I was a patient of Dr. Hos at Neibauer Dental Care in Gainesville, VA about two years ago. The dental care I received there rates among the worst I have ever known. Conditions in the office were unsanitary, the goggles they placed over my eyes were dirty, and at one point the dental assistant grabbed an unsterilized paper towel and inserted it in my mouth. I had a tooth extracted to prepare for a bridge and the site became infected. It had to be treated for more than three weeks before they could install the new bridge. The dentist and her assistant were always rushing about, always in a hurry to see the next patient, and consequently didnt take the time to do a careful, sanitary job. They demanded I sign a paper releasing them from liability in case anything went wrong. The bridge they installed was set too low and I began to have pain in my jaw, so I went to see another dentist. His x-rays showed that their bridge wasnt even cemented properly. There were gaps and spaces underneath it. The new dentist had to start all over again, remove the old bridge, and make a new one. For the first time in two years I can chew in comfort and have no more pain in my jaw. Avoid this dental practice at all costs. There are many competent dentists in the Gainesville, VA area. Consider dental care with some of the others. Youll be glad you did.

I dont know what happened, the service here use to be great before the name change. Earlier this year I went in for my second free cleaning of the year and was tricked into unnecessary services. I need an oral exam and a cancer screening, I figured I am here why not. I received both without any hesitation, when it was time for my cleaning I was given multiple options on what fluoride I wanted to have applied to my teeth. I picked one, the hygienist applied it and let me leave. As I head out to book my follow up appointment the front desk mentions that I am being charged for the cancer screening, oral exam, and fluoride I picked. I dont have an issue paying for the services, which I did. However not being told ahead of a time that each one had a cost associated with it, rubbed me the wrong way. I decided against booking my follow up appointment and refuse to go back after many years. Although further and out of my way I will go back to my original dentist in Herndon.

Last night I broke a tooth on the way home. I no longer live in Gainesville but I happened to be in the area getting dinner. Since I was a previous patient I remembered they had late hours and prayed they could take me in...THEY DID!!! Dr Hong was one of the best dentist I have ever been to...they took me in without an appt and I left a few hours later with a temporary crown!!! Although I do not live in the immediate area it is close enough to work that I can see them still... They have a patient for life now!!

I have had a horrible experience with this dentist office. Horrible is a nice word to describe my experience with them. I have received a bill for the same amount after the account had been closed. They are telling me that they will send it to collections if I do not pay for it. Ive sent them numerous emails and no response. The manager needs to attend a training of how to be a manager because she has VERY VERY VERY POOR customer service skills. Please do yourself a favor and never go to this dentist.

I have been going to Gainseville Smiles for years! Dr. Hong is very honest and never does more than what is needed. The dental hygienist Ive used is very competent and really knows what she is doing (Christina). I went to dentists in the past that would immediately jump into high cost procedures with little explanation. However, Dr. Hong and Christina only do whats necessary and always take the time to explain everything! I highly recommend this practice, I drive all the way from Maryland!

My experience was absolutely terrible. The doctor diagnosed me with four cavities when I have been cavity free my entire life. I went back to my previous dentist who assessed that none of my teeth required fillings. The entire appointment felt like I had been tricked into sitting down for 45 minutes to get a sales pitch on every single possible procedure they could get me or my insurance to pay for. I am never going back.

Horrible experience here. My husband was very uncomfortable physically. Choking, couldnt breathe. Dentists always insisting on procedures that were not needed. Refused to send our dental records to new dentist and tried overcharging after procedures were agreed upon. New dentist said teeth were in mint condition and did not need what this dentist said he had to have

Inquired about a badly needed tooth extraction. Was told it would be no problem and they took my info. Passed up many other places offering me an appointment. When i arrived i was told that they didnt take my insurance and didnt bother to call. Now in pain until monday

This is a rebrand of niebeuer dental care. They overcharge, dont know how to bill and LIED to me about who they were when they called to schedule my appointment.
