I have been to this office on different occasions for various procedures for myself and my children, each time ALWAYS a wait. I understood because it has always been wall to wall people almost zoo like so I gave allowances for it. I even had them cancel an appointment for my son because we walked in 5 mins late, I understood because one late patient can make or break the days schedule. I even put up with the rude scowling intake lady up front, thinking its a hard job. Today I am just completely done with this practice. I made sure I arrived 15 mins before my appointment at 8am because we had bad roads because of snow, I barely made it out my complex. I was taken back to the room by my Dental Assistant /DA at 8am. She told me I could hang my coat, and she quickly put on the little bib told me Dr would be in shortly and left me…never to return… I sat in that chair for 35 minutes not one soul stepped in that room. I planned for 45-60mins for this appointment knowing how this practice runs, so I would not be late for work. Now 35mins in to my appointment no Dr or anyone in sight and it looked like none were coming in too soon either. I sat there facing the window listening to the background noise behind me, plenty of “busy” DAs running around there chatting in clusters about 50 shades of stupid, plates about lunch, husbands, boyfriends... still not a person popped in to say “oh Dr will be in shortly...running behind...” absolutely NOTHING but stupid banter about non-essential, non-work related and possibly offending topics... I got completely feed up... I know their time is important BUT so is mine...I have a job, kids, sports, errands and little time to squeeze in my essentials through the day to put up with this crap. I removed the bib and went up front, where I was then greeted with a DAs back because she was sitting on the counter talking to the other scheduler/front desk person. They were just chatting away which fumed me even more, not taking a moment to turn to ask if could help me. Then another scheduler walks around corner and finally someone asks if could help me, I then tell her my 35 min wait was more then enough... to where now the DA whos back I was looking at felt the need to turn around to add her rude non-helping statement, “we dont work on you its the Drs that do...” really OMG did you really feel that statement was needed or helpful...that just fumed me more...are you serious?!? It was like I was looking at a snotty little teenage a$$. REALLY!!! I have been in medical field over 20yrs and currently work at a Dr office, I would NEVER leave my patient unattended stranded for that long ever! That is your snotty excuse? I explained that to that young snotty DA and walked out. I would never recommend this office to anyone. The Dentist was great, but the staff lacks in many ways. You spend most of your time with staff and if they cant provide the customer service then they arent worth my time. Dont want to do your job, you dont want to be there QUIT and then they should hire staff that do want their job.

Ive went here for a few years, take my oldest here. At first, they were fine, I was pleased. Around a year ago, I go in while pregnant to get a tooth cleaning. It was painful, my gums bled as she scraped UNDER them. Not only did it hurt, but the severe scraping caused several cavities. I didnt go back until this past friday (4 days ago). I go in because my tooth hurts. That was my main appointment reason. Doctor had no idea. So then he tapped on my teeth and took an xray. Told me my tooth was infected and that it needed to come out. I expressed wanting to try something else first. He tried to sell me a root canal as my insurance didnt cover them. Turns out, my insurance could cover them if an exception is requested. So, during the extraction it was still painful, he wiggled my tooth really hard, so my gums around the two that were taken out plus the teeth on either side are inflamed. My tooth next to my infected one hurts now and there is a bubble/ulcer forming on the gum now. I wasnt given antibiotics for any infection nor did the xray show the other tooth that hurt. This is just my personal experience. I will not be returning. When I asked the dentist why I had to get my tooth out when someone I knew had horrible teeth and he was able to get his filled (at the same office) he was snippy with me and kind of yelled "I dont know." and in the next breath tried to sell me a root canal. My kids and I will find someone else who values their patients and treats them with respect. The partners at this place have to remember that their patients pay their bills, not the other way around.

This office is highly disappointing. I had my son there today to have his teeth looked at and while we were sitting in the room waiting for the dentist there was a woman hold a crying baby in the hallway while she waited on someone to get their teeth cleaned. All we hear is a man yelling down the hall at them that they needed to make that stop because they were disrupting the office and they needed to do something. Not only did he yell it at the woman once but he did it a second time. Then lucky us we find out it is the doctor that was seeing my son. He walks in the room and says " man, get in under control". First off this is completely unprofessional and second it is just down right rude and not how you act in a place of business. The doctor then proceeded to get a little snippy with me in my sons appointment. When it was time for us to leave I asked the receptionist if this was something that he thought was alright and she said "I know, I understand" I then ask her to speak to whoever was in charge of the doctors only to find out that the doctors dont answer to anyone because they are owners. How in the hell are you an owner and think it is okay to run a business like this. Dr. Yelk in my opinion is completely unprofessional and down right ignorant. I have a 3 month old at home and if anyone ever spoke to me like that they would regret it. Do not go to this dentist office!!!!

I went to this office a couple of months ago as a new patient. My appointment went OK. I went to the office for my cleaning appointment. I was on time for my appointment and ended up waiting 45 minutes which was absolutely ridiculous because I travel from Harrisburg to this office and didnt think I would be seen this late. It turns out I was getting my cleaning done by a new hygienist who was only starting her first week. She didnt use ultrasonic scaler nor took her time to use her hand instruments to clean my teeth. She literally took 10 minute to talk and "clean my teeth". I felt like my procedure was being rushed because she was behind on schedule probably because she spent so much time on previous patient. I didnt get good cleaning service and decided I wanted to be seen by another dentist and requested record of my xrays. The receptionist said they charge $20. That so messed up. Its my records why should I have to pay that much! I went to other dental offices and they never charged me. Im so happy Im going to a new dentist i had enough.
