Dr. Sparks and staff are the best! We have been patients for years and have always enjoyed our visits. Everyone in the office is dedicated to making the entire dental experience as painless and enjoyable as possible. They are so good I have recommended them to everyone I know. Unless I move, I will not be looking for another dentist. Updated review 12-May-2017. I cant create a new review for VA Family Dentistry, but I can update this one. If I could give them a higher rating I would. Recently I had to have a crown put on. Dr. Sparks and Jennifer performed a completely painless crown prep and gave me a temporary crown. A week later I broke my temporary crown (completely my fault) and called to get a new temp while my permanent crown was being manufactured. Dr. Sparks and her team called the lab and put a rush on my permanent crown, and scheduled me for the next day. I simply cannot say enough nice things about everyone at this practice. They really do go the extra mile to make your oral health their number one priority.

Not many people love going to the dentist but the wonderful staff have brought me as close to "love" as possible. My family has benefited from going to this dentist for nearly five years. They have been great with my children. I have personally seen three of the dentists on staff (Dr. Cios is my regular dentist) and several of the hygienists and each one of them has been friendly and expressed interest in my life. Most importantly, they always have my comfort as one of their priorities. Their work is performed with excellence in mind. The reception/billing/appointment staff is also wonderful - very nice; willing to work with your schedule and make sure you understand what your insurance will cover. The new building is a plus - clean, well organized, well-decorated, and the rooms I have been in have large windows that allow plenty of natural light. I would gladly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist in Powhatan.

I set up an appointment with this practice in the hopes of finding a competent dentist in a positive environment for me and my family. I was NOT disappointed! Sharon was a thorough, friendly and professional hygienist, and although I only spent about three minutes with Dr. Nikki Perkinson, I found her to be friendly and courteous. Most impressive was the administrative staff. Friendly, kind and welcoming, each one treated us with courtesy and respect. From the moment I walked in the door, I sensed that this was a place where people really loved their jobs. That translated to genuine enthusiasm and respect for each patient, regardless of their needs. I am impressed with this dental practice and highly recommend it. What a great business to have in a great community!

I know I am going to have a good experience when I walk in the door and am greeted by smiling faces asking how I am doing. I hardly sit down before I am taken back for my appointment. Dr Ghazarian cares for you as a whole person and not just a mouth. If you need a type of dental work and he feels he cannot give you 100%, then he will send you to someone he feels can do that. I have to use a walker and he and his staff are always asking me if I am comfortable and "all right." Plus he is very easy on the eyes ! As you can see, I am very pleased with Va. Family Dentistry and will continue to go there.

Wonderful staff!!! I was pretty nervous about going in (no insurance and I knew I had to get a tooth pulled) Everyone from the front desk to the assistant made me feel as comfortable as possible. The doctor made sure I had minimal pain and continued to make sure I was comfortable. When I went to check out the lovely lady that helped me gave me some wonderful advise (downloaded an app on my phone that helped save money on my RX) Overall it was a pleasure working with this group. I would recommend to friends and family :)

My first experience with dental work was when I was five years old in 1938 Since then I have seen many dental physicians many who are memorable in an extremely negative way.Without a doubt Dr Sparks is at the top of my list of positive experiences. All the staff with whom I have had contact would rate at ten plus on a scale of one to ten (one being the most dismal.) Eight members of my family are clients at the same facility and we all agree that it is the best ! Thank you .

I have been going to VFD for years at the Huguenot Location; however when Dr Will moved to Powhatan I was concerned.... after one visit with a replacement I quickly changed locations to Powhatan.. Since retiring and moving, I am now 2.5 hours away, but still I will make that trip because I trust him and this staff.... Going to the Dentist is near the bottom of my things to do list; but the health of my teeth is important, so I must trust my Dentist... and I do...

I had put off having dental work done, mostly out of fear. I was recommended by a friend to Dr. Nikki Perkinson, and she put all my fears to rest. Shes by far, the best dentist that I have ever had. Shes done considerable work in my mouth, and I have been ecstatic with the results. The entire office staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. I am recommending you to all of my friends. Because of a change in jobs, our new insurance company forced us to change dentists. We thought that this was time we went with one where we lived...Powhatan. Each family member has been there for their routine cleaning and each time we had the same reaction. Friendly, courteous...and they got us in and out in no time! Nothing quite like a healthy smile thanks to a Great Dentist and the dental assistants!

My daughter and myself had a cleaning and exam at the powhatan office, As soon as we walked in, we were greated like they had known us for years. It was the best cleaning we had ever had, Our Dentist was Nikki Perkinson who was very kind and helpful. We dont hate going to the dentist anymore. Thanks for doing such a great job!

Amazing Customer Service and great staff all the way around I am not one who loves going to the see the Dentist however today changed all that. Thank you Michelle at the Powhatan location for checking me in super fast and answering all my questions when I called to make my first appointment. You guys are the best!!!!

Relocated to Powhatan recently. Office visit for routine cleaning. Highly recommend this office. Staff knowledgable, friendly and professional. This was the first time I can remember in 40 years that my teeth didnt ache all day after a cleaning. I had no discomfort during or after the cleaning.

Moved to Powhatan last year and I knew that Virginia Family Dentistry has a superior reputation. Had my first appointment yesterday with Dr. Perkinson and the experience could not have been better. Entire staff was welcoming and just wonderful. Going to the dentist can be fun after all.
