If I could give zero starts I would. I have been a patient here for two years. First off, if you wake up sick and try to reschedule they will give you a signature phrase " Well we wear masks and gloves, wed like you to still make it to your apt." I reply with " Im vomiting and very mucus-y. I also am taking into consideration that other patients might have a weakened immune system and arent able to catch my sickness, as it may be fatal for them .?" They will still expect you to show up, disregarding that they could harm someone. (After my treatment I watched as I stood at the billing counter to watch if they SANITIZED my chair for the next person. They did not, they changed the plastic on my head rest and changed the tools on the counter. AFTER I TOLD THEM I WAS CONTAGIOUS) On top of that, they do not listen. The hygienist was scraping my teeth claiming that I had some residual cement from braces 10+ years ago. I cringe and shriek in pain, because it HURTS. She asks concerned if Im always this sensitive? I tell her no I do not have sensitive teeth, but to just scrape that off so vigorously is very painful, and Id prefer the doc to file it off. We proceed with things as normal and she stops scraping my teeth. Five minutes later the doc walks in sits me back and our hygienist makes a comment "Be careful shes really sensitive" Excuse me. I just told you that YOU were causing me pain, I am not sensitive in my mouth. I corrected her and let the doc know she was hurting me, he acknowledged that he would file it, but did not pay any attention to his hygienist deliberately causing my pain. When it comes to basic dental work, theyll do it for you, at top dollar. but when it comes to building trust with your dentist and a relationship, I would try somewhere else fist. I also second the review down below with the mouth guard as they were doing almost the exact same thing to me. I bought one and they continuously try to tell me I need one. Maybe they forget to make notes on the file. Maybe they dont care enough to listen to their patients. *I called the main line to ask to make a formal complaint and was informed that there is no HR or Manager for the whole office. There are the girls and the dentists and you are not given any place to make a complaint. Reviews are the only way, apparently.

I have been going to this dentist for about two years. I chose them because of the sweet perks, paraffin hand wax, scented eye mask, good teeth cleaning flavors... well, Ive always been dubious about their pricing. I felt like they were always trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible (Probably the scented eye mask). They told me over and over I needed a night guard. I got one, and then they continued to tell me I needed one... I told them I had one, and they would get all fumbly and say, "ah yes! Its working so well!". This stupid night guard was $500 with insurance, and they couldnt even tell that I had been using it for six months?! They also bombard you with confirmation emails, calls and texts. Like, ten a visit. Its the worst. 9am on a Saturday, they dont care, got to call an conform that appointment, 7pm on Thursday, got to text about that appointment! I even cancelled my appointment and got two more notifications for that appointment. Two. More. In one day. I had to call again and re-cancel. But my biggest peeve, the one that got me to never come back, and inspire this review, was during a cleaning, they ripped out a filling and pretended it didnt happen. Then, when I called and told them what they had done, they blamed it on my tooth grinding and tried to sell me a bumholing sleep guard (the very one I already had!) and would not replace the filling. Seriously?! Done and done. They had zero empathy, they do not stand behind their work, and their work is shoddy at best. Go somewhere without the frills and just get your teeth cleaned. Youll be happier in the wallet.

I was a foothill dental patient for about two years. Each time I would visit they would tell me I had periodontal disease in my gums and therefore, needed a deeper (more expensive) cleaning. The cleaning was painful and invasive. Each time I would leave feeling frustrated that my gums were not improving. After one visit I had a serious infection and my face blew up like Will Smiths in the movie hitch after he has a serious allergic reaction. After two years of pain and discouragement, my insurance policy changed and I had to switch dentists. I explained to my new dentist my past experience and asked if my gums had improved. He said, "You in no way shape or form have or have had periodontal disease. Your teeth and gums are in perfect condition. Unfortunately, some dental hygienists work on commission and press getting a deeper cleaning for extra money or dentists con patients into thinking they have gum disease when they really dont, again for the extra pay cut." I was so upset I almost started crying. After two years of being charged a ridiculous amount of money for a painful deep cleaning, I didnt need and being told I had gum disease... NONE OF IT WAS TRUE!!! Do not go here, or if you do get a second opinion about your gums before paying for a deep cleaning.

I dont often take the time to write reviews. However, there are rare and very special occasions when the experiences I have with certain people and businesses compels me to share. The experience I had during my visit to Foothill Dental definitely falls under the category of "rare and very special." Brooke is one of the top 5 best dental hygienists I have ever had working on my teeth (she may even be THE best). Here are just a few reasons why: 1. After asking me a question she politely takes out the instruments so I can answer without spitting all over myself (keeping my dignity intact). 2. When she sees that the water she has been using to rinse my teeth is dripping down my cheek, she quickly wipes it away before it gets to my hairline. 3. When she found out that I preferred tooth polish that had no flavor (which isnt one they offer), she scoured the office in search for some in preparation for my arrival and then set it aside, labeling it for my use only. 4. *Most Importantly* She laughs at my jokes (this is not why my experience falls under the "rare" category). I have and will continue to refer anyone and everyone I know who is looking for a new dentist (and not because of their really great referral program). Go check them out!

Ive been to Foothill Dental a total of four times. Each time the staff was very nice and helpful and I liked the way they cleaned my teeth. What I hated was the fact that each time I visited I was told I needed to pay for something ridiculous that I did not need. The first few times it was an electric toothbrush that cost hundreds of dollars because I had one tooth, each time it was a different tooth, toward the back of my mouth where the gum line was slightly receding. Then the last time they claimed I needed a procedure done where they laser your gum to build up scar tissue so your gum line isnt receding. All for one tooth and once again it was a different tooth than they had talked about the previous time. I dont remember what the exact quote was on that procedure, only that it was hundreds of dollars. I have since found a fabulous dentist who does just as good of a job cleaning my teeth and isnt a dishonest salesman.
