“I had been to Sandy Rehab before, but my experience was quite different. The addition of Brian Terry, as Director and DPT, has made a monumental impact on the Outpatient clinic. It is now a very welcoming and tranquil setting- primarily due to his recent remodel of the whole clinic. The therapy itself has also dramatically improved. I have had therapy several other times, but this time was different. In prior PT settings, I felt like a number. I would see the Physical Therapist for the evaluation, and then be handed off to other assistants and aids, spending a lot of time by myself in a room waiting for timers to go off. It was not personalized and I found myself highly unmotivated to do exercises at home and follow up on what I had been doing; however, Brian is well spoken, well educated, charismatic, and has an ability to give everyone his full attention. I was impressed that he got in the water with me and really spent some time showing me the exercises. He pays close attention to form and makes sure you are getting the most out of each exercise. He pushes some, listens and modifies exercises based on what patients need, and truly cares about everyone he treats with a unique and creative approach. I cannot say enough about the impact Sandy Outpatient, the pool, and Brian Terry have had on my life. I have lost 100 pounds so far and have gained a healthier lifestyle, and feel so much better. The differences in my original injury, past injuries, psyche, self confidence, and fitness level are immeasurable. I have less stress and am able to perform at a higher level in all aspects of my life. Try the pool! You won’t regret it.” ~ Janna Hambor

I have had the pleasure of doing my physical therapy at this facility since October 2015. I had a lumbar disc decompression and subsequent 3 level fusion. It was a very painful and difficult procedure. Upon visiting Sandy Physical Therapy, I could see how this discipline of physical therapy would be perfect for my recovery. The constant water temperature, in itself is soothing, but the therapy that occurs insures less stress on joints and on muscular and skeletal disabilities. This facility has an environment that is conducive for a more holistic approach to healing. When the body is good, the mind is better and your overall well being is better. I am a young senior at 69 and my mobility is important to me. I use this facility even when the physical therapy has stopped. I have tools to keep me moving with less pain. Brian and Jessica and all the teachers who conduct classes, thank you for your passion and dedication to healing. LeAnn

I have now worked with Sandy Aquatics two separate times for my chronic back problems and I am so happy with the way Brian, Jessica and Kammi have worked with me. My problems are not going to go away, but they have given me the tools I need to manage my pain and sometimes Im able to be pain free. The warm water is soothing, and because I am able to visit with other patients (past and present) using the pool I have made friends with others who share similar issues and understand what I am experiencing, which is also nice. I also like that "land" or traditional therapy is also available. Brian, Jessica and Kammi are knowledgeable, compassionate, and fun to work with. Of all the therapists and places I have tried over the years, this is my absolute favorite. I DEFINATELY recommend Sandy Aquatics to everyone who needs physical therapy!

When I started coming to Sandy Physical Therapy and Aquatics, I had terrible balance, constant severe pain and movement problems on my right side. I have attended physical therapy here 3 times a week for the last 2 months and have seen a huge change in each of these areas. My chronic pain has greatly diminished, I am getting my balance back quickly and my movement issues are more under control than they have ever been. Doing physical therapy in the heated pool makes the exercises much easier and soothes the pain. The doctors and staff are wonderful! I have always felt at ease and comfortable while I am there. Their knowledge and expertise are outstanding. If you need physical therapy, I HIGHLY recommend Sandy Physical Therapy and Aquatics!

I have been coming to Sandy Aquatics for many years. I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet and the only exercise that works for me is in the water. The pool here is exactly what I need. The water is warm and therapeutic, there are many types of equipment to aid a workout, and the staff is wonderful. Brian Terry is my physical therapist, and he is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He has presented me with a variety of exercises and has developed a specialized treatment which has been a godsend for my neuropathy symptoms. I also come to the pool on my own and go to some of the evening classes. This really is a fabulous place!

After five previous surgeries I wish I had known of the services I have just experienced following my recent knee surgery and compact fracture of my spine. The healing time in the spa pool has been quicker with less pain and provided far greater mobility in less time than I experienced with any of the previous recuperations. I have to drive a distance to access the pool and wish there was one in Utah County, but the improvement has been so significantly beneficial, I will make the trip. Thanks for building this amazingly helpful therapy option and thanks to my Dr for the referral.

Posted for Dave Markus: I had a total knee replacement last December. The surgery went well, but my rehab didnt. In 4 weeks I made little improvement and had a lot of pain. So I switched to Sandy Physical Therapy and Aquatics, where Brian Terry and his staff have made my life good again. I have a lot less pain, and a lot more movement now. I can also walk and get around again. I would recommend them to anyone who has any kind of joint surgery, as well as anyone who just has a hard time moving or exercising. Thank you Brian for making life good for me again! ~Dave Markus

I have been doing physical therapy with Brian since February 2016. During this time I have had both hips replaced due to chronic, degenerative arthritis. The physical therapy that I did before my first surgery enabled me to be strong enough after the surgery to easily manage tasks like shifting positions in bed and getting up and around. I am currently 10 weeks out from having the second hip replaced and am thrilled with my outcome. I am nearly pain free. I am getting stronger each day and am able to do things that I havent done in several years. Thanks Brian!
