Had an appointment for the first time here. They told me I needed some work done. I called back to reschedule an appointment. They said before I need the work done they had to do a cleaning. I asked how much it would cost and they said no charge. I proceeded to make the appointment. When I got there at the time they said they were unaware of the appointment that was made. They offered to squeeze me in and said they had to do a periochart before the cleaning. After I got in and they figured the X-rays were mixed up with someone elses they realized I had already done the periochart on my first visit. Then they wanted to charge me a two phase cleaning $481 each. So I went from a free cleaning in order to get work done to almost a thousand dollars to clean my teeth and gums!? For someone who is paying out of pocket this is not a pleasant surprise. I felt like they were trying to get me on the spot to pressure me into a decision, and reminded me of an automachanic taking advantage of someones lack of knowledge of the subject. They wasted my time but not my money. This is the kind of reason people lose trust in the medical community. Not sure if they want to help people or just take their money, but I will be going else where for another opinion.

My past experiences with dentist havent been wonderful. Because of my fears I waited 3 years to have my teeth cleaned and checked. It got to the point where I couldnt smile a big smile. Closed lip smiles was all everyone got because I was embarrassed by my teeth. I heard that Apsen dental from a friend who went to the one in PA was wonderful. She said they not only didnt judge her for her fears they made her feel comfortable. So I only live 45 minutes away from the one in hagerstown. My frist visit was amazing. Everyone accommodate to me and my fears. Every one was so nice and friendly. Ive never been to a dentist office where all staff was just fun to be around and professional. My second visit....all I can say is fabulous. Not only did they make sure I was comfortable. They gave me back my smile. My teeth look amazing. I havent been able to smile big in years. They will work with you on your fears and payment plans. Thanks everyone at the office and thanks to the dentist that fixed my teeth.

I ditto Tim Wittingtons post!!...Had about 3000dollars worth of root Canal, posts and crowns in NY last year finishing up in July...Recently moved to Hagerstown in Jan.2017 Upon reading these reviews before scheduling appointment I thought I found a good dentist...Well...yesterday I go for Exam and X-rays..A nice, friendly dentist starts to explain that I need this, I need that...I get complete printout explaining that I will need 12 visits to complete all this work...I just want a CLEANING!!!....The front office staff starts to explain that I will need this special cleaning which is a 3-Step cleaning...she starts to mention a $550(which was on the original printout of dental work I supposedly needed right away) and before she finished explaining cleaning, I just walked out...The cost of all this work I supposedly needed would cost me $10,521 of which a small amount of $2784.00 will be picked up by my discount plan!!...Really!!!...Run people!!..Run!!

I had a broken tooth so I did a walk in to try and get it fixed. The lady was nice and explained to me I might have a long wait as I didnt have an appointment. After about 30 min they called my (first) name but another guy stood up so I just assumed he was a regular. Another hour and a half later they call my name only for me to go back and realize they had messed up and switched our paperwork and it was me that was supposed to have been seen the first time. Normally I wouldnt have minded but they did the exact same thing on my return visit to actually have my tooth pulled. They might want to add last name initials to avoid this problem. As for the actual tooth pulling, it was painless and the dental assistants were very nice. The doctor however complained to me the entire time and literally told me never to come back if I have any other problems because my roots were to long and it was "to hard" for her to do it.

I would have left negative stars if I could have. I was told over the phone when I scheduled an appointment that they would take x rays, do an examination and a cleaning. They didnt mention that it would be over multiple visits. The dentist didnt listen to what I said while she was looking at my x rays asking me questions. Then couldnt find my previous fillings on my x rays and then could find only 1 of the 5. They tried telling me that I needed to come back for multiple visits and it was going to cost me way more than I had spent in an entire year at my previous dentist who did preventive care and all my fillings. They tried pushing a $135 electric toothbrush. Total money pit, youre just a dollar sign.

It took 5 appointments to get a cleanse and fillings done (they say it was for insurance purposes so I guess its ok) . They tried to include a toothbrush I did not want in my bill, i declined it the first time and they kept pushing me to buy it for the next 2 appointments. My last appointment to get my fillings put in was pushed back twice (i work, so i have to get appointments at certain days and time) and when I was finally able to get it done, they were understaffed and I could tell they were working on me in a hurry. One tooth still feels weird and I will go somewhere else to get it looked at. The entire staff was friendly however I was not pleased with the experience.

This place is a joke. I went there after my pervious dentist was planning on no longer taking our insurance. One of my fillings fell out. This place said I need three crowns, and 6 fillings. They wanted my to finance the remaining 2,000 dollars that wasnt covered. Furious I contacted my pervious dentist who agreed to see me. After looking at the x rays from aspen dental and examining my teeth, he conculed that I only need a filling on the tooth which the filling fell out of. Aspen said I would need a crown on that tooth. So in the end I only have to pay for two fillings quite a difference compared to the 2 grand aspen wanted to shell out. Dont be s sucker. BEWARE!!

Everyone was nice BUT, First visit checked everything out with my teeth was told I need this I need that, started out at $10,000 bucks I dont think so just wanted my teeth cleaned, ohhh we can do that it will cost over $850.00 bucks!!!!!! I said I just want a cleaning thru my insurance well we cant due just that because of mal practice insurance, what a bunch of bullshit my copay was only $20 bucks and I could not even get that. All I can say is run the other way nothing but a rip off.

By far the worst dentist. Im not sure if they just dont know what theyre doing or if theyre just out for your money. They said in order to anything I HAD to have a cleaning not just a cleaning but an expensive 2 step cleaning. Also told me I had over 9 cavities! Including on the front of my front teeth. He hardly examined me before going across my mouth claiming just about every tooth had a cavity. I went to a real dentist and I have 1 cavity. Would not recommend!
