and had to walk out and find a new primary care physician, because going to the doctor shouldnt be this stressful for the patient.

Ive been a patient for over 14 years, my husband and I see Dr askar and my kids see Dr Rumanni. I had called the office in Aug 2016 and had requested they send a referral to my specialists that I had been seeking for over 2 years because my new insurance needs that referral for me to continue seeing him. I had an appointment for the specialist in October but wanted to take care of this as soon as possible. I went to my specialist and later that day, they called and told me they never received the referral! I called Dr askars office and they told me they didnt do it because I have not been seen within the last 3 years. I never received a call telling me about this back in August! I called to complain and all I got was a sorry but youre not an active patient!

I have had nothing but good experience with Dr Askar besides the waiting time, which is atrocious. I wouldnt call him a "pain" doc as it took me over a year to get prescribed something stronger than motrin for my arthritis in my knee and even then it was only tramadol. Every time I have been hospitalized, Dr Askar or Lilly have been there for me in the hospital to check up on me which I thought was great. All in all I really like his staff even if there is a long wait or lack of communication between me and the staff when I call. Ive been through 3 doctors since Medicaid kicked in and he is the best, great bedside manner from him and his associates, which is whats important, Ive recommended to others.

Awful dr! Dr Askar & his staff are rude and uncaring. As long as you have employer insurance he treats you like the plague. Now if youre looking for a dr to push narcotics & over bill Medicaid & Medicare then hes all you need. He prescribes so many narcotics that hes afraid of work mans comp. They also triple book so plan to be there 3 hours for the dr to only spend 10 minutes talking to you with zero compassion.

DR.Askar.is such a great doctor and he listens to you when tell him what going on , i love the staff very nice and always a friendly smile they take time to make sure you taken care of been going here 9 years wouldnt. want to change doctors. thank you for all you do frances Byrne .

Like every other pain medicine doctor, hes out to steal your money and keep you addicted. He doesnt give a damn if you become psychotic, end up in a hospital and remain delusional and erratic! Stay away from this doctor. If you care about your mind, body and soul, he is evil!

The wait time is ridiculous. I had an appointment at 1pm, wasnt seen until 3pm and then I was put in an exam room until 4pm when I finally saw the doctor for 2 minutes. Total disregard or compassion for their patients. I have never been to such an incompetent medical facility.

The wait times are ridiculous. You wait so long it starts to feel rude !! I had a 3 pm appointment and at 5:30 I am still here with nothing but vitals done. Im currently looking for another doctor because clearly this one is over scheduling for monetary reasons

Everyone in the office is rude & disrespectful. Their just out to get your money!!!! RUN!!!!!!!!!!! They violate hippa & leave charts open with personal information. Just NASTY ppl!!! Its scary to know that ppl like them still exsist!!! Dont waste your time!!
