I first met Dr. Pearlman when he was in his last year of dental school at MCV. I was new to Richmond, VA, had no idea who to go to for the dental issue that suddenly popped up, and MCV was recommended. I was hesitant at first since Ive never been to a med/dental school provider before, but I needed this tooth thing fixed. I was lucky to get Dr. Pearlman - who easily dealt with my dentist-phobia, exhibited brilliance in his approach and unlike some of the other seniors I noted, Dr. Pearlman did not require any overhead supervision - it seemed to be understood he was already a master of his craft. Dr. Pearlman has my trust - so much so that when I moved to NYC and had a severe emergency involving an infection in my jaw - I flew back to Richmond, Dr. Pearlman opened his office on a Saturday and arranged for a maxillofacial doctor to see me as well. That is the kind of care a doctor who is passionate about his work and cares for his patients provides. Dr. Pearlmans practice had been located in the W.End for many years, so when he relocated to Louisa, it was grossly inconvenient for my husband and me. However, as far as were concerned, he is more than worth the 1 hour and 15 minutes it now takes for us to get to his practice.

Took my 6 year old daughter in on 8/6/15 because she has a cavity. Perlman numbed her and started working shortly after. She was crying and saying it was hurting. He pretty much said thats impossible and shes just going to have to deal with it. She kept crying as hes drilling and he threw his hands up, said he cant deal with this, and walked out. A couple minutes later he told an assistant that she could try if she wanted but he was done. The assistant told us he was drilling on a nerve and thats why she was crying. As a temporary solution, they covered it with something and told us well need to take her to another dentist. The two ladies at the front desk booked another appointment for us in Charlottesville, and said "Mr" Pearlman normally isnt like this. That is my one and only dealing with this man. Obviously, never again.

I have always had a big phobia of Dentist, Therefore had many teeth in bad shape. Upon meeting with Dr. Pearlman at a clinic, He has made me very comfortable and was very concerned about the fate of my teeth, Well, I am on the road to a very happy recovery, I chose him to be my Dentist and have had many visits, I would drive any distance to see him, This Dentist knows how to put people at ease, This may sound funny, but, he has rooms that are themed, puts your next appointment on a million dollar bill, you also get emails and text to remind you of your appointment. Very up on the current times.

Ive gone to Dr. Pearlman twice now. He worked on trying to save my tooth for over an hour. He was unsuccessful but even though he was extremely busy that day he went ahead and pulled the tooth out. I offered to come back later trying to not make him to busy during his day with his staff but he was fine with helping me. Taking my son there next week (some how he loves the dentist) hes 3 years old. My mouth hurts like crazy but he helped me out in the end of it.

Dr. Pearlman and his staff are truly caring people! Every staff member is kind, courteous, and understanding of the needs of their patients. Recently my family has needed more dental work than normal, and Dr. Pearlman has done an amazing job each time. When emergency services were needed, they did not hesitate to help us. Dr. Pearlman has taken care of my family’s dental needs for years. I highly recommend Dr. Pearlman!
