We took my son in for an appointment and were prescribed a nebulizer treatment. We asked for a prescription for something stronger because these treatment have not worked well in past. It was a couple days before Christmas and our niece has a immune disorder and its best for her not to be around sick kids. Dr. Sprinkle says "I guess he wont see his cousin". A week later we call for another prescription and are told Dr. sprinkle is out of the office for a week and no other doctors will call one in. Tell us we have to pay for another office visit. Next visit 7 days later from first visit I am told by Dr. Becker its not the same cough/cold he has had for the last week and now its a new virus. Two minutes later she is telling me that she cant say if its the same because she didnt treat him prior. Told two different statement within one conversation. I questioned her on it and I was told "I hope you find what you are looking for". Last I asked if we take our child to urgent care and they are faxed paper work do they follow up. She said "yes". My son scratched his eye a couple weeks prior and we had to go to a primary urgent care. They asked us his primary dr and we told them. I told her that they never followed up with us at all and she replies"they never sent us anything". She didnt even leave the room to check file. I feel this office is full of liars. They seem to be worried about collecting office visits fees more than the well being of my children. Dr. Becker walked out of office. I asked are we done she says "yes" and I asked if I need a prescription and she said "no". I was not even told where they were faxing it to. Very rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend them at all.

After moving to the area, I had to wait almost 2 months before I could even schedule an appt to establish my children as new patients. I was told that I needed to have their old medical records sent over from their old peds office. I waited 1 month for this. When I called to see if they records had arrived, I was told they had, but were incomplete (since they failed to include every dictated notation every made!) Once I finally got the COMPLETE records sent, and scheduled an appt for routine physicals, I was horrified by the way they treated us. They surprised us with several immunizations for each child (none of which were actually necessary at that time), called my 8-year-old daughter "obese" right in front of her, and told me that my slightly overweight daughter would need several vials of blood drawn for multiple tests to check for things like diabetes. I was not comfortable with the way they strong-armed me into unnecessary immunizations and blood tests. I found a new pediatrician who said my daughter is not OBESE, and no blood tests are needed. SIX months AFTER going to this practice, I got a bill in the mail for over $1000 from them. Someone in their office messed up and didnt file the insurance claim properly and in a timely manner, so my insurance company declined to pay them. They tried to lay the blame on me, telling me my insurance card was expired and had the wrong member ID # on it. But thats simply not true and my insurance co. told them as much. The jokes on them because I am not liable for their sloppy mistakes. I will NEVER step foot in this practice again, and encourage others to seek out other practices in the area.

We have had amazing experiences in the Lees Hill office. We have been seeing Dr. OBrien for the last 9 months. She is always informative and takes her time with all of her patients. We switched from Pratt to this office because we wanted someone who actually listened to our concerns and did something, which Dr. OBrien did, as my daughter had a horrible time gaining weight and we were breastfeeding. She never once suggested formula until I brought it up. She also wasnt pushy with vaccines as we waited 10 months to get our four year olds shots and it wasnt a problem for her. We wanted an office where we werent there for 2-3 hours like we were at our office before here. We have never spent more then an hour all together in the office and have never waited more then 5 min for us to be called back or to see the doctor. We are currently moving states and Im hating having to leave this office. We just saw Dr. OBrien and her nurse Nicole for the last time yesterday and they were both so sad that we were leaving. We always felt so welcomed in the office. The only complaint would be the office staff. Most of them are extremely rude!!!! Especially the billing department. They tried to say that our insurance wouldnt cover our daughters first few appointments as well visits, which they did so the office ended up owing us money in the end. The only one that was friendly and went out of her way to help us was Cassie at the front desk. She always helped in any way she could.

The office staff is nasty and very unhelpful! I think every time I have gone into an appointment, except the first time, the person checking us in is rude or just plain unfriendly. There is never a HELLO or anything. You sign the sheet and they completely ignore you, even if you have a question and there is NO ONE in the waiting area. I didnt realize that my sons insurance card was only temporary because his looks exactly like mine. When I called to make his 4 month appointment I was told his insurance info was no longer good. I didnt understand the problem and I knew I would have to call the insurance company and fix the issue, but when I asked to make the appointment and call back with his new info, I was told I was not allowed. I know its my responsibility to make sure everything is okay with the insurance, but his appointment wouldnt have been for a month and it was going to be fixed long before that. There was no prior history with anything being unpaid either. The nurses and staff that had seen us DURING the appointments were very nice and helpful. The care he received was good, but I dont want to take him back to an office that cant accommodate us with an appointment. They obviously got all their money from all the prior visits. Its just like day and night in that office and the office staff is the first thing people deal with when they call or make appointments. I dont know if they are underpaid or overworked or what, but something has to be done.

Despite all the negative reviews, we really wanted Preferred Pediatrics at Lee’s Hill to become our new Primary Care Provider for our children as the location was very convenient to our new home. However, upon initially contact via telephone we quickly realized that this office is exactly what many reviews portray it to be – rude and unhelpful. All we simply wanted was a little courtesy and reasonable support with a wellness check-up and a second-series flu vaccination for our little one (doctor stamped and signed vaccine list in hand), while we wait for her medical records to be released from the previous pediatrician’s office. Preferred Pediatrics at Lee’s Hill would not accommodate. The “Preferred Pediatrics” name is very misleading, as it appears that many parents and legal guardians prefer to seek pediatric care elsewhere. Thanks to other Google reviewers, we spared ourselves from any further heartache and took our business 2.3 miles away to KidsChoice Pediatrics on Courthouse Road. They were more than happy to accept our business and accommodate all of our very simple needs and requests. This location should revisit their internal policies, procedures, and/or morale level amongst office staff as unhappiness and contempt is blatantly obvious. This may be an inaccurate reflection among the doctors, but the assistants are directly steering business away from the practice. Such a shame.
