I recommend Pediatrics of Williamsburg to everyone!!! I’ve been going there for 3.5 years and have yet to have any issues. The entire staff is so sweet; they will squeeze you in for sick appointments, their on-call system is quick to respond, and the doctors are amazing. I LOVE Dr. Powell!!! She is the most amazing pediatrician I could have ever asked for. Every single time we have been in for checkups, or for sick visits she makes me feel like my kids are the most important patients she has (and I know she does this with all her patients). She keeps up with the latest researches, and informs me when I see her. When I have a concern with something she’s not the type of doctor to say “well, let’s give it a few weeks and see what happens”. She handles it that day. It’s important as parents to feel like your child’s doctor actually cares for them like you do, and she is passionate about her job and her patients. When my baby was 2 weeks old I thought his heartbeat sounded like it was skipping every now and then; she waited in the room with us (talking and assisting) for 20 minutes until my son stopped crying so she could listen to a solid rhythm and make sure he was o.k. You will never feel like a question is too stupid to ask, you will never feel like your concern is non-sense, and you will never feel rushed. We are military so we will move again, but if there was anyone from Williamsburg that I could pack up and keep it would be her!

We have had the most wonderful experience with this practice, and in particular with Dr. Powell. Our son came crashing into the world early (six weeks) with many medical issues ranging from underdeveloped lungs and lack of muscle tone from the absence of amniotic fluid the last weeks of pregnancy, to more serious neurological concerns. Dr. Powell has been there since the day after we brought him home from the NICU. She is comforting, incredibly aggressive and responsive, and makes you feel that every concern you raise merits her full professional attention. She will call even when she is off to see how things are going, and in an era where doctors and nurses are pushed to process patients fast to make up for lowered payments by treating in volume, you will never be rushed. The practice itself is staffed by very friendly, knowledgable, and compassionate staff that are good about returning calls, working with schedules to accommodate working parents, and to set you at ease. Our little guy is doing fantastic, and Dr. Powell being part of his treatment team is a big part of that. Just a terrific doctor.

At first I really enjoyed this practice but that slowly turned to dislike. You will sit on hold whenever you call, no matter the time of day. The one thing that I really dont like about this practice is the nurse line. They are about the rudest nurses Ive ever talked to in my life! Ive seen three of the pediatricians at the practice and I am really not pleased. They make it very obvious they just want money from your insurance and dont care for your child at all. My daughter is four months old and still dealing with unresolved reflux that they basically just tell me that she will grow out of, they are of no help whatsoever. The receptionists behind the counter love to just talk to each other and ignore you. The only saving grace is one of the nurses that work there. I cant remember her name but she is such a sweet older woman! I really love her but she isnt worth staying at a practice I feel doesnt care about my child.

My daughter has been going to them since she was born. They did everything they could to figure out why she wasnt gaining weight and always in so much pain. With such a variety of specialists within the CHKD, they figured it out. And when she needed to be seen for sicknesses, they always fit her in within hours. And even after moving to GA thanks to the army, I can still call the nurses line and be helped over the phone with no problem. They return calls quickly and are so helpful. I also know that if Im ever in Williamsburg, and need a pediatrician, that they will welcome me back there. Thank you so much!

We absolutely love Pediatric Associates of Williamsburg. Their front office staff are always smiling and welcoming. They are incredibly efficient as well. We have never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes before being taken back and placed in a room. All of their nurses seem to truly love their job and are so patient and endearing with our 9 month old. We see Dr. Downey primarily and cannot say enough good things about him. He takes his time with every visit and is objective, informative, and incredibly approachable/personable. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Wonderful Staff! I have taken my two boys to PAW for 5+ years now, and must say, that we have always had good experiences. However, when Dr. Linkous came on staff.... Wow!!! Our good, went to GREAT!! She takes a very hands on and dedicated approach to treating my sons, and I am grateful! Dr. Linkous is simply the BEST!! Oh, I cannot forget about Ashleigh, a wonderful nurse - who has a fun personality. The front desk staff, Joyce - Gail - Denitra and Amanda...are gems!!! I will keep my boys at PAWS as long as Dr. Linkous is here :-)

Absolutely stunned at how inefficient this practice is! We arrived at 1:55 for a 2 oclock appointment and waited in a room for more than 45 minutes. Finally we left after never seeing the doctor. This not the first time this has happened to us, but it will be the last. Dont waste your time!

Taken both children there for almost 9 years. Charging to simply put a signature on a school form for life saving medication is ridiculous. Cant wait to find another pediatrician.
