first off if your going to this dentist because they are the only place in Kitsap county that takes medical coupons, then take the extra drive and go to Tacoma. Getting your teeth cleaned: a play by play. -sit in waiting room for 30-60min -sit in chair for 20min -have teeth X-rayed -sit and wait for another 30min -dental assistant spends 3-5min POLISHING your teeth -wait 30min -dentist comes over, looks at your xrays, tells you to brush 5 times a day and moves on to the next person. your appointment is over. No tarter buildup has been removed from your teeth. You have wasted two hours of your day, and you have been charged for a full cleaning. If your using medicaid then this means you have another year before you can get another cleaning, unless you pay out of pocket. Getting a filling: I got my half-assed cleaning, then was told to make an appointment for a filling. The nearest appointment was a month away and at 4 in the afternoon. I asked them if that was enough time to pick up my daughter on the other side of town by 5:30. They said yes. i verified with 3 other people, and once again when i arrived for my appointment at 3:45. I went back at 4:15, they xrayed my teeth, numbed my gums, and then i sat for an hour while they helped 6 other people (two of which were extractions- who cried out in pain... probably because they waited so long that they were getting feeling back). I asked an assistant what was taking so long because i only had 15min before i needed to leave. He looked concerned and told me that i should have expected to wait an hour, and then it could take an hour to fill ONE LITTLE CAVITY. so the front desk lied. not just one of them FOUR OF THEM, on separate occasions. I asked the assistant why they didnt tell me to expect a 2 or more hour appointment, and he said "they dont know what they are talking about. They have no idea what goes on back here, they have it good up there. Ive tried to tell them to inform people that it could take that long but they dont listen." So I get up, half my face numb, the other half waking up (which means that if they had gotten around to me, then they would have had to re numb me, and wait another 15min before doing anything....). I go to the front desk and demand to know why they didnt tell me the REAL time estimate of this appointment, I tell the lady that the assistant said that they should tell people to expect 2hrs, not one, and she says "what?! i dont know why they would tell you that, who told you that? Well he shouldnt have said that because fillings take an hour." Well CLEARLY they dont, and the assistant knows this. After lots of yelling about how Im not going to wait another month to get a new appointment, they offered for me to come in at 9am the next morning and "wait to see if they can get me in" or come in at 2 for an emergency appointment slot. After consideration that being a walk-in would probably mean sitting for an hour or two for a slot, then wait for the dentist for an hour, and then another hour for the fillings (which would put me in somewhere between noon and one if i was lucky) that it would be better to just take the 2pm appointment. Basically- dont waste your time on this place, you would do better paying out of pocket. This place is a joke. However if you dont mind long waits, assembly line treatment, and half assed work, all in the name of cheap or free, then go for it- but you have been warned.

Gotta be completely honest here. Cuz thats how I do things. Alright. Ill start off by saying that this building is by no means an easy building to spot. Its right next to a VAPE smoke store and there was no easily visible sign anywhere to be seen. Luckily, my GPS carried my ass to the right place. The girl at the desk is not only cute, but very helpful and kind. Filled out a piece of paper and started waiting. I ended up waiting 40 minutes before getting called to the back. There was around 4 people ahead of me. Upon walking through the door, the assistant set me down and took some xrays of my chompers. Even though my breath stunk up the entire building with a particular rot smell, the assistant was very nice and pretended she didnt notice a thing. She also continuously blamed herself for the xrays being blurry, but it was clearly myself jittering from nervousness. Okay, so after the xrays, the assistant sat me down in a squeaky dentist chair. Look, Im not gonna lie, Im overweight, so the chair went through some stress. There are no rooms for patients, only 1 big room with cubicles in between. About 5 minutes after sitting down, the doctor came up and started asking very direct questions. VERY DIRECT. You dont see this often with dentists. Usually they explain EVERYTHING to you, and you dont understand half of the technical jargon. But not here. The doctors first words were his recommendation of the work to be done. The doctor has an accent, but didnt mind me asking "Sorry can you explain that again?" over and over again hahaha. Okay, so this next part kind of sucks. There was 1 doctor trying to fix 15 different people. I wasnt operated on for almost an hour, but I can see his shoulders behind the cubicle walls working with other patients. The waiting wasnt the bad part, it was the damn drill noise you hear in almost every dental office. I hate that noise. Like fingernails on a chalkboard. Gah. By the time he saw me, I was ready to book it out of there because I was so nervous. Now heres the reason Im giving ABC Dental 5 stars. The doctor said "Alright Anthony, I want you to relax and take 60 deep breaths, and this will all be over." I was like "he cant actually be serious." Turns out it took 64 deep breaths... to pull 2 teeth, my wisdom and another tooth. He works like a pro people. He knows how to get the job done quickly and efficiently. He cares a lot about the patients that dont abuse the system, because ABC dental is one of the only places that accept Washington Apple Health insurance. I was VERY VERY nervous going in there, but the doctor laid down the law, did his work, shook my hand, and began helping another patient. No hard questions, no condescending advice, no beating around the bush, this doctor is a pro. For a dental office that accepts medicaid, ABC gets 5 stars from me. Thanks out to doctor H. Barakhshan!

First off, Im a huge baby when it comes time to see a dentist. Id rather take a bullet to the stomach than go to a dentist. I have an extremely irrational fear to say the least. Reading these reviews didnt help that. But I mustered up some courage and went. He was awesome! He worked through all my childish moaning and groaning, and helped push me through my fears. To all the reviewers giving one star and terrible reviews, F U. One person went so far as to blame his office for being too long a drive from their house...really? And saying his office was unclean and the bathroom, and pretty much every other miniscule thing you can think of was bad. Im writing this review to put all that B.S. to bed. This is not some high class hoity toity dentist office by any means, its an old building with some worn furniture, but its clean and well maintained. Well who cares, the man gets the job done, he was nothing but kind and patient with me. Now all that being said, I hadnt been to a dentist in over ten years. My teeth were horrible. He pulled out seven rotting stinking teeth (Two of them impacted wisdom teeth) before i could count a hundred deep breaths. Like he told me: Hes here to work, if you want to be sedated, go to the fancy surgeon and pay up. Otherwise sit back, relax, and itll all be over soon. Just what I needed. Oh, and another thing, the last three Bremerton dentists I saw flat out refused to pull the teeth (adding to my fear) even though at the time I had great insurance with full coverage! And on that note, Ive NEVER been to the same dentist more than once because of how I was treated. Yet Ill be going back to this guy, double the stars, sorry for the long review, but this guy deserves some praise!
