I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful office and staff. My son came in as a new, emergency patient. The previous evening we had gone to another practice who were TERRIBLE, and that is truly putting it mildly. He needed a tooth extracted, and his father and I could hear him screaming from the back. Long story short, we were told that they got his tooth halfway out, which caused infection being released in his mouth. They said they were "dismissing" us, literally the dentists own words, as he needed to go somewhere else that could sedate him. So, I called Sparkles first thing the next morning. They hadnt opened yet so I left a VM. It didnt take 30 mins for a call back and the lady on the phone asked how soon could we get him there. I was shocked that not only could they get him in asap, but we had never been there so I was afraid we were looking at a few days to get in, at a minimum. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted and offered coffee, bottled water, and snacks! We were pretty much immediately called back and Maurice, the dental assistant, took us to the room and was so nice and professional. From listening to me rant about our previous experience to explaining how they do things, he was great. We then meet Dr. Musselwhite, who was awesome. They both knew my son was scared and traumatized from the previous days events. He took his time talking to my son (just like Maurice), general chit chat and making him feel comfortable with what they were going to do. And let me tell you, they did not rush anything,and best of all? My son did not even need to be sedated!! This group is not only professional, but amazing with kids. This is now our new dentist for both my son and daughter! Thank you so much for making my son have a positive experience and not be traumatized about the dentist!

Our ENTIRE experience with this dental office was awesome! The staff was extremely friendly and the waiting room area was really nice. There were games for our children to play with, both video games and toys for the different age groups of our children. I was really excited to learn we could come back there with our children because at their previous dental office, we were not allowed to go back there with them during their visit. The kids enjoyed their visit and look forward to going back. At the end of their visit they were given prizes and lollipops and balloons and frosty coupons and free cheeseburger coupons...My husband and I were BLOWN away with this office, I hope we wont have to move again anytime soon so our children can continue to be seen at this office for many years to come! The BEST pediatric dentistry office in all of Virginia....Hands Down!!!!

Why did we not switch sooner??? We had an excellent first visit to Sparkle Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lewis and her staff were top notch. From start to finish, it was great. Their office was convenient and easy to get to in Short Pump. The environment was aesthetically pleasing and kid-friendly. Everyone in the office was amicable and took a genuine interest in my children (ages 8 & 11). The hygienists were very thorough and accommodating. Dr. Lewis exceeded our expectations in every way. She took her time with us and our visit was a happy experience. I am so glad we made the move.

Excellent experience. After arriving and checking in we were called back almost immediately - no wait time!! We explained my sons high anxiety due to a previous bad experience at another office(not Sparkle). They talked him through each and every step so gently and carefully and took their time with him. They were very through - had immediate in depth answers to all of our questions. Just an overall amazing place. So many cute things to occupy the childs attention as well. I also wanted to add that we saw Dr.Jill - She was top notch!!!

We love this office! My daughter had a bad experience at the first dentist we tried and a friend told us to try this dentist office instead. Weve seen both Dr. Lewis and Dr. Musselwhite with my 2 yr old and they are both so amazing. Dr. Musselwhite did a procedure that required my daughter be under general anesthesia and the long wait so was nerve wracking. He called down to the waiting room an hour into the procedure just to let us know she was doing great. Highly recommended this office to everyone!

Dr. Holly Lewis is without question the most skilled and caring pediatric dentist in the Richmond area. Ive never met a dentist who is so willing to take the time to talk to you and make sure you understand everything, or to go the extra mile to take on emergency cases when needed. All of the staff are terrific and love taking care of my children when we visit. Plus, my kids love being able to play on the video games in the waiting room and watch TV while getting work done.

Melissa was wonderful with my 3 year old son! He has never had a good experience with the dentist since he has extrinsic staining, he has to get his teeth cleaned every 6 months. We usually have to hold him down and its awful. Yesterday, he really took to Melissa and he was able to open his mouth and allow them to clean, scrape, inspect, and apply fluoride with no problems and no tears! This was the best visit and I definitely want to request Melissa again!

My family and I just moved to Richmond,Va from Atlanta,Ga therefore, I was a bit weary that we wouldnt find another great dentist here without trail and error. However, we were MORE than grateful to find Spakle Dentistry! Dr. Holly and her team were everything plus. Everyone was friendly and showed genuine care towards our girls who are ages5 & 3. The environment was very welcoming and kid friendly. We will continue going until they leave for college.

My kids have been seeing Dr. Lewis for a few years now. I couldnt imagine sending them to another practice; they absolutely love her! Shes really kind and patient with them. The assistants are so well. They take the time to explain their processes to my kids and answer any questions. I have recommended several of my friends and family to Dr. Lewis and her practice and I do not think any of them have been disappointed either.

The entire staff was warm, nice and welcoming! My 3 year old had is first time and did so well due to all the niceness and smiles and the same goes for my 9 year olds cleaning even though due to Kool Smiles he has some dental anxiety. He even said he really Dr. Jill and her team andhe wante to keep going back there! It warmed my heart to hear that! Thank you so much Dr. Jill and everyone else at PDV!!

Service is excellent as always. The only concern I had was when the doctor ask me a question and I proceeded to tell her the answer she turned her back to me and started talking to someone else that approached her. I felt that The doctor shouldve kept her attention on me and my daughter as the patient and when she was done with me then she couldve handled her other affair.

Absolutely love Dr. Lewis and all her amazing staff!! My kids love it there! My kids have enamel issues with their teeth like me and she has been amazing with caring for their teeth. I couldnt ask for a better place! We travel an hour to go there the 2 times a year and it is well worth it. Highly recommend her if youre looking for a wonderful pediatric dentist.
