I saw Dr. Cox for neck pain. It took several visits (and was quite expensive given that they didnt accept Aetna) but the issue was finally resolved. I was impressed that Dr. Cox called me at home the first evening after I saw him to check on how I was doing and if the pain had decreased. That level of care and concern is rare in the medical profession. I also appreciate that whenever I call to schedule an appointment, the staff make every effort to get me in as soon as possible. I have never waited long in the office and the office runs quite professionally. Those are the strengths. I give the Cox Clinic only 3 stars for two reasons. First, they can see so many patients because they only spend 5 minutes with you (10 at the most). The adjustments are done quickly and you get the feeling of being rushed through like youre on an assembly line. When you are paying $60 for each visit at the low end, I expected more than a cursory treatment. Sometimes I felt they needed to do more adjusting and more investigating of the problem. The second reason I give only an "okay" rating is that on numerous occasions, Dr. Cox has been somewhat condescending, making comments that diminish the symptoms I was having or my knowledge about what those symptoms mean. Yes, hes the doctor but he sometimes arrives at his diagnosis after barely hearing what Ive had to say. Hes also somewhat gender problematic and Ive noticed this on several occasions. I cant list all the examples here but just this morning after I told him I was relocating away from Cville, he said "Your husband is taking a new job?" Ummm, no, actually I am moving to take a position at an Ivy League school as a professor. Really, in 2012?? That kind of assumption is unnecessary and leaves patients feeling diminished.

I had never gone to a chiropractor in my life, however a herniated disc and my primary care doctor telling me to just deal with it and it would be better eventually made me eager to try it. Dr. Fusco and all the employees have been wonderful. Dr. Fusco took the time to explain my x-rays, what was wrong, whether he could help me, and what the plan was. In less than two months my pain was lessened, and in six months the pain was gone. Im currently at 8 months and Id say Im back up to 95-100%, from barely being able to walk and not being able to put my shoes on in the mornings. Dr. Fusco is a great guy to talk to and all of the staff at Cox Chiropractic are very kind, polite and efficient. I dont think in the eight months Ive been going there Ive ever had to wait before my appointment for longer than two minutes before being seen, usually Im in and out of there in about 30 minutes. Highly recommended!

Dr. Cox and his staff are the most kind and compassionate group of people I have had the privilege of meeting. I have been seeing him for 5 years now. They are always very accommodating when I need to be seen. This group of people have at times seen me at my very worst. They are always truly concerned about their patients. I have never had a doctor call to check on me at home. They make you feel as though you are a part of a family and not just another name on a chart. I am very thankful to be a part of such a wonderful practice.

Dr. Cox is the first chiropractor who actually figured out what was causing my discomfort. He is very knowledgeable, caring and kind. His staff is friendly, professional and efficient and greet me by name! Its a pleasure to come into the office and I dont have to spend all day there to get seen. They even have hours after my normal work day so I dont have to leave early. I highly recommend the Cox Clinic.

I saw Dr Cox for the first time last year after I injured my back. I had never been to a chiropractor before and didnt know what to expect. He was incredibly nice and extremely informative. Everyone in the office was genuinely nice and concerned for my well being. I didnt enjoy my experience with this clinic. The office staff was surprisingly rude and everyone was a bit pushy. Im glad other people had nice experiences but after a few visits I wont be going back. I also received a mistaken diagnosis, since corrected by another doctor and clinic.
