I’ve had the opportunity to work with Julie Wilcox on two different levels. I’ve been her coworker as a clinical supervisor at a mental health agency for several years; overseeing the provision of home based services. For the past two years, she has been my clinical supervisor as I work towards becoming an LCSW. Julie is undoubtedly one of the best social workers I’ve met in my life. She is truly awesome!! Julie always puts clients first and ensures that they are receiving the best care possible. She remains person-centered with her treatment and practices a multitude of core social work principles daily. She is a solid advocate for clients and does all that she can to ensure clients are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. She is an excellent trainer on an array of topics. She’s trained us on cultural competency; conducting assessments; crisis services; and trauma-focused treatment, to name a few. She is hands-on and spares you the boredom of PowerPoint presentations. Julie’s very creative regarding training and interventions that she provides and she teaches her colleagues how to use them too. In my experience as her supervisee, Julie has taught me so much. She taught me how to sharpen my assessment skills; improve my clinical writing; interpret the DSM5 and give accurate diagnoses; to process my approaches with clients; to increase my self-awareness and be the best that I can be – live practice for the exam. The list goes on and on. Julie’s a great social worker and excellent clinician. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist or a clinical supervisor.

After 5 months of positive experience (with many more to come) Thriveworks and Dr. John Sears have consistently exceeded expectations. Dr. Sears is a highly skilled, well read therapist. He has a great sense of humor while being keenly serious when needed. Because of his diverse background, he not only offers personal stories, but interesting insights based on studies, theories, and reliable, valid data. Dr. Sears is a compassionate, caring therapist and not afraid to show emotion and genuine concern. I have NEVER had a doctor in his field take the time to e-mail or call, even on weekends, to see how things are going - but HE does! He will sacrifice and make himself available to you if necessary. He goes above and beyond! Equally important, he knows the right questions to ask, at the right time, in the right way that promotes self discovery and growth. Hes also has the courage to ask the tough questions to get issues out on the table that must be addressed in order to move on. Lastly, Dr. Sears helps in realistic goal setting - goals that are out of reach but not unreachable because as he says, his role is to promote sustainable healthy lives so there is an end point to counseling and he is willing engage you every step of the way until that is achieved. I would highly recommend Dr. John Sears to anyone seriously interested in healthy lives and healthy relationships.

I wish there was a lower level than one star! I NEVER even went to see anyone here - the service I experienced BEFORE my appointment was appalling. I got 3 charges to my debit card of $99 each! I was never told ANY of these charges would happen. I had to reschedule my appointment because my 2 year old was sick. I was told it was fine and I would not be charged a cancellation fee. I was told the other two $99 charges were for their patient subscription service! Ive never heard of such a thing!! Then, I call and Im put on hold for 20 minutes at a time with NO help! Then Im told they have to talk to the owner (who I apparently am not allowed to speak with). They refunded ONE of the charges but not the other 2 fraudulent charges. I am disputing these with my bank as they are NOT authorized at all and they are 100% fraudulent. What a despicable business practice. Im filing complaints with the BBB and my insurance company as well!! RUN RUN RUN away! Do NOT EVER give them your credit/debit card information! They will use it however they want and not care the effect it has on you!!!!! Completely horrible and unethical! RUN AWAY! (I also told them If they resolved this matter, I would NOT post a negative review, but they choose to ignore this request, so here I go!)

I wanted to let you know that we have worked with Ms Katy Webb for almost 4 months and she has been a blessing for our family. She is not just a therapist, but somebody that is involved in the progress and full well-being of the individual. She reviews every angle and is precise on her diagnosis. Our son has made very good progress with her. He is starting to become more independent in his life as well as in his appointments. He has never been able to sit by himself in an appointment before (because of his high separation anxiety) but he will sit with Katy Webb. Also, Ms. Webb helped us confirm a medical diagnosis that was missed by collaborating closely with my sons primary care doctor. Now we can help help my son feel better because hes being treated with the right medicine. My son is making good strides in the social support group and is not as afraid of peers or friends anymore. He enjoys going to her support group gatherings and enjoys the activities/snacks she has for them. We love to work with her and she is a really awesome person.

I am a Pre-School teacher for students with Autism and an advocate for all individuals with disabilities. I am a wife, a daughter, and a friend. I began my adventure with Christie Blaylock at Thriveworks about a year ago beginning as marriage counselling for my husband and I and then it turned into the best thing I could have ever done for MYSELF. I have learned to heal from my past, live for my future, and love myself. I expect more out of my life and know I deserve more than what I have received from everyone around me. The most important person is learning and and has benefited from my experience at Thriveworks. I will continue with my healing adventure here. I understand being apprehensive when it comes to counseling...trust me. I was one of them. I highly recommend this Christie and this organization for the help you need, the understanding you desire, and the ear to listen. Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family. -Lindsay

Thriveworks is an excellent organization with highly trained mental health professionals to help people get through life challenges. The staff there are professional, approachable, and are passionate about helping people get through their particular situation. The great thing about this organization is their ability to see people within 24 hours!!!!!!!! Wow!! Who does that? It’s good to know a place to call when you are in need of a listening ear as oppose to waiting a few weeks for an appointment. All the counselors are approachable and have the ability to establish rapport fairly quickly. The setting is very relaxing and makes you feel like you are in a comfortable living room. I would highly recommend Thriveworks to individuals seeking counseling or life coaching services.

I have had the pleasure of working with LCSW, Jenny Warne as her intern. She is a very accomplished and professional social worker with a large knowledge base in counseling. Her empathetic and understanding nature really set her apart from other working professionals I have encountered, and I truly believe that she is a valuable asset to the social work profession in that she will work her hardest to serve her clients by providing the highest quality of support and resources. Jenny maintains a very constructive and articulate demeanor which, has served to teach me as a growing professional, how to conduct myself as a social worker. I can only hope to exhibit some of the great qualities Jenny has passed on to me so that I may serve future clients.
