This review is not based on Dr. Murry, as I have never met him. However, this score is based on the other dentist in his office, Dr. Kuhn. I went to see Dr. Kuhn trying to find a dentist closer to my home after I moved from the Museum District out to Powhatan. On a positive note, his dental hygienist was excellent and very thorough. On the negative note, here is my story...I went to Dr. Kuhn for a routine annual check-up. I was in my first trimester of pregnancy, which I made him well aware of. After looking at my teeth (without an x-ray b/c I was pregnant), he was set on removing multiple mercury fillings that I had in my molars since I was a child because they looked suspicious. He wanted to do this prior to having an x-ray to see what was really going on, and even suggested we do this as soon as possible during my first trimester. I obviously was concerned with this recommendation and asked many questions. He said they would use a strong vacuum to remove the mercury from my mouth and probably none would be ingested. This was unbelievable to me! The risk of exposure of mercury to a fetus could be detrimental. After some protesting, I agreed to disagree and then bolted out of there as soon as I could. I went back to my dentist in the city and he also said he disagreed with Dr. Kuhn and would definitely take a more conservative approach and just keep an eye on the fillings as he had been doing for years (with X-rays as well). I would not recommend Dr. Kuhn to anyone, especially if you are expecting.

I have been going to Murry & Kuhn for about 10 years, and my husband has been going there since childhood. We now take our own children there as well. I could not ask for a better experience, every single time we go! The staff is very friendly, scheduling is a breeze, the office is beautiful & clean, and their work is thorough and painless. I also love how you can go in for a cleaning, but if they find that you need minor work done, they will offer to knock it out right there... no need to schedule another appointment & have to go back! I also love how amazing the entire staff is with my two young children (ages 7 & 4). No need for a separate pediatric dentist! I would highly recommend this office to anyone!

My name is Heather and Doctor Murry has been my dentist and my only dentist and I will not have it any other way. As a child I looked forward to my dentist visits and now at 24 thanks to such a WONDERFUL staff, I STILL LOVE GOING!!!!!! He is and will always be the best around town and I recommend to everyone, no matter how old or young! This has been my family dentist office and one day when I have children they will go to Murrys office as well!! Go ahead, set up your first appointment with them, you will never look for another dentist again, for the Murry & Kuhn group is the best!

The doctors and staff at Murry & Kuhn dentistry are simply the best! They take the time to get to know their patients and create treatment plans that are unique to each person. My husband was going to another dental office in the area and I begged him to let this office take a second look. He was so glad he did because the service that he got was far better and most importantly they saved him a lot of $. Their is never any pressure here and I highly recommend you make an appointment. You will be so happy you did.

The staff is very professional but friendly. They make you feel comfortable so you can ask anything without feeling self conscious. My initial exam and cleaning were up to my standards as I had worked in a dental office for many years. Dr, Murray repaired a cracked filling at the same appointment so I didnt have to come back again. I have found a home for my dental care and couldnt be happier.

Ive had several different dental hygienists, and each performed care that exceeds standards. Ive never had to cry, scream, or ask for pain reduction interventions (local anesthetic, etc.)... Everyone I came in contact with at Dr. Murrys office was so kind and seemed like they really wanted to help me and make my visit comfortable. I loved that Dr. Murry used technology in his office and explained everything he was going to do. I would recommend Dr. Murry to anyone who is looking for an excellent Dentist in a friendly environment.

We have had nothing but good visits with this dental practice! We switched after I had a terrible experience with a dentist in Midlothian. Word of mouth brought us to you all before children. Completely disappointed!! Never heard of a Orthodontist discharging you from his care because you answered a survey about your most recent visit. Do not take your time to visit Dr. Murry if your looking for Orthodontist care for your children. AND apparently WE are NO the FIRST family this was done to.

The office staff was great and Dr. Murry took the time to provide me with options so that I could be involved in my treatment plan. This is a family operation and you feel like they try and treat you as one of their own. Its a short drive from Midlothian but well worth the trip!
